Lost notes on Notes App

I have an iPad 3 and created some notes in the Notes App. They were saved while I was on the plane without WiFi connection. A couple of days later I noticed the notes were gone. Is there any way to recover these or get them back?

I was able to find my lost note. Actually it was from reading one of the suggestions under lost notes. The comment was that any note you create is actually sitting in a "Notes" folder within the e-mail account you are using on the Ipad. I checked my e-mail account via my computer and found the "Notes" folder in my list of folders and in there were copies of all the notes I was missing.

Lost Notes App on iPad after failed backup and reset, how do i find them?

I have lost very important notes from my Notes App on my iPad2 after a failed backup and reset. How do I find my lost notes? They do not appear to be backed up in my iCloud account or Gmail account.

This happened to me too but it was really all there. Go to your calendar, click on calendar in the upper left hand corner, click on show all calendars, click done in the right upper corner. Everything should show up!!!

well first make sure that when you click on the name of your iphone on the left hand side of itunes that you go to the app and music tab and check mark the sync apps and sync music. then try clicking apply in the bottom right hand corner. then if not try doing it again after going to prefrences in the top menu and going to devices tab and click reset sync history if that doesnt work with music try and drop and drag to the name of your iphone, lastly if that doesnt work you can try restoring from a backup from before you updated. it will keep the new software but put everything that was on your phone when you created the backup back onto your phone.

The other day i deleted my email accounts off of my ipod and only reloaded a few of them. today i looked at my notes to look at a project i had typed on my notes because i didnt have paper and pen around to write it and i didnt want to froget. I reloaded the rest of my emails in hope that everything would reappear but sadly only some of them from 2010 loaded. Recently i had update some of the files and they were like they were when i first created them there were alos ones that i had deleted long ago. There are other notes i had made that were really important to me to andi wouldn't be able to remember every single one. Help Please!

Lost Info in NOTES app

I installed the layest upgrade b4 my Iphone 4 had synched (I think). The upgrade failed corrupting ITunes. I had to remove ITunes and assoc programs then reinstall ITunes successfully. I lost some very important info in my NOTES app. Any way I can retreive this info? thx.....

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Select the yahoo account > turn off notes then turn them back on

Lost Mac OSX notes.app after installing IBM Lotus Notes Mac client.

The stupid IBM installer messed up OSX by installing its client with the same app name. In later releases they fixed the issue, but since then I lost the native OSX notes.app.
How can I recover or reinstall the notes.app? Any other way then a system factory restore. That would set me back a few days, time which I really don't have.
Alternativelly is there a notes app on the appstore that does syncs the notes created with iOS/OSX notes.app. I searched a bit, but I couldn't find one claiming to do that. Ultimately I rather spend $10 in such an app then waisting time with restoring my Macbook.

You can simply do a 'fresh' installation of Mountain Lion - won't touch your data - by holding down the Command and R keys whilst booting and electing to install ML anew.
That will reinstall the Notes app and your data will be intact.

u can give try to using external enclosre and backup ur files. I hope u will get files back. or using external enclosre with ur hdd boot into Linux and try to mount ur harddisk.
there are multiple no of tutorial to mount apple partion in Linux.

It sounds like there’s an issue with Settings, the Notes app entry isn’t showing up as expected. Take a look at the article linked below and try restarting your iPhone 3GS.

Sorry to hear about your troubles with your PC. If you are not seeing your iPhone on your computer, then take a look at the link below to walk you through getting that working again. It may be too late but worth a try. Go to the note you pasted over. Tap the screen to bring the keyboard up. Tap the
.?123 key. Tap undo.

Are you syncing using iCloud? If so, see if they are still on iCloud.

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.

Did you take a backup before you updated to iOS 8? Did you use iTunes on a computer or iCloud backup?
I'd attempt to reinstall iOS 8 (if you think it is not working correctly) then restore the backup to see if the notes appear.
P.S. Keeping your bank account details & personal info in the Notes app is a TERRIBLE idea. It is not designed for that. Use an application that is designed to keep the data secure like 1Password or LastPass (there are many others in the app store). They will encrypt the data on the device and on any device you sync to, they also should secure the data that is sent between the devices across network connections.
Apple says it does not encrypt Notes on the server, it only encrypts it in transit to and from iCloud.

That means your bank detail notes are sitting on a server somewhere in a form that could be read by anyone who compromises Apple's servers - this may never happen, but if it does you only have yourself to blame.
