Lost Purchased iTunes

About six months ago I had to completely format my computer and take it back to it's factory settings because it was so slow and no matter what I did I couldn't make it any faster. Since then it's been working great but, all the iTunes I bought from the iTunes store have all gone. I would have thought they would still be in my purchases folder when I reinstalled iTunes. I must have lost about 60+ tunes. Any idea how I can recover them? Thanks

Your music would only be where you put it.
Did you fail to maintain a backup copy?
If so, not good, you can redownload some itunes purchases in some coutnries:

my computer went down and i took it to a store to have it repaired, he restored just the my documents and it looks like I lost all my purchased itunes music as the "purchased music" folder is empty. I had several thousand songs that I had bought when I "check for purchases" it says music can only be downloaded once, is there any way to restore this music or get ppurchased songs downloaded again?

Drive crashed and lost purchased itunes...

my drive crashed and I lost everything. my purchased itunes are still on my ipod - is there anyway to transfer them back into itunes?

Use Senuti or iPodRip or similar application.

That is going to depend on what you mean by "restore". If you formatted your hard drive and did not have a backup then the music files are gone and you will have to re purchase them all. Same thing if you
If you still have your music files all you need to do is add them to iTunes. Go to File > Add Folder to Lib... and point to where the files are.
If you believe you still have the music files but do not know where they are try doing a search for *.m4p, or *.mpb, or *.mp3. If the files are still on your hard drive then that should find them.

I'm hoping someone cn help me...
I'm wanting to redownload quite a lot of songs I purchased on iTunes a few years ago but they're not on my "purchased" list on iTunes but my recent ones are. I did have a different laptop at the time, so I'm wondering if this has anything to do with it?

Switching from PC to Mac, and lost my iTunes-purchased music!

When I switched from my old PC to my new Mac, the changeover was fairly smooth except that I no longer have access to the music I had downloaded from iTunes (or so it seems). I can see the downloaded music listed in my iTunes account, but it doesn't appear in iTunes or on my iPod. Is there a way to re-download the files or somehow regain access to these tracks without re-paying for them?

The policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:

You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and explain the circumstances to them, you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. Is there a way to get my lost Itunes purchases back, I don't have an Ipod so I can't do it that way. I tried finding it through the Apple help but was unsuccessful.

Purchases from the iTunes store (with the exception of Apps) are a one time download only. If you have lost these purchases, you'll need to pay for them again. However, you might be able to download them again if you speak with iTunes support about it. Don't count on it, but it's worth a shot.

I reset my computer to orig manufacturers speifications and lost all my purchased Itune music before this year. I've been a member for ten years. Itunes does not have a record. Is there anything else I can do to get them back.

I had to reboot my desktop computer to original manufacturers specifications and all my purchased Itune music was deleted from my computer. I didn't back up my itunes because they advertise they keep a record of your purchased music. I contacted Itunes and they have stated they only have a record of purchases made this year. I've been a member for ten years. Any ideas on how to get back my purchased music? Also, I have an old Ipod Nano that I haven't used for quite some time because the battery didn't hold its charge, and it has some of my older purchased music. Itunes said I can't get the music on my old ipod downloaded back onto my computer, any ideas on this?
