LOST SAVED DATA

Got a unpleasant message this morning on my Mac.  "Adobe Reader unexpectedly quit".  It went to open recent documents and nothing was there.  How can I recover a very long application I filled out and saved serval times?
Would really like 2 hours of my life back.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I don't have that option

  • Saved data missing after phone upgrade

I have upgraded from 3G to 4 got all my apps but have lost saved data. Is there a way to sync this too?

That data should be in the 3G backup, although some data may not be compatible with the current iOS, depending on what iOS was on the 3G.  Usually the backup is restored when you set up the new phone, unless you elected to set up as a new phone..
    1. Disable automatic syncing on connection (iTunes prefs > Devices > Disable....
    2. Connect phone
    3. Right-click device tab for phone (right border of iTunes window) and select "Restore backup."  This should restore the backup from the 3G unless it's been replaced by a newer one from your iP4.

  • Adobe upgrade - lost all saved data on pdf form. Help?

I recently spent weeks completing and revising a very lengthy and important application form (pdf).  Upon submitting it I was told that the data could not be viewed and that I needed to update my Adobe to the latest version (11).  Upon doing this I lost all saved data on the pdf forms, I wasn't pre warned about this and am extremely dissapointed as it tooks me ages to find all the information and re-word it to a high standard.  Is there any way that it can be recovered?
I thought it would be in my sent emails but that is blank as well.  Help?

If you used an earlier version of Reader before it would only have been possible to save the filled-in information in the file if a special right was applied to it by the authors, before you received it. If that right was not applied then you should have seen an error message saying that the file can't be saved with the data you entered.

  • ITunes deleted all apps and all saved data lost...

I connected my ipod touch to my computer and it started to sync. I was watching the info at the top when it started deleting all my applications. I clicked on the applications tab, and almost all my apps were unselected. I let it finish, and when it was done, I only had about 10 apps left. I reconnected it to the computer and selected one more app to put on my ipod, and it didn't bring all the saved data with it. I have now lost a years worth of stuff. I tried restoring from backup, but the latest backup was from after it deleted all apps. Anyone know how I can get all my saved data back to my ipod? Also, why would it get rid of all those apps. I know I didn't deselect them.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Lost game saves/saved data?

I'm not really sure whats happened but for some reason alot of my file game saves are missing. I've checked both the system storage and online storage and alot of content is missing. I've not been on my PS4 for a few weeks and was just looking to play some Saints Row which I had a game completion of 100% but the save file is no longer there. When I was checking the storage, literally all my saved data in gone minus a few recent-ish games I've played. Any advice? I previously shared a console with my partner but I bought my own console a few weeks back. I believe she has removed me from her console, would this by any chance have any effect on my files? I don't know the process for what happens when you delete a user but I presume you have the option to remove everything relating to the user from the console - including game saves/DLC/etc.  I hope this makes sense, any advice would be appreciated!

When a user profile is deleted from a console, all content tied to said user profile is deleted as well. This only effects the console the profile was deleted from. If you didn't back-up your save files to a USB stick or PS+ storage and transfer them to your new console before the profile was deleted, then I'm afraid you'e lost those save files for good.

  • Lost saved scenarios (data)

Lost saved scenarios (data) every time I uploaded a newly regenerated SWF file. I am using Xcelsius 2008 with SP2.
After a few hours of investigation, I learned that Local Scenario creates a new .SOL file in the SharedObjects every time with a newly generated SWF. In turn causing Flash Player to drop previous SOL file along with the saved scenario.
Does anyone know how to fixed this issue or has a workaround for it?
    Thanks

Thank you for your reply, Anil. This functionality doesn't seem right.  Do you any other way to save the "scenario" data either to a database or file on local drive?
    Thanks.

    Hi bluegrandpanash,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you backed up your iPhone to iCloud before updating the software, first try the steps under "Restore from an iCloud backup" in this article to recover your data:

  • Premiere Elements 12 crash, lost all saved data on a new project.

I was working on a short project that had many video and audio clips. About 3 hours into the project Premier Elements 12 crashed. Now It will not open the saved data. It simply tells me "An unknown error occurred while opening the project"  Am I SOL? Is this what I should expect as a regular from Adobe? More importantly, is there a method to recover the project? I am a new user to Adobe Elements and video editing in general.
    Thanks,
    Jordan M-

I've attempted to update the software. When I open the program up and go to the Help tab and Check for Updates, it tells me that it is already up to date. I've noticed through screen shots that other users' icons say 12.1 Mine does not and I still have performance issues while trying to render or upload.
My computer runs high end games at max settings, so as far as I can tell, my computer works fine. I would like to understand these updates further before I continue to analyse the issues I am having.
    Also,
I ran a  Program Compatibility Test and it tells me:
    Issues found:
    Program Compatibility:
Incompatible Application (referring to Premiere Elements 12)
    Publisher Details:
Make older programs run in this version of Windows,
    Package Version 1.5
    Publisher Windows.
Make older programs run in this version of Windows,
    Package Version 1.0
    Publisher Microsoft Corp."
    Detection Details:
    "Windows Version 6.1
    Architecture x86"
I don't want to flood you with to many questions. My priority is to just update the darn thing to see if that is my issue. I thought I would mention the test above as additional info that might be helpful.
Thank you for your help thus far, It's been of great use.
    Jordan-

  • Lost iWeb Data

When I installed Leopard, I had to do a clean install. I was building a site in the iWeb 2006 and had saved it on an external disk. I'm concerned I lost the data. If I open iWeb 2006 on the external disk itself, it comes up blank. However in the ext. disk->user ->library ->application support ->iWeb folder, I found "Document," (BLDocument Native Domain) which holds 500MB of data. But when I copied it to my computer disk Applications Folder, nothing changed in iWb 09.
    Any insight on this?

Just to update, fortunately, my wife had a copy of the 2006 iWeb in her Mac with most of the data in it. So I copy pasted from that into 09. It's possible that most of the work I did had not been backed up. Lucky me.

  • Lost desktop data

Can someone please help on retrieving lost data?
I have lost data that was on my desktop calendar application. I don't have the Palm TX anymore but use the desktop software "Palm Desktop by Access".  I have lost most of the data that was on my Nov. and Dec. calendar months.  It does not appear data on any other months were lost.  My computer uses Windows Vista.  Thanks

If you don't do a regular hotsync with your TX to the PC you more than likely have lost the data. You can try to recover the data by using the following procedure.
You can recover the data from your user folder provided you have only sync'ed once with the PC when you discovered the data missing. When you sync to the PC there are files created for each PIM category in your user folder. For Example; datebook.dat or datebook (Depending on the version of Palm Desktop) and datebook.bak. On Vista the file names are .mdb and mdb.bak.
The files are named .dat and .bak. When you sync, the current data is stored in .dat. The next time you sync the data in the .dat file is copied to the .bak file. You can rename the .dat to .old. then rename the .bak to .dat. If the data in the .bak file is intact, it will now be in palm desktop when you reopen Palm desktop. I have included a link to show you how to find the userfolder on the PC.

    Here is another link regarding data loss;
    http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=39503
The best way to backup your data is to use the export feature in Palm Desktop. Make a new folder on the PC desktop named Palm Desktop Backup data. Next, select the category you want to export. You will get a window that asks where you want to save the file, save in the folder created on the desktop. There is a button that allows you to select currently selected record or all, select all. If you don't select all, then only the record highlighted is exported. You will then need to name the file for export, I suggest the name of the category, eg: datebook (With current date). Do this for all critical data in each category. With the data exported to the folder on the PC desktop, you can save this data to a flash drive, external hard drive or a CD-RW. With this method you will have your data in a seperate place than Palm desktop and the device. If you "Lose" data again, you can import the data back into palm desktop.
Make sure that when you make changes in palm desktop or the device to export the data to the folder created for the backup.
    Here is a link for other options for backing up your data;
    http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=28751
The best way to preserve your data is to export the data in each category in Palm Desktop to a seperate folder on your PC.
Create a new folder on your PC somewhere that is convenient. Name it something like Palm Desktop Data. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on that page for the export procedure.
    http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=28734
Make sure you select all for the range in the export window.
With the data saved in the folder you created, make a copy of that folder and save to a flash drive, cd-rw or external hard drive.
Anytime you make a change in Palm Desktop, export the data that was changed to that folder and save again to the external media.
With this process you can always import the data back into Palm Desktop anytime you have a problem with the data in Palm Desktop or if your computer/hard drive/device crashes.

  • Question about iphone apps and saved data.

So let's say I'm playing a game from the app store on my iphone and I beat it. Now I want to buy a new game but I don't have enough space to keep them both on my phone. So I delete the old one from my phone knowing it will still be on my mac. Then I play the new game and beat it and I start wanting to play that old game again. So I put the old one back on my phone and I lost everything I did before. Why? Is there a way I can take an app off my iphone without losing all the saved data?

Here's how it works (from page 179 of the iPhone iOS4 User Guide).  You can delete apps you install from the App Store. If you delete an app, data associated with the app is no longer available to iPhone, unless you reinstall the app and restore its data from a backup.
You can reinstall an app and restore its data as long as you backed up iPhone with iTunes on your computer. (If you try to delete an app that hasn’t been backed up to your computer, an alert appears.) To retrieve the app data, you must restore iPhone from a backup containing the data.
To restore from a backup, see page 257 of the iPhone iOS4 User Guide
