Lost notes when syncing

When syncing to new 4 i-phone everything synced but notes

I just lost all my notes on my iPhone 4S when I synced. They disappeared on my computer too but remain on my iPad? Checked both and have Notes synced to iCloud. Before I synced, the iPhone has been missing all but one recent note and I couldn't figure out why it was different from the iPad and computer. That is why I synced only to lose the one that was on there. Afraid to sync iPad since it is the only one left with all the notes intact.

  • Lost Notes When Updated to io7

I lost all my notes, when I updated to io7. How can I retrieve my notes?

All 3rd party apps on your iPhone should be in your iTunes library on your computer, and will or should be as long as you have Sync Apps selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. With this selected, after downloading an app with your iPhone the app will be copied to your iTunes library automatically the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after doing so.
You can re-download an app with iTunes on your computer or with your iPhone and you won't be charged again for a purchased app as long as you use the same iTunes account to re-download the app that was used to purchased the app originally.
Check under Reinstalling the application with this link.

  • Lost info when syncing iphone 5

I got a new I phone 5, 2 months ago.The salesperson transferred all my info to new phone. I had been charging my phone by an outlet. I finally got around to plugging it into my computer to sync it. I have seemed to have deleted all my music and some contacts and several apps by doing this. I have no idea what I did or how to retrieve anything. Help.

    You're welcome.
You obviously don't know what a run-on sentence is and there are only two questions.
I'll try to be more precise or put this in a way you can understand.
There is not an iTunes contact list.
    iTunes does not store contacts.
iTunes serves as the sync conduit for syncing contacts with a supported address book app on your computer only.
This must be manually selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
This cannot be selected all by itself.
If this was the first time you connected your iPhone to iTunes on your computer, the syncing did not start all by itself.
If you want to transfer music via the iTunes sync process, this is selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
Contacts are included with your iPhone's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process. You can try restoring your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup. Do not sync your iPhone with iTunes again before doing so and when prompted to update your iPhone's backup as the first step after selecting Restore, decline the prompt or your iPhone's backup will be overwritten and the contacts lost.

  • I purchased songs via my iPhone but lost it when syncing with itunes. How do I get them back?

    Hi everyone,
I'm sure this happened to some of you before but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I purchased music direct via my iPhone but when I synced with iTunes some of my albums were missing. What is also weird is that the digital booklets have synced but I can't find the songs. How do I get them back?
I know that Apple has a policy to not downloading twice but I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm not all that confident either so would really appreciate the help.
    Cheers.

  • Lost notes in sync

Why did I lose by notes from the noteshelf app when I synced with macbook pro?  Can I get them back?

After signing into icloud.com, the missing notes reappeared! Wow.
Then going back to the my iPhone and Mac, the missing notes reappeared there too.
A bit unsure how this all happened, but I'm going to be more careful going forward.

  • Lost Contacts when syncing

When I synced my phone today I lost my contacts, how can I recover them? Where does iTunes store them if I don't have outlook or a similar app?

If you have done a backup of your BB phone through the Desktop Manager software before the sync, you can restore your phone and its original contacts.
Otherwise, I'm afraid that your Mac address book did replace the exisiting ones on your BB ... according to what you describe. Was the sync really tuned to "Bi-directional" when you connected your phone to the Mac?
If positive, then they should be present on both devices.
Please don't forget to mark as "solved" if your question is replied and to "like" a useful reply to your post ;-)

  • Outlook is replacing notes when syncing

When I sync my iPhone, my notes keep being replaced with the older out of dates notes from Outlook instead of updating Outlook with the noes on my iPhone. I haven't checked the box under Info-Other-Replace notes on this iPhone so I'm not sure why it is doing this and it's very annoying! Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks

    Here's a Possible FIX!!
I ran into the same problem - Not able to Sync Outlook Notes after I upgraded my iPhone OS to 4.0 with iTunes 9.2.
Here's what I did to get that fix (aka to get around it).
I pretty much did all the standard procedure stuff. i.e. reinstalled iTunes, check and uncheck all Outlook related issues on iTunes.
The last thing that I did was to use an IMAP email account to bring Outlook Notes into iPhone.
** Try to do the standard procedures suggest by Apple and other users first. If it doesn't work, try this.
    1) Create an IMAP account on your OUTLOOK (I have Outlook 2007).
    2) Set up a SAME IMAP account on your iPhone.
    3) On your iPhone, you will see two switches (mails and notes), be sure both are "ON".
    4) Sync your iPhone and Outlook (be sure to check the "Sync Notes with Outlook" box.
    5) As usual, there is no guaranteed it will work the first time, but play around with it.
At least it works for me at last (after 5 hours of struggles).
Apple is not any help at all.

  • ICloud has deleted some 400 notes when syncing with my new iPhone 5. I have a backup on a time capsule.

    Hi,
When synching my notes from laptop to new Iphone most of my notes weren't synched. It seems that the notes on 'my computer' were the ones not synching, so I draged a few to iCloud and my gmail account to test. These individual notes went across to iPhone ok, but then all the remaining 400 or so notes on my laptop dissapeared. I had a back up on hard drive, but this was unfortunately also erased in an apple repair store for the same reason.
I have a backup on time machine, but starting a couple of days ago, I can't connect as it says my backup file 'is already in use' - this is a separate issue I know.
Also, I can sometimes reclaim individual notes via spotlight searches which show up as 'messages' from mail app, but this is less than reliiable.
Any way I can get my notes back please?
    Many thanks
    Mana

No, it will still stay as IOS 7.0.4

  • Lost pictures when syncing from camera and iPhoto crashed.

I was syncing my photos (around 900), and iPhoto crashed. They are no longer on my camera and not on iPhoto. Any way to recover it?

    maybe
you can try Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library database
you may be able to recover the phtos on the SD card using media recover
for the future a best practice to is to never have any computer program (including iPhoto) delete the photos from the card but to import the photos and keep them and then after at least one successful backup cycle has completed and then reformat the card --  I use three very large (32 GB) cards in rotation so I do not reformat for typically a year or more giving me one more long term backup of my photos

  • Lost Notes when upgraded

So Apple required an upgrade to the OS of my 4S iPhone to 6.1.2 for some odd reason. Did that and lost all my content (music, notes, everything). So I thought I woudl rely on the BACKUP. Nothing there exscept a reinstall of the OS but no content. By no content, I mean the following have been lost:
    1. NOTES
    2. MUSIC
    3. MESSAGES
    4. APPS
I was able to recover the contacts somehow. Reinstalledd the APPS, just fine and painfully redid the music.
Where are my notes? How can I retrieve them? Isn't this what a BACKUP is for?

In Notes, under View in the menu bar, click on Show Folders List. There might be a folder in which they are...

  • Why does Bookmarks take several seconds to respond after I move a bookmark when Sync enabled, but not when Sync is disabled?

With FFox open and Sync enabled, moving a bookmark, either in the Bookmark sidebar or in 'Show All Bookmarks' window, to another location - for example: dragging a bookmark from "Unsorted" to another location in Bookmarks - causes a delay during which time the Bookmark list seems to freeze and bookmarks can't be moved, selected, etc. The delay lasts for several seconds, and is longer on slower/older machines. If I attempt to move a bookmark (or folder) during the delay, it will move in unexpected ways once Bookmarks unfreezes as locations within the Bookmark list have changed.
With Sync disabled, bookmarks can be moved/selected/etc. without any delay.
Systems Tested: [Note: All systems had the most current version of FFox available for them.]
    MacBook Pro 26 (2014) w/OSX 10.9
    IBM ThinkPad T41x (2010) w/XPpro
    Macbook Pro 266 (2009) w/OSX 10.6
    IBM ThinkPad T61x (2008) w/XPpro
    Mac Mini (2008) w/OSX 10.6
    Mac Mini (2007) w/OSX 10.5
    Macbook Pro 233 (2007) w/Ubuntu v14
    ASUS P1AH (2006) w/Ubuntu 12
My main computer is the Macbook Pro 266, and I noticed this behavior: FFox v36 bookmark delay with Sync enabled is about the same as v35, v35 was worse (longer delay) than v34, v34 was better (less delay) than v33, v33 was better than v32, V32 was much worse than v31, v31 was much worse (Sync unusueable) than v30, v30 was much worse (Sync unusueable) than v29, v29 delay made Sync unusueable.

Currently 664 [exported from FFox Bookmarks to URL Manager for the count] abut never more than 4000: beyond 4000 bookmarks and FFoxs' Bookmarks respond slowly even without Sync active. I currently have 5 computer with FFox set up to use Sync. While I don't expect FFox to manage a huge collection of URLs, I would be nice to be able to access a Bookmark collection of 6000 to 8000 without noticeable delay. It's a simple text file after all, and as I'm only effecting one URL, why so long to update?
fyi: URL Manager tells me that I've amassed about 300,000 bookmarks, some from the late 90's which I still use for research.

  • Lost music when syncing

Can anyone tell me what happened when i synced my phone to my boyfriends computer to download a movie on Itunes and all my music in my IPOD app disappeared and got replaced by his music? Now I can't get my music back. Does anyone know how to get my music back?

Iphone will sync itunes content to one computer. If you sync to another, ti will erase the current content from iphone and replace with content from the new computer.
Your music should be on the computer with which you normally sync. Just sync it back to the iphone.

  • Lost Audiobooks when "syncing"

I downloaded an audiobook in iTunes that wouldn't transfer to my iPhone.  To try and solve the problem, I tried to "Sync Audiobook" under the "Devices", "Books" category.  Now, the new audiobook is on my iphone but all the other audiobooks have been deleted on both my iphone and itunes.  Is there any way to get them back?

ok, I've now found the missing Audiobooks with my Music. The problem now is that I have no way to choose which Audiobook...the only box selects all the Audiobooks. Has anyone else encountered this?
    Thanks...Bill
