Lost power adapter HP Pavilion 23XI monitor

I recently moved, and I think I may have misplaced the AC adapter for my monitor. I tried searching online and I can't find the model number of the AC adapter, and there don't seem to be any replacement AC adapters for sale.
Can someone please help?
Thanks in advance

Hi randomguy123. If you want to try searching for the AC Adapter, you should try the part number "C3Z94AA" in: HP PartSurfer. It looks like the power cord is available or purchase (possibly), but not specifically the AC Adapter.
If you cannot find what you are looking for, you should contact support to see if they can find you the part you are looking for.  HP Technical Support, North America 1-800-474-6836. For all other regions click here.

  • Hp Pavilion 23xi monitor brightness in bottom right corner is darker then the rest of the screen

Since yesterday the brightness in the corner in the bottom right is much lower then the rest of the screen.
    How do I fix this?

    Hello @PieterVdw,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I understand that the bottom right corner of your HP Pavilion 23xi monitor is darker than the rest of the monitor and you are seeking assistance in fixing it. I am providing you with some steps you can try below:
Step 1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the monitor and the wall
Step 2. Hold the power button down for at least one minute
Step 3. Plug the power cord back into the monitor and then into the wall outlet (not a power bar or surge protector)
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the Factory Reset option and select it
If the above steps did not resolve your issue you can try the monitor on a computer or other device to see if the issue persists. If it does I think it would be best if you contact HP Technical Support for repair options.

  • External HP Pavilion 23xi monitor cuts off laptop audio

I want to use my HP Pavilion 23xi monitor as an external monitor for my laptop (Sony Vaio, Windows 7).  The laptop only has an HDMI connection, so I used an HDMI cable to connect it.  The HP monitor works fine, but when it is connected, it cuts off all audio output on the laptop.  There is no sound from the internal speaker on the laptop, or from the headphone connection.
If the HDMI connection automatically takes over the audio output, surely there should be at least a headphone socket on the PC?  I can't change the connection type, as the laptop only has HDMI for an external monitor.  Is there any configuration change that will fix this?

    Hi,
As you mentioned, the HDMI sound may take over sound, disable HDMI sound may help. Pleae try:
    Right click the speaker icon
    Select Playback devices
Right click HDMI sound and disable it

  • Pavilion 23xi monitor - problem with screen going blank

Hello there, Recently, the screen on my 23xi monitor started to go blank after some usage (the time varies).  When this happens, the power light on the right corner of the monitor remains lit, however the power button doesn't do anything when pressed.  I don't think it's my computer putting it to sleep, since I've already checked my power settings for that, as well as the ones on the monitor's OSD.  The only way I can get a video image back is by unplugging and replugging the power connector located on the back.  I've had the monitor for only a year and a half.  Any ideas? Thanks!

Is there any fix for this please as the exact same thing is happening to me. I've had the monitor 1 and a half years, and for the last week, on either VGA/HDMI/DVI, and connected to either my PC or games consoles the screen will effectively freeze after a given period of time (always after around 20 mins or 30 mins of use). The power light stays lit and can't be switched off, the only way is to unplug from the wall, which is very annoying. According to HP website the 1 year warantee expired in June 2014 so I am not sure what I can do to get this resolved, but a monitor should last more the a year and half, all my other monitors are 3-4 years old and still working.

  • Lost power adapter cover

does anyone know where to get a replacement cap/cover for the power adapter? i lost mine.
    powerbook g4 12-in.   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

not quite sure I understand, but...
your problem is probably one that all powerbook users experience. The power plug that connects to our laptops get frayed and stop working. Apple has addressed this problem with their new MagSafe magnetic adapters.
There isn't much you can do except purchase a new power plug. Apple will charge you close to 100$ for a new one. You should either look on eBay or go to Fry's electronics and buy a generic one. I purchased a white one from Logitech (I think) that only cost 40 dollars.
    Good luck!

  • Monitor hp pavilion 23xi and wall mount

Good morning everyone, I'm a possessor of an hp pavilion 23xi monitor and i was wondering if there's a way to mount it on a wall, surfing on the web I didn't find anything about my question, does anyone of you mounted the same monitor on a wall? If so, can you explain me how can i do it? Thank you and sorry about my bad english.

    Hello francesco90,
I understand that you are inquiring to see if you are able to mount the HP Pavilion 23xi 23-inch Diagonal IPS LED Backlit Monitor. Unfortunately, there is no mounting option available for this monitor.

  • Connecting HP Pavilion 23xi to a Macbook Pro late 2013

I have just bought a HP Pavilion 23xi monitor as an addition for my Macbook Pro 13in Retina Display late 2013 model. I am wondering and needing to know the best way to successfully connect them both together. Please note I am using the pre-release version of the OS X Yosemite, if that makes a difference which I hope it doesn't.

Yes, I see now. The model number did not register in the old mind correctly.  The  Pavilion 23xi uses D-Sub, DVI, HDMI for connections.  I would recommend the DVI, which means you need " a DVI output using Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter (sold separately)"  copied directly from the Mac webpage HERE

  • HP Pavilion 27xi US power adapter work in UK?

Hi, I'm looking to import  the HP Pavilion 27xi to the UK as HP don't seem to want to release it in Europe and I love the look of this montor so I must have it. My question is will the adapter that comes with the US model work in the UK with a UK power cable connected or do I need some kind of votage converter.
    cheers.

    raven77,
    These external power supplies used with laptops, monitors, HDTVs, AIO computers, etc. typically have an input voltage range of 100v - 240v alternating current. Just the be sure, I went and looked up the specs of the HP Pavilion 27xi 27-inch Diagonal IPS LED Backlit Monitor. This page didn't have the information I was looking for, so I enterd the HP p/n into the HP PartSurfer which indicated that the following HP products also use the same external power supply;
HP 2511x 25 inch Diagonal LCD Monitor
HP 2711x 27 inch Diagonal LCD Monitor
    HP MONITOR 25BW
HP PAVILION 25xi 25-IN IPS MTR US
HP PAVILION 27XI 27-IN IPS MNT US
HP Pavilion 27bw 27-in IPS MNT US
    I then looked up the specs for the HP 2711x 27 inch Diagonal LED Monitor which, according to the HP PartSurfer, uses the same power supply as the HP 27xi and found the following;
Power source - AC/DC adapter Input rating: 100 to 240V~
    Frequency: 50~60Hz
Power consumption: 40 Watts max power consumption (30 Watts typical power consumption) , <1 Watt energy saving mode
Based on this information the external power supply for the HP 27xi should accept 100 to 240v, 50 - 60Hz input and function as expected. You should only need a compatible power cable to connect the power supply to the mains.
    Please send KUDOs

  • Pavilion 23xi 23 monitor product number C3Z94AA - Pink color screen

This EXACT thing just happened to me.
Prior to calling HP support, I searched google and found several incidences of this problem.
I also did EXTENSIVE troubleshooting per instructions found on HP forums prior to calling.
And of course this monitor went out of warranty a couple of months ago - only a 1 year warranty???
I tried the using the motherboards graphics card (VGA) and also tried DVI, VGA & HDMI on the Nvidia Geoforce GTX670- all had the same issue with this monitor using different cables and connections.
I connected another monitor I have (Samsung) and it's displays great without problems.
Tried on both Windows 7/64bit & Windows 8 with all current drivers (checked to see if there were new ones)
This monitor Pavilion 23Xi even shows the discoloration and ghost icons when NO cable is connected to the computer and the monitor is just powered on??!!!
Even though I did all this troubleshooting and explained all of it to the tech rep when I first called she said that she could help me for a charge, but would refund it if she was unable to fix it.
I told her no, I did not want to pay a charge because I was pretty sure after a factory reset, another monitor that works ok, trying three different connection types DVI, HDMI & VGA, two different graphics cards and the monitor doing the same ghost icons/discoloration when it was not even connected to a computer - that is was the monitor.
She put me on hold and said that she got permission to troubleshoot without charging me.
We went thru all the steps I did again, powering off, trying different cables, connecting a different monitor etc and of course after all that she said it was the monitor and I would need to take it into Best Buy or some other store to see about getting it repaired.
I do not know the cost, but if its more than $50, I will probably just buy a different brand monitor that has a 3 year warranty, did not notice (slaps self) that these HP's only have a 1 year warranty when several other brands I bought previously all have 3 years... :-(
I should have went with a different brand to begin with based on my problems with HP inks, printers and prices from the past.
It just started doing this today, but is *very* annoying when you paid extra to get a higher quality image.
I just added an image of dropping to the command prompt, that shows that this HP monitor Pavilion 23xi shows ghost icons and images from previously visited pages if you look very closely.
It's really weird, like the monitor is retaining images in a buffer or memory but a reset, power off, holding down the on/off key for 20 seconds (which tech had me do) does not clear this.

Here is the official part number for the power adapter.
If you just need the power cord for the power adapter you should be able to find that at a second hand electronics shop. It is a Power cord (Black) - 3-wire conductor, 18 AWG, 1.8m (6.0ft) long - Has straight (F) C5 receptacle (for 120V in North America). I have always thought of it as an almost proprietary HP power plug. Even old HP printers have them.
The following image is what a C5 connector looks like. The end that plugs into the house current receptacle varies by country.

  • Lost the power adapter.

    Hi,
I've lost my power adapter(ultracompact) that came with iphone 3G. However I have an old apple USB power adapter that I used for charging my ipods. When I checked the online apple store I saw that there are two different power adapters. The bigger one, which I use for charging the ipods, is not said to be compatible with iphone 3G although it is for 1st generation iphone 1st generation. Is it still possible to use the older adapter or do I have to pay for new one? Thanks.

You can still use the charger if it is USB. If you find the other one though, Apple is starting the ultracompact USB exchange program on Friday. If you have an old one that came with an iphone 3g, you can bring it in with your iphone and they will exchange it for free. They are doing this because some of the metal tongs have gotten stuck in electrecal outlets.
