Lost product serial number
The other day I discovered that I had lost/mislaid the product serial number from my iWork '09 Family Pack box. Everything else is there, but I can't load the software without this number (can I?). Is there any way I can retrieve the number from the iMac on which I have already loaded this software, so I can use it on another?

If you bought the family pack electronically/online, you can get the serial number from the list of online purchases in your Apple Store account. Go to the Store tab at the top of this page, click Account (small, faint gray word next to the cart icon in the upper right), click on Downloadable Software Purchases & sign in.
If you bought the retail box, there is no serial number included. Something has changed with the retail DVDs recently that no longer allows the installation of the DVD over an existing trial. You will need to delete the trial then install from the DVD. You can use a application deleting program such as AppZapper or removed the files manually. Start with deleting the iWork '09 folder in Applications, then do a Spotlight search for any file with iWork, Keynote, Pages & Numbers in the name & trash them (keep any earlier than '09 files if you want). Check for any files in Application Support in all Libraries (user & main HD), particularly HD > Library > Application Support > iWork '09, HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork '09 & plist files in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences. Spotlight doesn't search libraries, so I prefer using the freeware utility Find Any File.

If you need to find your serial number for a non-creative cloud product as mentioned above, start by logging in to your adobe account. (Go to Adobe .com and click “Sign In” in the upper-right menu bar. Enter the email you use as your Adobe ID and your password.) All of your registered products and their serial numbers are listed in the Plans & Products section on the Manage Accounts page that appears.

Bought CS3 about 7 years ago under an email address that's been closed for many years and I lost the serial number from that old CS3 and now after doing a clean wipe of my hard drive after some computer glitches, I can no longer install CS5 upgrade as I cannot produce the CS3 serial number. No monkey business, I've been using CS5 since 2011 when I bought it directly from Adobe. What are my options?
Is it possible for you to log in to your OLD Adobe account using that email address to check your history?

Do you mean Photoshop Elements 11 or Photoshop CSx/11.x.x ?
How did you purchase “Photoshop #11”?
If you installed and registered your software at some point in the past, then your serial number should be online at www.adobe.com in the My Account area that lists registered products.
If you purchased your software from Adobe.com as a download then there may be an order receipt in your order history in my My Account area that could have your serial number.
If you purchased PS from a retail store then perhaps they have something that would help you.
Adobe is not in a position to give away software so merely asserting that you have a disc (which contains something that could also easily be downloaded for free) probably isn’t going to be enough. Do you have the box or the receipt? -
I received photoshop elements 11 as a gift 2 years ago. I am fearful that I have lost the serial number. I have the box and the sleeve but neither have a serial number. I have installed the trial version, but hope I can add a serial number. Any suggestions?
If you never bought the product then you cannot get the serial number.

how on earth do you contact adobe - i lost my serial number before registering my standalone software...the phone service is offshore and not very helpful - the chat (i thought it was realtime) has been slow - if i understand, you need your proof of purchase and they will issue a serial number
To help address performance issues the Identi-e web site is currently down for maintenance. If you are trying to redeem a product code to obtain your serial number for the Student & Teacher edition of our software you will currently be unable to do so. We would recommend installing the software in trial mode for the moment until the maintenance period is complete.

If you have already installed PSE11 and registered with Adobe then you can sign in to http://www.adobe.com/ and click Manage then go to the products and orders section and see if you can find the serial number, there; otherwise, you’ll need to contact Adobe and see if they’ll agree you have purchased it, and somehow communicate the serial number.

If you have lost your serial number then the first thing you should do is to check your DVD if it is attached on the sleeve of the DVD. Also, if you registered your product withy Adobe then your account should have a record of your serial number.
If neither of this apply then you can browse the Amazon website and look for a bargain on PSE12. PSE12 runs better on new computers and you also get updates for new cameras.
It looks like you have to buy a new product because serial numbers are not something you can get free of charge here.

Hello, I purchased an Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 & Adobe Premiere Elements 12 software download card. Upon downloading the softwares I had internet communication problems and lost the window containing my product serial number. Now to install the downloaded products I require the serial number of this purchase. I have been unable to find this in my Adobe account as the products have not yet been registered. Therefore, I am at a loss for how to install them. Is there another way to obtain this?

I have lost my serial number and disk for lightroom 3 and I need it - I have since upgraded to v5 but have gotten a new laptop and want to install lightroom on there. I have my order number from 2011 for v3 AD003916979. How can I get my old serial number?
On you other machine with Lr5 installed or Lr3 installed search for a file on you computer called "Lightroom 3.0 Registration" or "Lightroom 5.0 Registration". You may have to search for hidden/system files. These files contain your Serial Numbers in plain text.
Otherwise, if your order number is from Adobe you can log in with your account to see your purchased products or contact Adobe with that order number. -

How do I go about getting the product serial number to register my product as well as install my product. I bought it with a product box. On the software disc sleeve, there is a series of numbers pasted at the bottom of the sleeves but this is not valid. When I tried to type this in for registration, it does register as this numbers also contain letters in it. Apparently the registration boxes accept numbers only. What do I do with a useless product for which I have paid good money for it?????
This is the simple solution which was offered to me when I tried to get the serial code on line.
The box and disc sleeve do not contain a series with 24 numbers which I presume is the product code to install.
I tried to redeem the registration code by following what they recommended, but inevitably it gets to the page that showed the registration boxes that need 24 serial numbers and I got stuck again.
This product is so different what my previous experiences of other software products where I just enter the serial number straight from the disc sleeve and then I got registered and go on to use the software.
I is really frustrating, spending the last two hours trying to get my product going....
