Lost PSE 5.0 Disc

Good morning everyone! I have lost my Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 software disc!! All I have is the serial number.. Is there anywhere I can get the software again - a download perhaps? Something I can burn onto a disc in case I need it again in the future? ANY help you can offer is GREATLY appreciated! I need to design some business cards for a new venture and was hoping to try and do it is PSE 5.0...

For PSE 5 your serial number would not work with a download. I would check ebay and such like places for used retail disc. Don't buy something that says "new in box"--at this point it's probably fake. You don't care if someone is unloading a real copy of PSE with a serial number that's invalid because they used to qualify for an upgrade, since you have your own number.

Those links weren't particularly helpful to me. They convinced me to install the drivers for my USB 2.0 card, but that didn't make a difference. Still no OS X without a PRAM reset if I've dared to venture into OS 9.
It's always been my understanding that an unblessed System Folder will not be selectable in OS 9's Startup Disk control panel. My folders are blessed and healthy. Of course I'm running 9.2.2, as stated in my first message. I also frequently verify and repair my disks and permissions.
I did a verbose startup of OS X, and noticed something funny about "ATY...too old." Perhaps this problem is related? I ventured into my system.log file and there it was, repeated over and over, everytime I've booted this computer:

Anyone know how to interpret that? Is it related to my problem? I googled it, and all I found was a web board of people arguing over whether the Apple installed stock ATI Rage video card that came in the G3's is appropriate for Panther. The Ye's have it as far as I'm concerned...as long as I leave OS 9 alone, my video is fine on this computer!

You don't have to do anything. The other discs are for Premiere Elements and Apple computers.

Unfortunately, photoshop cs will not run on mac os x 10.10 Yosemite, because photoshop cs is a PowerPC (type of processor) application and Yosemite uses an intel processor that can't run PowerPC applications.
(apple removed Rosetta after os x 10.6.8 snow leopard)
You can buy photoshop cs6 or subscribe to the creative cloud for photoshop cc 2014, if you want a version of photoshop that runs on your new operating system.

With the kernel panic your Mac is suffering I would suggest that once you get the DVD for your Mac that you boot with the first one in the set in your Mac with the D key depressed. This will start AHT. It will test your hardware. Kernel panic are generally caused by hardware problems.

Lost manual & set-up disc to iPod 5th generation....HELP?!

My son lost the manual and start-up/set-up disc to his iPod 5th generation. I asked someone to download a few songs for me & they downloaded almost 6,000 songs.....only 20 songs are acceptable for my son, who is at the age where he has certain songs he likes & dislikes, but I havent a clue how to delete the songs that he doesn't want.....please help, he is devastated that he waited until the holiday & now cannot listen to/play his new iPod.......

Lost start up internal disc and getting SUID File warning code?

In spite of everyone saying this is normal "SUID file "system/library/core services/remoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARD/agent" has been modified and will not be repaired. It is not a normal thing? My Mac is only three moths old, and I downloaded Lion, lost my Microsoft apps, resumes, and all my back up in icloud? Whole library crashed and it's a mess. Now there is now start up disc in the system? Very annoying.

If you repair Permissions and get the message Permissions repair complete, then go back and repair again, anything that reappears is not really an "error." Just ignore it.
If the Lion upgrade from Snow Leopard did all that and you have no backup to restore, then you're out of luck. But I don't understand how you went from Snow Leopard on a three months old machine. It wouldn't have come with Snow Leopard and Snow Leopard couldn't have been installed on it. Maybe you want to clarify.
EDIT: this would appear now to be a Lion, not a Snow Leopard issue. Why don't you ask for help in the Lion forum? Perhaps there are some fixes for your issues.

Lost Photoshop Elements 10 Discs

I have torn my house apart but cannot locate my box and discs. I still have my serial number as I registered my product online, but I really need to get this installed on my new laptop. Is there anything I can do, a download somewhere perhaps, to get this up and running again?

Lost Final Cut Pro Disc - Have Serial Number - What to do?

We have FCP Studio 5.1 and we have our serial number and all proof of purchase etc. We got a new computer and somehow have lost the discs. Is there a place to get, purchase, or download just the software and then we can enter our serial number to activate it and register it. Thanks.

Contact Apple at its main number with your proof of purchase.
Also, file a claim with your insurance company.

Do I qualify for LR4 upgrade? Have LR2 update, lost my V1 box & disc

I puchased Lightroom version 1 when it was released (through the adobe website), and later purchased the LR2 upgrade. I would like to purchase a LR4 upgrade, however I have lost my V1 disc and box. I do have the V2 upgrade disc and box. Is it possible to upgrade? Will the V4 upgrade installer accept my LR2 upgrade key? (Or does anyone know a way to recover my LR1 key: I am guessing the answer to that is a big fat NO)

Unfortunately this started because I had to rebuild my system. It's
complicated, so let me summarize:
- My system crashed and I had to rebuild it.
- I wanted to re-install LR, but I have v2 upgrade disk and key, not v1 key
- My Adobe online account history shows my purchase of version 1, but says
'key is on the disk'
- I thought, if I can't install v2, I'll use this as an excuse to upgrade
to v4
- Hence the question.
Sounds like you think I could get away with upgrading to v4 with only a v2

Lost 10.4.8 Disc

My 94 year old Mother and her friend in Florida have a Mini Mac but can't remember their administrative password, even with the hint, and they can't find their original 10.4.8 disc. Is there any other way to reset the administrative password so they can add a new printer? Will an apple store help reset the password?

However, as you can see you have to boot from the disk to do this. I believe there is an Apple phone number you can phone to get them to issue replacement disks. I've seen it posted here but don't have a record of it; you can probably find it searching Apple's website.
Kappy also [just posted an article|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1458675&tstart=0] about reinstating admin. status to an account that used to be admin but lost it. I don't know if that would apply to your case.
