I have lost all text messages, photos, notes and calendar dates. Also some of the apps.
I think it was my second time of syncing. Also I tunes keeps opening when no apple prod is connected, and a dialogue box tells me it cannot find the I phone. When it is not connected?..

I just synced my iphone 3gs after downloading the safari update. Now I can't open any apps except the ones that came with the phone. I have tried rebooting, turning it off and on.
When I select the icon, it goes to the page then returns to my screensaver.
It was working well before the update and sync with my Acer netbook. Have never had any problems with itunes store or downloads.this happened to me with my iPhone 4. I researched the problem and found this :
"The reason this happens is because every time a downloaded app is opened it checks for your itunes password for validation that you are authorized to open that app (as it may contain personal info). From time to time the iphone 'forgets' your itunes password. You can fix the missing password by syncing the iphone with itunes or downloading an app from the app store and entering your password that way.”
And to fix it, all I did was download a new app, or delete a current one, I used Facebook, and re-download it.

No one here knows when the next iOS update will be released or what changes it will include until Apple releases it.
iOS 6.1.2 does not disable Wi-Fi, the vast majority of issues with iPhones that appear after an iOS update can be resolved with basic troubleshooting which is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).
If that does not resolve, then the issue is hardware related and no amount of iOS updates or restores will ever get it functional again. -

Hi Ingo2711, Thanks a million for your reply. That's probably what it is. Now next thing, my iphone will not switch on at all. No water damage or physical damage. I brought to an irepair place and he was first able to see the photos on my phone somehow but when I brought it back to get fixed he couldn't. I have been told by a few people that it may just be the charge port or battery or unfortunately the logic/motherboard. What is my best bet? I'm not able to afford to get it officially fixed if it can be. Any recommendations? By the way, thanks a million.

Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network. -
Recover Pics on iPhone 5S after syncing?
I synced my new iPhone 5s after taking some pics on it today, and it restored everything from my OLD iPhone (including the old pictures :(.) The new pics are gone. Am I out of luck, or is there some way to get them back? Thanks!
The pictures I need to recover are not from my camera roll, they were downloaded. I have already ran a restore from icloud and they did not show up, that's why I don't understand why they show up using wondershare dr.fone. When I run the free trial of that program and select recover from icloud it has me login in using my Apple ID and password, then all my pictures are there but I cant recover them unless I buy the full program. Doesn't seem right that another company can recover my pictures from apples own server but apple cannot.

It sounds like you are not able to connect to the 4G network after turning off Airplane Mode. I recommend the following steps when you are unable to join 3G/4G/LTE network on your iPhone:
Follow the instructions below for assistance with troubleshooting cellular data issues on your iPhone. After performing each step, please test to see if the issue is resolved.
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings, turn airplane mode on, wait three seconds, and then turn off again.
Restart your iPhone.
Ensure that your software is up to date:
Check for a Carrier Settings Update. Tap Settings > General > About.
Check for an iOS Software Update. Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
Note: Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
Remove the SIM Card and reinsert it. Allow the iPhone to acquire the network again.
If your SIM card has SIM PIN enabled, try toggling it off: Tap Settings > Phone > SIM PIN.

Finishing synch on iphone 4 After downloading iOS 7.0.3 - Is it impossible?
After downloading iOS 7.0.3 when I try to sych my iphone 4 it does everything up to 'finishing synch' which takes forever and I had to shut down ofter leaving for 4 hours. I tried again, did an upgrade and sync bbut two hours in it's still finishing.
