Lost photo album on ipod

so a while ago, i had a whole photo album from my birthday party on my ipod, one night, i put on to charge on my computer, and when i looked the next morning, the whole album was gone... no trace of it on itunes, on my ipod, just nothing... i was hoping someone might be able to help me get this lost photo album back... btw i think this was around last year not too long after i first got my ipod...

The photos came from your computer in the first place.  They should still be there.

  • I have many of those lost photos on my iPod.  How can I import those to my MacBook Pro without the iTunes synchronization kicking in and removing them?

I lost rather a lot of photos on a corrupted external storage device.  I have many of those photos on my iPod.  How can I import those
photos into my MacBook Pro without the iTunes synchronization function kicking in and effectively deleting those photos I want to
import from that iPod?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as those photos now only reside on that iPod...

The photos you synced to your iPod through iTunes are no longer in their full resolution, but instead are scaled down thumbnails of those photos.  So if you do manage to get them off your iPod, they will be quite small in size compared to the original ones you lost.
In order to get them off of your iPod, you'll need the help of some sort of 3rd party software. Here is one option.

Anyone know how to delete a photo album like my photo stream? Have an iPod touch 4th generation.

To delete photo stream go to
    https://www.icloud.com
Click on your Apple ID (top right)
    Click Reset photo stream button.
Once done in iPod Touch's Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream switch it off
(You can switch it back on if you still want to use the photo stream service)

  • Lost photo album

I lost a photo album when I did a system restore. any thoughts if its recoverable? I had done a back up to my computer and my photos and my other album came back, just not this particular album.

If the photos were synced to your phone from your computer or photo stream they wouldn't be included in the backup.  The backup only includes camera roll photos.  If these were not in the camera roll you would need a different backup source to recover them.

  • Lost photo album on iWeb

On my .Mac homepage I have two photo albums. The first, at http://homepage.mac.com/jnelms/PhotoAlbum2.html, I can locate and edit. The other, at http//web.mac.com/jnelms/iWeb/Site/HAG.html, I cannot locate, nor edit. If you have any suggestion where it is hiding, I would appreciate hearing from you.
MacBook   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   2 Mghz Intel, 2 GB RAM, 120GB HD

Thank you for the information, James. I did find the files in the location you mentioned; however, there does not appear to be any way to edit the captions under the pictures, as I need to do. There are two files for each picture, one labeled (for example) "DSCN0064.jpg" and another "DSCN0064_framed.png." The only place captions are shown is in the file "slideshow.html," which does show the entire slideshow, but does not permit editing. Any suggestions?

  • Lost photo albums

After upgrading to a 5s last year I used the back up restore to sync all my previous data from my 4s. On looking through my iPhone I notice several photo albums missing thinking that they were saved on my iTunes on the computer. As I now want to upgrade to the iphone 6 128gb so that I'll have enough storage for all my data I looked for these missing albums on my computer but they are not on there   is there anyway I can get these photos back from a previous back up?

Were they not synched to your computer as recommended?  Just synch them back.

  • Sync'd and lost photo albums - help!

I sync'd my iPad Air with my PC before leaving home and added several Albums to my Photos.  I do not have the photos in these albums on my Laptop.  I took some photos on my camera, created a folder on my laptop and copied these new pics into it.  I then sync'd my iPad using my laptop and iTunes with the intent of copying the new folder of pics to the iPad (I selected just that folder in the iTunes sync for Photos).  The sync did copy this folder to my iPad as a new album, but it also deleted all of the albums I put on the iPad from my home PC.  How can I get them back?  I do not have an iCloud backup....

That is the danger of syncing with two different computers given the way that iTunes syncs photos.
When you sync with photo folders specified in iTunes it places just those folders on the iPad and deletes any other synced folders. You must always specify all the folders in iTunes, even the ones that are already there.
You can restore the lost folders from your PC when you return home. Note that you will lose the folder from your laptop when you do this if you don't copy that folder from your laptop to your PC first.

  • How do i retrieve deleted or lost photos from my ipod?

You should be importing pics to your computer regularly as you woudl with any digital camera.
Everything should be on your computer.
If you failed to do this, then they are likely gone.
You can try restoring from backup

  • How to delete photos albums on ipod copied from my computer?

I copied my photos from my computer to my ipod touch but now need to delete them.  I know how to delete the photos that I took with my ipod camera but can't delete the ones I copied to my ipod.
I've gone into iTunes and seleced the photo option but it only lets me check on select sync photo options.  How do I delete the photo's?
    So annoying!

I tried that but it still didn't remove them from my ipod touch.  They are deleted from my main computer.  The ipod did it's sync then I selected the photo tab, then it ask me to syn photo from pictures.  I clicked on the folder option and deleted the pictures put they are still on my ipod.
On the bottom it has 2 options: revert and apply.  What does revert mean?

  • IWeb 09 major bug - losing site - believe it's photo albums and photo pages

I have repeatedly lost my site now 3 times since upgrading.
The problem appears to be when editing photo album pages with a few photo albums on them and then rearranging those albums and pages between sites.
I can't be more specific at this stage, as it's happening relatively randomly, but am curious if others have discovered similar problems.
FWIW I am recovering by using time machine and backups.

I too had major problems with iWeb '09. I was unable even to publish to a local folder without getting an error message "Unknown error" (really, really helpful). I published a site created and maintained by iWeb '08 four times to separate local folders within an hour, not changing the site at all during that period. Only about 90% of the contents were published. Typically what was missing was some photo albums and blogs, although not always the same photo albums.
After some careful poking about in my MobileMe-published site I noticed that some particular pages were not publishing to a local folder. Upon investigation I discovered that some of the photo albums, whilst appearing in the sidebar in iWeb '09, did not appear on the main albums page. It seems that, for whatever reason, iWeb '09 had lost the links to these. I deleted the pages from the sidebar and then turned my attention to Blogs. This was the other area where I noticed that publishing seemed to have a problem.
One of the problems seemed to be that there was a link to a, by now, 'lost' photo album. Editing the link and then re-publishing to a local folder at last cured the problem. I have yet to publish to MobileMe, but at last things are looking good in the 'test' phase.
It seems that, unless your iWeb '08-created site was relatively simple, some editing HAS to be done in iWeb '09 before publishing. I hope that this answers more questions than it poses!

  • IPhone resets playing music and viewing Photo Album

My iPhone has started reseting to the main menu and the applications (photo album and iPod) at random when both are active. I hava also had several resets, I call them that because I don't know what the system is doing but the application simply quits and the phone goes back to the top menu. I have heard there is a problem with the latest version of the system so is there anything I can do to stablize the situation? The phone is working as it should be but the applications are not predictable.
Thanks for your responses in advanced.

The behavior you're describing where the application quits and you are taken back to the home screen is called "crashing".
The first thing you can try is resetting your iPhone. Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down until the Apple logo shows on the screen (about 6-8 seconds), then release the buttons.
If that does not help, you should restore your iPhone. Connect your phone to iTunes, let it sync, and then click restore. After your iPhone software is reloaded, you will be able to restore all your data from your last sync. You will have to re-enter some passwords, such as your voicemail password, wi-fi network passwords, and email account passwords.
If you continue to get crashes despite these measures, I recommend getting your iPhone serviced either by taking it to the Apple store or by calling 1-800-MY-iPHONE.
