How can I find and open/print encoded pdf-E-mails
which somehow have been lost

Can you check the following registry entry?
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\PDFMOutlook.PDFMOutlook"
Look for "LoadBehavior" value. It should be 3. At times Outlook attempts to disable an addin and sets this value to 2.
The behavior that you described can also be attributed to the fact that PDFMaker toolbar and menu appear only in single instance of Outlook. If you've multiple instances running, only the first instance will have PDFMaker addin loaded.
Whenever you find PDFMaker missing, can you try the following --
1. quit all Outlook instances.
2. launch Outlook.

If you don't know your password, don't know your security questions and don't have a rescue address or don't receive a reset email, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.

Please excuse me if you have already received this query. I have lost an email which I clicked on quickly to see what it was about and intended coming back to read it later. It disappeared from my inbox and a caption related to the email appeared at the bottom of my subsequent emails. I have been unable to find the original email. So what that means is when you have Do Not Disturb turned on, you may have an alert depending on the setting and how you are using your iPhone. So if it is set to Always, then that means that no matter what, your iPhone will not be notified. If it set to Only while the iPhone is locked, then that means that you will not get notification when your iPhone is locked but you will get notifications if your iPhone is being used. Also keep in mind the settings All Calls From can be set to certain contacts like Favorites, Everyone or no one. If you are using Do Not Disturb and you do not need it, then turn it off.

How do I retrieve "lost" sent emails?

Whilst attempting to rectify problems with my wife's mail program in Tiger 10.4.11, on her PowerBook 6.8 12" G4 laptop, I reduced the time from "Never" to "One Week" before sent emails are erased, believing that this would reduce the storage required on the ISP's server.
Instead I find that all old outgoing emails older than one week, are no longer available on her 12" G4 laptop, and my life has become ****.
How do I get Mail to display the "lost" outgoing emails?
The last backup of this machine was about two months ago, so I need to find and restore/import at least the past couple of months of outgoing emails, which have been erased.
Advice please.

Unfortunately, it sounds like the missing messages have actually been erased. You might want to download the free trial of this software to see if anything is recoverable. I don't have any personal experience with it.

That does sound frustrating! It sounds as though the filename associations have become confused on your computer. You should be able to reset that easily. Here are some instructions:

I lost all email 6 months and older in mac mail. In my in-box as a well as all other folders I created. I expected that the mac email software would keep all email as it did for me in when I used to use Outlook. As well I thought I was covered with the Time Machine I have installed. Well.....The Time Machine that I was aggressively encouraged to buy apparently doesn't back up email. If it does, I must need some secret decoder ring to unlock where it is. I need serious help. I lost months of professional and personal data. I need to fix this immediately and find some way to get my email back. Please help.

In March when I upgraded to Lion and iCloud I also experienced a similar problem (cluster of problems) which was solved by a password reset (conforming to new requirements) for my Apple ID. I'm glad to see that many nice people contributed and your primary problem is fixed. My comment is on your Quicken problem.
Your data inside Quicken 2004 is on borrowed time. In the process of researching personal budgeting apps I found many reports on the web that indicate Intuit as a company is scaling down Quicken (desktop) development and its future attention to the Mac platform will be minimal.
Did you know that Intuit is behind Mint.com? You may be hesitant to put your financial data "in the cloud" and I may be being sheepish, but.. bbaaaa, bbaaaaa, the cloud is where it's going. I know first-hand want a pain in the arse it is to customize an app to your liking. I spent several hours on Mint.com setting up categories and tagging transactions. It's tedious. I didn't look because I wasn't a Quicken user, but perhaps Intuit was nice enough to provide a data conversion path for Mint.com. It is worth a look.
My second suggestion is to scour the web for a hack solution. You can't be the only person who is facing this problem. Quicken was very popular. I just bet someone has posted directions or some code for exporting the Quicken 2004 data and manipulating it for something else.

Error in SAPscript pdf email attachment

I have implemented the functionality in ABAP where I can send SAPscript output to user via pdf-email in its inbox.The functionality is working fine in Dev n Test system with no issues.As the form is moved into Prod system, the user is complaining that after opening the mail of pdf, a mail is sent to unknown, unexisting email id indicating that user opened the mail.As the email id is unexisting, the user receives back the mail of Delivery failure.
Please help in this.Rest is working fine.

I have a 20 page newsletter that I'm sending out through an eblast. I have several paragraphs in the eblast summarizing exciting points in the newsletter. What I'm trying to do is where it says "read more on page 14" in the eblast, have a link that takes the viewer directly to page 20 instead of just opening the generic PDF. I'm also trying to make it so in the PDF version where it says "story continued on page 4" the reader can click that and it will take them to page 4 instead of having to scroll through the newsletter manually. Our newsletters are hosted on our website so we usually link to the website like: www.website.org/newsletters/fall2009 and the newsletter opens from there.
Does anyone know how to make this happen? I've never done it before and haven't worked with this type of PDF/email marketing so I'm at a loss. If you have any suggestions please send links to detailed instructions and be detailed so I can figure it out!

The problem is a file association.
If you are using Verizon's webmail then you need to fix the file association in your web browser.
If you are using an email client (Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.) you need to fix the file association in your computer (varies as to how based on OS and client).
