Lost purchases from damaged iTouch

I've read the 'you can only download once' policy on items, but several websites seem to disagree, that you can apparently redownload items that you've purchased. I want to know whether this is possible.
Last night, I purchased two TV episodes on my iTouch and then went for a bath. I know it's foolish, but I've never had any problems in the past, but last night I stupidly dropped my iTouch into the bath while trying to connect the headphones. Virtually half an hour after purchase. iTouch no longer functions, so my downloads are lost. I've got an appointment to see the suppoer people at my local apple store on saturday, should I ask them?

Despite saying 'contact us by phone or by email', there is nothing visible that indicates that is possible. No links, nothing.

I have benn trying to upgrade my itouch operating system, but I can't seem to. Did you install iTunes?
Once downlaoded, iTunes should have installed, and open once installed.
If its not open you can look for it in your Start Menu in Windows or Finder in Mac.

Re-downloading a lost purchase from itunes

I bought 2 tv seasons and a movie and before i was able to back them up my drive took a dive. If i go to itunes and redownload them will i be charged for the purchase? If so how do i get them back.

Here's what Apple says: "If your hard disk becomes damaged or you lose any of the music you've purchased, you'll have to buy any purchased music again to rebuild your library."
However, you can go here: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/ and fill out the form to request Apple authorize another download. Be as specific as possible with the names of the TV seasons and movies. Beg a little. You may get lucky and the worst that can happen is they say "No".

Re-downloading lost purchases

Hi uh this is my first post thing but i needed the answer to this question...i have heard from others that there is a way you can re-download your lost purchases from itunes...i downloaded a movie on my itunes from another computer and was working perfectly but then i had to switch computers and i lost my downloads...music, tv-shows, and movies...i was able to recover half of my tv-shows but wasnt able to recover anything...i had purcased everything if there is any chance i could get those things back without having to re-purchase it...i have taken the advice from itunes on how to search all files and folders on the computer but was unsuccessful...if anyone knows a way i could get those things back without re-purchasing them please let me know...thanx

Restore it from a backup, use the Transfer Purchases command in iTunes if it's on an iPod, iPad, or iPhone, or click here and ask. Backing up your purchases is your responsibility.

Re Text messaging. I have noticed that a lot of the phone numbers are not phone numbers but just a random set of numbers. 0000265060, 0032665115, 0000032665, 0032665114. These are people my son is texting to and receiving texts from. Does this mean the person has a blocked phone number???

I have lost purchased music from itunes when I reset my ipod

I recently reset my ipod due to a software issue. As my laptop with all my songs which I had purchased from itunes is no longer with me, i can not reload those songs.
Will iTunes be able to resend those songs to me that I had bought from iTunes or atleast give me the same credit so that I can go back to the store and buy them again?

The policy on lost songs is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage."
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download however they are not under any obligation to do so. I have an iPod Classic 5th Generation. I have not used it for about one month. When I turned it on, I had lost all my music and playlist files. The only thing left on the iPod was the music and audio books I have purchased from iTunes store. I tried to delete everything on the ipod by sliding the hold button and then pressing the center button and the menu and I saw the apple logo on the screen but the iPod wouldn't reboot. Any suggestions as to how I can delete everything on the iPod and then plug it into my computer to restore my music library? I am using a Windows 7 operating system.

Does both your Windows and Macbook iTunes have the same library of songs?
if it does then, much easier to proceed, else try to load the Macbook with the same library as Windows.
Note that only one of the Macbook USB port is good for iPod Classic, the other is too slow and may cause timeout, and I would suggest disconnect all other USB devices, while you Restore or Sync the iPod Classic.
Connect the iPod to the Mac, (if iTunes launch, please close it back.)
Use Disk Utility -> select the iPod Device->First Aid->Repair (use option FAT32)
After the Repair complete, eject the iPod.
Connect back to the Mac
When iTunes launch, Restore the iPod when Prompted, (use FAT32)
Sync your library.

All of your music should be in itunes on your computer.
Select it to sync and sync.

I just downloaded an old version of iDVD from a disc I purchased from Amazon (iLife '11). I only downloaded the iDVD portion of it. Now my recent version of iPhoto will not open and I get the message that iPhoto may be damaged or incomplete

I just downloaded an old version of iDVD from a disc I purchased from Amazon. I downloaded only the iDVD portion of the disc. Now when I go to open my new version of iPhoto, I get a message that I cannot open the application because it may be damaged or incomplete. What can I do to get this resolved?

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.
