Lost Photo Booth pictures

Hi friends,
We got a new iMac with Photobooth. The kids made hilarious movies the first day. The next day (after we restarted the machine or mounted migration assistant a second time - I'm not sure), all of the Photo Booth entries were gone. Is there any way to retrieve lost PB pictures?
Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,
Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Have you looked in the following location:? Macintosh HD/Users/yourusernam/Pictures/Photo Booth Folder.
If it is not there, I believe that it may be gone...

  • Can't locate Photo Booth picture on MacBook Air

I used Photo Booth to take a picture of myself when I first bought my MacBook Air.
Somehow--I don't remember doing this (but I may have), the photo then became part of my login screen whenever it appears.
I now want to remove that photo, but I can't seem to find it anywhere on my computer.  Help?

I have the same issue. Was working fine until Saturday when Rogers reset my modem because we lost our internet connection. Our modem is direct connected to our PC and we connec with the Macbook through wifi.
When the modem rebooted we got an IP error and they had to do a renew and release. Since then - no wifi on macbook.
every time we try to join our home network it gives a password wrong error. The password is not wrong. Airport is a solid yellow light. Ethernet is red.
I am not great with macs and I have scoured the net and I cannot figure this out

  • Photo booth pictures not Showing in Photo Booth

When i open photo booth, none of my last pictures i have taken show up in the bottom of photo booth, is there anyway i can get them to show up?

Just a thought, but you could've inadvertantly clicked on the little x at the bottom left of the pic. Not to fear though, they are in your photo booth directory.

  • Photo Booth picture appearing in Email

    Hi there
We bought a new IMac. My wife was playing around with it and somehow imported a picture from the Photo booth into my email. Now...every email I send or receive has this picture in it. How would I go about removing it? Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Go to address book in applications
    Find yourself (me)
From here, you can change the pic (click on edit at the bottom of the contact)

  • Photo Booth Pictures File Location?

Upgraded to Mavericks and I can't find any of the picture files from Photo Booth. Previously they were in User/Pictures/PhotoBooth
But now that folder is empty.
If I open up "Photo Booth Library" I can see the pictures within photobooth. But not the file location. Also, some of my photos

If you'd like to be able to access the photos in any way other than just in FINDER, ie: to upload them on webforms, and other apps, then you can do this
    open Terminal
    type:
    cd Pictures
    ln -s Photo\ Booth\ Library/Pictures/ PhotoBoothPics
this will create a folder called PhotoBoothPics  that is a link to the photobooth library, and is accessible to attach to email, etc, and will always have all your pics

  • Photo Booth picture is in all sent e-mails

My nephew somehow added his goofy picture in the from header on all my emails that I send. Can anyone tell me how to delet it. I have deleteed all saved pictures in Photo Booth.
    Thanks,

    Welcome to the discussions, wtragnitz.
Open Address Book and use menu Card/Go to my card. You will probably find the offending image there, and can replace it with one more to your liking.
I think you will find that the picture has not actually been sent. When you say "the from header on all my emails that I send" do you mean that when you look in your sent mailbox and select a message, the displayed mail in the viewing pane shows the picture at the right hand end of the headers? If so, it is just a local display and your message recipients don't see it.
This feature is used when you receive a mail; if the sender is in your address book, and you have added a picture, the picture is displayed when you look at the message.

  • Lost photo booth library

    hello everybody
i had a little problem when going from tiger to leopard...
i made all my back-ups, but here is what happened with photo booth:
the files are on the right folder, all my 160 photos, but photo booth won't recognize them!
i tried to find something related to this, but found nothing
    hope you can help me!
    thanks a lot

-When the iLife install has completed select software update before importing.
-When iPhoto asks if you want it to open when a camera is detected select "decide later"
-Use iPhoto's import to library function from the file menu to add the folder, do not drop any pictures directly into iPhoto.
-Hold the command key when you click the folder for import.

  • Can't take photo booth picture

On my iMac using OS 10.7.4 I'm not able to take a PHOTO BOOTH photo. The image does show on the monitor, but making the single shot selection and clicking the camera does not take a photo. Do have a a camera problem or have not invoked the proper settings?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions, Hrair
The suggestions in http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93240 may help you.
If not, try downloading and reapplying the 10.5.1 Update. Repair permissions before and after running the Updater.
If you are still having problems, have you considered the "Important: Read before installing" section of About the Mac OS X 10.5.1 Update and ruled out the possible problems mentioned there?

  • I lost photo booth

i went to go use photo booth today on mac book pro and it wouldn't open the app. had a question mark on it. so i dragged it out if the task/menu bar on the side of my computer and when i let it go it disappeared. where did it go? can someone please help me?!

Look in your Applications folder for it. If it isn't there, then you've deleted it. You can recover it from your installer discs:
How to Use Pacifist to Replace Deleted or Missing OS X Components
Insert the OS X Installer DVD into the optical drive. Use a simple utility like TinkerTool to toggle invisibility so you can see invisible items. Alternatively, open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder and at the prompt enter the following:
    defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles Yes
    Press RETURN.
To turn off the display of invisible files repeat the above command substituting No for Yes.
The install packages are located in the /System/Installation/ folder on the DVD.
Download the shareware utility Pacifist from VersionTracker or MacUpdate. Use it to extract a fresh copy of the missing item(s) from the file archives on your OS X installation DVD. The file archives are in the /System/Installations/ folder (use Go to Folder option in the Go menu of the Finder.)
Here are Four Basic ways to use Pacifist (courtesy of George Orville.)
    A. Drag a .pkg icon onto the Pacifist window .....proceed to step 7.
    B. Click on “Open Package ....” and navigate to package desired and click “Open” in the open/save window.....proceed to step 7.
    C. Insert Mac OS X installer CD and when it mounts, navigate to .... Menu->Go->Go to Folder.

    • Drag a .pkg to Pacifist..... proceed to step 7.
The package you'll need will have to be discovered by trial and error, but for most applications you should start with the Essentials.pkg and/or Additional Essentials.pkg.
    D. Insert your Mac OS X install disk 1 .... and open Pacifist.
    1. In Pacifist, select "Open Mac OS X Install Packages" ... dialog may appear asking for disk 2, then disk 3 and finally disk 1 again.... {if DVD is not used)...If “Stop Loading” is selected...the procedure will stop!!!
2a. When loading is complete, a new window appears, click the triangle to display contents of each package...Select item and proceed to step 7.
2b. or click the “Find” icon in the Pacifist window and type the name of the software you need.
    3. In the list that comes back, click the top most entry for the item that you want. ..... that is the one for the English language.
    4. On the top of the Pacifist window, click “verify” .... you will probably be prompted for your password.
    5. Enter checks for.... “verify permissions” and “verify file contents.” and click “verify” ....enter password when prompted.... you will get back output which may look like this:
    20 files were scanned.
20 of 20 files were present on the hard disk.
0 of 20 files had file permissions that did not match those specified in the package.
0 of 20 files had checksums that did not match those specified in the package.
    6. Click “close”. Go to step 7.
    Extract or Install........
    7. In the Toolbar (upper left), you now have the option to extract or install. Click a file in the lower list and those two icons will be enabled.
    8. If “Extract to...” is selected.... navigate to the location where the file will be placed, select “choose”, select “extract” in new dialog that appears, authenicate , if prompted, click “OK”.
    9. In the next dialog, click “Extract”.
    10. If “Install” is selected... dialog will appear with the location/path of the installed software. Click “Install”
    11. Type in your password, click “OK”
    • Pacifist will begin to extract files.
    12. In steps 8/10ß.... you also have the choice to “cancel”
    Notes.....
    • Pacifist may find that a file it is installing already exists on the hard disk. Pacifist will present you with an alert panel....
    Stop
    Leave original alone
    Update ..... Default selection
Replace .... Replace option should only be used on full install packages

  • Lost Photo or Picture Folder from my Home folders

Hi: I recently upgraded to Mac OS 10.5.2 and after re-booting. I went to open up iPhoto and all of my albums with the photo were gone. I see within the 'Search for" All images folder the photos in them. But the iPhoto album file is lost. How can i restore them?
    Thanks.

Can you see any pics in the iPhoto Window?
If not: Try these in order - from best option on down...
    1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
    2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums back.
    3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.
    Regards
    TD

  • Photo Booth pictures dark

Just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Maverick.  When taking picture in photobooth.  Pictures come out dark as if the screen flash is not syncing with picture.
I have tossed out the preferences and plist and still the same result.

Look while in PhotoBooth to the menu at the top. Under the Edit menu you should see "Auto Flip New Photos." Make sure it isn't checked.
