Lost Purchased Ringtones with iOS 5

Iknow there have been a lot of issues coming up today with iOS 5 but I have a new one here and I am looking for some help.  I went to set my ringtone and realized none of my purchased ringtones are listed.  I tried going through iTunes on the phone to get them back, but they aren't listed in the purchased area and if I look them up in the iTunes store it doesn't show them like I purchased them.  Please help.  Thanks in advance

Hey everyone,
I have a ringtone that I downloaded (not purchased) that wasn't showing up on my phone, but was showing up in iTunes. I tried the uncheck/sync/check/sync routine, but that didn't work.
So here's an alternative that worked for me, and I hope works for anyone else with a similar problem.
1) Delete the ringtone from the phone.
2) Delete the ringtone from the appropriate folder in iTunes (iTunes Music > Ringtones).
3) Add the ringtone file back to the Ringtones folder in iTunes.
4) Drag the ringtone to the iPhone icon in the iTunes sidebar.
5) Sync your phone.
6) Check your ringtone list in your phone's Ringtones window from Settings. It SHOULD be there now.
Please note this applies to downloaded or self-made ringtones. I've never purchased ringtones from iTunes, so I don't know if those are handled differently. Still, I hope this helps if the re-syncing option doesn't pan out!

  • How to find a lost iPod Touch with IOS 4.3 installed?

How do you go about finding a lost iPod Touch with IOS 4.3 installed? I had updated my iPod Touch to IOS 4.3 and I had read something about the update having the ability to help one find their lost device.
Is there documentation anywhere that outlines how this works?
    Thanks,

  • I lost my ringtones with the new ios 7 update

I updated my Iphone 4s to the IOS 7 update and I lost my ringtones and my songs. could someone tell me how to get my songs and ringtones back please.

If Find my iPhone was activated prior to updating to iOS 7, it uses the ID it is tied to to turn on activation lock.
You must use the Apple ID and password that was used to turn on Find my iPhone before the update. ONLY that ID can be used to activate the phone. This is an anti-theft feature.

  • TS1702 How do I hide purchased apps with iOS 6? With iOS 5 you can swipe the unwanted app to hide it, but this doesn't work with iOS 6.

How can I hide an app from the list of purchased apps using iOS6? With iOS 5 you can swipe the icon to display a red Hide icon, but this doesn't work with iOS 6. Suggestions (that work) will be appreciated.

Yes. On a computer. Not ios6.
On iTunes on your computer under purchased, select the x on the top corner. That will hide them.

  • Many paid Apps lost in iTunes with iOS 8 update

When I updated my Mac Book Pro today many of my paid Apps disappeared from iTunes as well as from my devices when I updated them
with iOS 8 by connecting them to my Mac.  If I go into the iTunes Store I can re down load them for free it's just a matter of trying to remember them all.
Is there a way to see a list of all purchased Apps or find out why this happened?

You can see what purchases you have made in the app store using the steps in this article -

  • Lost purchased ringtone

I just connected my iphone to itunes and itunes erased my iphone playlist( i can make a new one) but also my purchased ringtone. Anyone else experience this? How to get it back?

    Hi,
I had the same problem but what I did was go into the tones section of itunes, select one of my purchased tones and got info, then deleted all of the info apart from the track name, synced all tones with my iphone 4s and they are now on there.
    Hope this helps
Well, this solved it.  Apparently changing the info, changed the file, and enabled the corrupted files on the iphone to be overwritten.  Clever - thank you.  A more "above board" approach would be preferred.  But hey, clever, thanks.

  • "Lost" purchased ringtone on iPhone 5

I have two purchased ringtones on the iphone in iTunes and created several via garage band on my mac.  The two purchased ringtones initially bhaved and were available as one would expect.  They are now "missing" on the iphone.  They do not show up in the tones list.
In iTunes on my mac under the iphone device, they show up in Tones, checked, with an exclamation point on the left of the check mark.  They will not play.  They will not delete.
In iTunes on my mac they show up under purchased and under Tones and play fine.
The two ringtones do not show up as purchased on the iphone in the iTunes app.
Note: For a couple days the purchased ringtones were available and played fine.  The tones originating from Garage Band continue to be fine.  I did set up backing up my iphone to my mac in the interim.  The iphone is sync'd with iTunes.
What does the exclamation point mean?
Any thoughts on how to make these 2 tones available on the phone?
    Thank You!

  • Key Photo lost when synching with iOS devices

    Hi and thanks for reading.
I have noticed that in the last months, when I synch my iPhoto Events with my iPhone one iPad, the Events on iOS devices are not labelled by the same key photos I have on the MAC on iPhoto.
    Does anybody know the reason?
    Thanks bye

The iphone/ipad is not a backup/storage device.  They simply mirror the selected content of the computer to which you sync.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to the new one.

  • Lost purchased apps with iOS5

Yesterday I updated my ipod Touch to iOS5 to use iCloud. When I completed my iCloud sync I lost all my purchased apps. I turned off iCloud and connected to  my computer to sync and still none of my purchased apps! Any suggestions?

Where the apps on the computer on which yu did the update?  If not, they will be lost since thebbackup that iTunes makes as the first step of the update does not include apps (or music).
You can always redownload apps at no additional cost as long as you are signed into the same iTunes account that originally purchased them.

  • IPhone 5S ringtones with iOs 7.1.1

When my iPhone was updated by the above update it stopped using my personalized ringtone.  Now when I get a call I hear the Chimes ringtone that came with the phone.  I tried looking in the Sounds option under Ringtone and my personalized selection is still there.  When I call my phone all I hear is chimes.  What can I do to fix this?

All you have to do is go to Settings and then Sounds and just re-select your ring tone to use it again.
