Lost playlists in apple tv 4.4.2

After updating apple TV 2 to version 4.4.1 and 4.4.2 the ability to access my video playlists from my streaming iTunes mac on my apple TV directly was lost. There appears to be no setting that will fix this (previous versions allowed you to chose to share playlists) in iTunes or apple TV. They do remain available in the remote application on my iPhone, iPad, and iPod, but they are no longer available from the Apple TV / computer / movie / menu area were they once were. This feature is very important to my family and their ability to access content quickly from multiple apple TVs in different rooms etc. Any ideas?

Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps youshouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl - start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See MusicFolder Files Not Added and Super Remove Dead Tracks for tools to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

Yes. When I didn't see them in iCloud, I found my old notes in my EMAIL folders of all places!!! Check you emails (any emails that you may have used) and see if you can find a folder called NOTES. I couldn't believe my notes were scattered between three different e-mail accounts. If you go to SETTINGS, then Mail, contacts and calenders---check which email addresses are listed, and if any are turned ON, turn them off, then your notes won't be synced to your e-mails and will instead will go to ICloud if you have Icloud set up. Check it out, worked for me. Good luck!

No. Apple does not look for lost or stolen devices. Call your local police.

How can you create a playlist with music and music video and play those from same playlist through Apple TV?

How can you create a playlist on Ipod touch with music and music video, and play those from same playlist through Apple TV? I can download, create a playlist with both music and music video, stream that through the Apple TV with no problem. The sound and the information show up on the TV, but when it gets to a music video, it only shows the information and "artwork".
I also have a video playlist - videos play fine through the Apple TV, but will not shuffle through all videos - continues to repeat the same one. I have most definitely selected shuffle in both locations - from the playlist and on the ipod video screen while video is playing.

I finally got it... had to sync the photos with the music in iMovie, arrange the voiceover in GarageBand then export to iTunes, and then I was able to put it all together in iMovie and burn in iDVD... had a few glitches along the way but finally finished : )

Finally powered up my Apple TV (gift Xmas 2012 ) and have iTunes, from MacBook Pro playing though it and stereo... how do I shuffle play songs in my playlist on Apple TV?

If you mean how to take your existing media and turn it into a format that can be watched on ATV, the answer is to use Quicktime or some other program (there are many) and convert it to MPEG4, either the "simple" version or the H264 codec. These clips will then be able to stream or sync to any ATV connected to the network.
"Broadcast" in the sense of sending an over-the-air signal to those not connected to your network, is not something the ATV or iTunes can do. If you mean "Podcasting" (using the internet for others to connect to and see your work) that is a whole different ball of worms (or wax, depending on how you look at it) and doesn't have anything to do with ATV per se (which is to say you're better off asking it in another forum here).
