Lost pictures, please help

I updated my iPad then went away to do something else, I came back to find that it failed, it asked me to restore so I did. I didnt realize that my photos were not backed up. Is there any way possible that I can get the pictures back?

they wouldn't be in your pictures folder or the recycle bin unless you had imported them to your computer, which you have to do in a popup that windows presents when you plug in your phone - something like 'what would you like to do with these photos?'
otherwise, the backup is an option. I'm wondering, did you have photostream turned on in icloud before you left for your trip? was it less than 30 days ago? if so, when you got home and your phone went into wifi, it would've pushed those pictures up into photostream, and when you turn on photostream on your phone, it would bring down the pictures from the last 30 days. but remember, this will only work if you had turned on the feature before you left

So a Spotlight search on your phone to search for Safari and click the App. Once you verify that it is still on there you'll just have to look for it.
If the App isn't listed, try a restart/reboot of the iPhone holding the home button and sleep/wake switch. If the App still doesn't show itself in the OS or via Spotlight, restore the phone via iTunes.

Omg:( kill me then. I store my photos in my laptop. But i reset my aunt's phone, and she doesnt have anything: no apple id, no icloud. Normally when i reset mine, my phone back up everything.

OMG, lots of lost pictures! HELP PLEASE!!!

So I went into my iphoto and when I looked at all the little thumbnails of pics, they were there. When I tried to use the slider on the bottom to enlarge the thumbs, they turned into the little exlamation marks. So I started to search Google on what to do and I did the opt+com buttons, and rebuild and stuff but it hasn't helped. I have sooo many missing photo's that I could never replace and I pray they are not gone. I have no idea what to do and really need some laymen help here because I don't have a clue how to work this thing. I didn't have anything backed up, I didn't think I needed to cause it's a mac. Some places I saw to move the library to the desktop but I have no idea how to even do that. I need a super descriptive step by step on what to do if I have a chance of getting all my pictures back.
I am so upset, please help me :((

Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
Well ignore that one - you don't have a backup, do you. I find it amusing that folks think they don't need a back up because they're using Mac. You can be very sure that Steve Jobs has a back up. If you use a computer you need a back up.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums back.
Try this.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop. That means go to your Pictures Folder and you'll see the iPhoto Library there. Drag it to the desktop.
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

Well, it use to not be blurry. Now its pretty clear, but the edges get blurry. It might be because of the edges. Here is the screenshot of the edges (ZOOMED IN!)

Updated iWeb 2.0.2: LOST Website - Please HELP

Hi Folks,
I just ran software update today and installed all the updates. Upon opening iWeb and accepting the new license agreement, I was greeted not by the website I have spent months building; but the Template select screen. My business website is no where to be found. This is very frustrating. I noticed one other person had the same problem. Hope this can be remedied. Definitely going to set me back a few weeks. This is the first time in 6 years I have had a problem with anything Apple...Please Help!

This is quite strange. I keep my websites in separate folders and launch iWeb from there. When I tried V2.0.2 I used one of these sites to launch it. I keep a file in the iWeb folder which is a sort of a dummy. This file was not effected nor erased by the update.
So many people have problems with these domain files. I wish iWeb had a popup telling people to back them up. I keep copies of them in my Home Folder and also on two external drives.
I use the application Super Duper to make incremental backups every week.
I once lost two months work when my hard drive failed. The bigger the disaster - the greater the lesson learned!

T5i takes random pictures, please help.

Does anybody have this problem? My T5i takes random pictures. I have a battery grip so not sure if that would cause any issues. Basically, I have my camera on, I take a picture and move camera back to my side and I hear shutter go off. I raise camera up to take a picture and shutter goes off - taking a picture. It happens sometimes not all the time. My battery grip is "OFF" so I know I'm not accidently clicking on the shutter. This is so annoying eerr!! Please help.

As another user had suggested, this may be an issue with third party hardware. We would want to check to see if the issue persists without the third party hardware attached. Also, try another lens on the camera if possible too. This will help us and others, troubleshoot this issue.

i went to the Apple store and one of the Apple folks was trying to get my smtp account to work through coxcable which it don't anyway i lost my darn gmail smtp settings. Please help

According to your other thread, I thought you were trying to delete data off the TC. What changed?
Anyways, data recovery software like Data Rescue II and FileSalvage won't work unless you crack open the TC, remove the drive, and install it into a different HD housing. Then you will be able to recover data with recovery software.

Ok, so I go to open my iMovie project and am greeted, horrifically, by this:
"A Project File is Missing
The file “_” couldn’t be opened and is being skipped. Click “Ignore All” to skip any remaining missing file messages."
All the editing progress in the project is gone, and all my clips (not in their edited form) have been moved to the trash. Now what I've noticed is that if I go into show package contents, and then go into cache, all my progress still exists as Timeline Movie.mov but it's all as one video file and I'm afraid to mess with it because it's absurdly small (a few hundred kilobytes). I think what caused this is that the external hard drive my project is saved on was removed, plugged back in, and then saved to. PLEASE HELP ME GET IT BACK TO HOW IT WAS, I'M BEGGING YOU, I've looked everywhere else and have found nothing of help.

First of all, I would restart your computer and see if the problem replicates.
If that fails, open up your Package Contents folder and you should see in there a file called (movie title).iMovieproj. Open that, and if your movie is intact save it under a different name and you are good to go. There is also another file titled (Movie title)~.iMovieproj. If the previous file that you opened does not contain an intact movie, try this one.
