Lost pictures on adobe reader

I, somehow, picked the option to "remove" pictures when i download pdf from my computer to adobe reader
now all i get is a gray area where the pictures where. pleasehelp me

What is your operating system & version?
What is your Reader version?
There is no such option in Adobe Reader to "remove pictures"; how exactly did you do that?
I also do not understand "download pdf from my computer to adobe reader"; can you explain?

I am so lost with my adobe reader, I cannot open up anything that redquires adobe.

I had to delete flash player i could not even open that, I hope that did not do any harm to my laptop. I did not even have that running, when i went to go set it up to run, there was an error and then it would bring me to the website. I do not how I can be more specific with what I am doing the the website, you tell me, like i said i am .....

I have a picture on adobe reader x1. I tied to put names under it onoy had enough room if I used font 6. I tried to email it but it onoy went to my windows live email whicj I never use. I want to email it thru my outlook.

I have a picture on Adobe Reader X1. I tried to put the names of those in the pic below it. With 5 rows the only way I could do it is using font 6 because the room they gave me was limited. I then tried to email it and it went to my Windows Live Mail which didn't send. I'd like to email it using my Outlook. Any ideas?

You need to configure your email Preferences in Adobe Reader.
Otherwise send that PDF manually as an attachment to an Outlook message.

Lost information using Adobe Reader App

I usually highlight text from a document or write comments using Adobe Reader App for iPad. But when it synchronizes with the Acrobat Website, my information gets lost... What's happening?

Logos & Pictures in Adobe Reader

HELP!! When I save a document from Word or Publisher 2007, the logos appear with a black or white (depending on the colour of the background in the document) box (the dimensions of the logo picture file) around them, when before the logo had no background colour at all. Also if there is a shadow around a picture, it will make the shadow completely coloured instead of fading into nothing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything to do with Adobe and it is still doing the same thing. Also what seems to be happening is that the PDF file is a lot larger then it should be. When a large document is saved normally it become a lot less in MB but now it seems to save a lot large in MB.
It isn't the Word or Publisher document as I can open the same doc on another computer and save as a PDF and it works perfectly. Is there some sort of setting that has been set up that I'm not aware of? I am running version 9.3.3.

Good that you provided the screenshot.
Notice that at the very top, Reader is saying that your are viewing this document in PDF/A mode. PDF/A is an archival standard that does not allow for transparency in the document and the logos and pictures in the source document have transparency.
The PDF creation application (looks like you are using the native Save As PDF in Word 2007) needs to deal with this situation (where the document has transparency and PDF/A does not allow it).
You have two options:
a) Turn off the PDF/A option in your creating application (click on the Options button when you do a Save As PDF and turn off ISO 19005-1 compliant option.
b) If you do need to create PDF/A documents, try Adobe PDF Creation tools with Acrobat 9. They do a much better job at degrading transparency in such cases.

Lost pictures in Adobe Photoshop Starter 3.0

I have not used my Adobe Photoshop Starter 3.0 in years. H doqwn loaded pictures from my didital camera, and they downloaded to Adobe. I try to open Adobe on my desktop, and a cover registeration form popped up.So I registered, and was sent an email saying that it had been dixcontinued. And that I could get them by em\ntering Photoshop.com I did, and Got a ID, and passwort to enter. when I entered, There were not pictures there???? How do I get my pictures back??? I am using my PC with Windows 2000 Professionsl!!

The path for windows xp should get you somewhere in right area: (the My Computer shortcut on your desktop)
C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\My Documents\My Pictures\Adobe\Digital Camera Photos
Or look in the My Documents folder on your desktop if you never removed the shortcut.

Missing Adobe Reader and QuickOffice (Nokia 700)

I recently had to do a "full factory reset" on my Nokia 700 but since then I seem to have lost both the
Adobe Reader and QuickOffice. Both were working before the reset and I did a full Nokia Suite backup
and restore after the reset.
In an attempt to restore the two missing functions I've re-installed the software and searched the store,
all to no avail.
Any suggestions about how to get them back?

I have used Adobe Acrobat XI Pro to generate the form file. OK
When the user are to use this file I would like them to attached to file a Picture, in Adobe Reader XI.
But this does not work you can only attached a pdf.

Lost "Edit Options" button used when downloading an update (ex Adobe reader) that allows you to click allow in order to receive the update. Can someone tell me how to get it back? Please?

I t will tell you to look for a yellow bar at the top usually under the tool bar and it will ask you to "Edit Options" when you do, it will ask you if you allow the download/update or not.
My problem is, I am not getting this yellow bar anymore that gives me the "Edit Options" button so therefore, I do not think I am getting any updates!

You didn't lose that button. It is Adobe that is lost and haven't update their instructions for a long time :wink:
The instructions on the Adobe site are outdated and do no longer apply to current Firefox versions and you can ignore those instructions and save the Adobe installer to your desktop and start the installation with a double-click on that file.<br />

Lost my windows internet and I can't download Adobe Reader

Hi .Acouple of days ago my computer was kinda draggin so I went to control panel and ran a recovery hoping that it help it.In the process of the recovery I lost my windows internet explorer and right now I'mrunning in the avg.Long story short I 'm working on this project for myself and in order to get to the good part I need to download Adobe Reader plugin ,the installing process goes through but at the end this comes up"install_reader11_en_mssa_aaa_aih(1)_2exe-ordinal not found" And this one pops out too"THE ORDINAL139 COULD NOT BE LOCATED IN THE DYNAMIC LINK LIBRAY" What do I have to do to get my windows internet explorer back and to download Adobe Reader???? Explorer is a Microsoft, not an Adobe product. You can download it from

For installing Reader, you may try downloading its full installer from
http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.

Adobe Reader X update - printer connection lost

After I updated to Adobe Reader X the other day I lost my printer connection online. Offline printing is fine. The printer does not appear in the print window as before. I thought it was the site I was trying to print from (Barclays) - after lengthy discussions with them it appears the problem resulted from the Adobe update. Very annoying. How do I fix please?

How does one delete the installer cache files? I couldn't find them in 10.7.2 I IDID find Cache files in the Library, and deleted them all. Still broken.
My 10.1.1 installer from Adobe runs and immediatly stops about 40% of the way through, and then sits there. The last time I started the install before lunch, and after lunch the installer was in the exact same spot, but said it would take an hour and 45 min to install! I'm running OS 10.7.2 on a 2009 MBP.
Update:
OK, I put Adobe Reader 9.4.6 back in my Applications folder. I open it up, and do "check for updates". It says I am up to date, and that there are no new updates.
The 10.1.1 installer I downloaded DIRECTLY by going to Adobe.com and following the links for my Mac. I even deleted the installer once and then redownloaded it just to make sure I had a good copy. This is the screen I get when I run the installer. It gets to this point in about 30 seconds, always between the "r"and "i" in scripts, and the time remaining just keeps going up. HELP!

Updating from Reader to Acrobat should not have deleted anything from your device. This was just another update that changed the name and icon, and added some new features for Acrobat DC Pro subscribers. Everything else for our Reader users should have remained the same.
I have a couple of questions:
Were you logged in to Acrobat.com, and were your files stored on Acrobat.com? If so, you may need to ensure that you log in to Document Cloud (the new name for Acrobat.com) to see the files.
Did you delete Reader from your device before installing the new Acrobat app? If so, unfortunately when you delete an app iOS deletes all of the local storage that app uses. For iOS to keep your files around, you need to just let iOS Update, rather than our users deleting and installing fresh. If this is what happened, I'm sorry, but I don't know how to retrieve your files.
