Lost password of IPAD 2

I forgot the password of my ipad2 and after trying few times I got locked out. What do I do to fix the problem?

If you've forgotten the passcode and the iPad is now locked then you will need to connect the iPad to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808

  • Lost password on IPad one and I don't want to reset

    Hi everyone,
    I lost my old IPad password 4 digit. I don't want to reset/restore, as I have tons of photos on it. Is there a way to reset the password, can Apple do it?
    Thanks,
    Jean

    The computer I used to synch on is long gone. That's the thing with theses IPads they're easy to store...
    Well the lesson is mine. I just have 9999 combination to try out every 30min,
    Thanks,
    Jean

  • Lost password on iPad

    My 10 year old can't remember his password on his iPad.  I turned off through my computer "Find my iPhone" device through the cloud.  I then tired to 'restore' and it told me to go to iCloud to turn off "find my phone" which I did...so that didn't work.
    Any thoughts?

    Option 1
    Force iPad into Recovery Mode. Follow step 1 to 6 very closely.

    Note: You may have to repeat the above a few times.

  • Lost password on ipad 3

    I've lost my passeword to inter in my ipad... what can I do to recuperate the access to it without losing my pictures, songs, etc? Thank you very much... I hope to hear from you very fast! Have a nice day

    The only way to access the iPad is by remembering the passcode. If you can't remember it then you will need to reset the iPad, but if you have a backup you should then be able to restore that back onto the iPad. You may need to put the iPad into recovery mode in order to be able to reset it : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
    If you do it via a computer that it's not synced to then (from here) :
    If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.

    That refers to the 3 digit security code on the back of your credt card, not a security code for the iPad.

    You may have to do this several times.
    Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
     Cheers, Tom
    If both devices had Photo Stream turned on (and if it was turned on in the iPhone before the photos were taken) they should be in Photo Stream and should go to the iPad. More information at: iCloud: My Photo Stream FAQ
    Hello, for some reason i'Ve lost the ability to access my ipad, although i know the password, the ipad now is deactivated and telling me to connect to iTunes, i've done so but itunes can not access it anyway.
    Please tell me what should be done to retrieve my photos on ipad before reformatting it.
    Unless you've done anything to change it, Google keeps every email that ever passes through their server in your All Mail folder/mailbox/label. Even if you delete stuff, they hold onto it, there. You have to go out of your way to actually delete anything permanently.
    I lost password id apple and lost recovery key,how to reset my password
    Do you have another trusted device for two-step verification?
    See:  Frequently asked questions about two-step verification for Apple ID
    What if I lose my Recovery Key?
    If you lose your Recovery Key, you can replace it any time:
    Go to My Apple ID.
    Select Manage your Apple ID and sign in with your password and trusted device.
    Select Password and Security.
    Under Recovery Key, select Replace Lost Key.
    When you create a new key, your old Recovery Key is no longer usable.
    and
    What if I forget my Apple ID password?
    You can reset it at My Apple ID using your Recovery Key and one of your trusted devices.
    Apple Support can't reset your password for you. To reset your password, you must have your Recovery Key and access to at least one of your trusted devices.
    if you have neither your AppleID password, nor your Recovery Key, nor a trusted device, not even Apple can help you to get access to your account.
