Lost Serial no

I bought a Adobe After Effects CS6 a few years ago in Hong Kong, which is a disk. The serial number was on the back of the CD sleeve, however I've lost the sleeve. I never registered the product on adobe.com. Is there any other way I can find my serial number, or acquire a new one?

It's on the back of the installation booklet. If you've lost that, and have some proof of purchase, it can probably be sorted out by contacting Apple.

If you registered PSE when you first installed it, go to the main page of adobe.com and look for My Adobe on the upper right side of the page. By working your way through the links there you should find your serial number.

I am incredibly frustrated and appalled at the customer service I have received whilst attempting to resolve a lost serial number.
My hard drive became faulty and I had to replace it. Whilst trying to reinstall my educational copy of CS6 I realised I had lost my serial number (but had my product code <Removed by Moderator> .
I contacted Adobe and was told to provide proof of purchase. I received my copy of CS6 through my Disabled Student Allowance, which means it was purchased on my behalf by a funding body and brought from a specialist company (Invate). I have contacted both establishments and all the documents they could provide me with where an invoice and a quote for the equipment. I have also provided my proof of eligibility at the time and the university email address the serial number would have been sent to.
I first contacted adobe customer service on the 9th of February, three of my cases have been withdrawn without any contact or explanation. All that was posted on the cases was a short sentence saying we have not received a response from you. I was told I would be emailed. I have contacted Adobe customer services four times, all that happens is they open a new case which ends up being withdrawn. I have spent many hours talking to your customer service and emailing companies to find proof of purchase. I have also lost three weeks of work and access to my files due to a lack of any response, general neglect and poor service.
I am incredibly annoyed and saddened by the lack of assistance.I have loved using adobe’s products but this is unacceptable treatment.
I want to file and official complaint and I want this issue resolved immediately.

If you do recall the e-mail address which was utilized to register your Creative Suite 6 software title you can locate it under the account at http://www.adobe.com/. Additional details regarding how to locate registered serial numbers can be found at Find your serial number quickly. Creative Suite 6 will register to an Adobe ID as part of the activation process so it is likely that the software title was registered. If there any additional e-mail address or phone numbers that the software would be registered under please feel free to update case 214861222 with the details.

Lost serial retrieval

Hi. I've lost my serial number, I think it was on the manual which I threw away. I kept the other packaging ironically but there is no serial number on them. I've tried contacting Adobe through the chat app and had no luck, and I have read the articles about where to find lost serial numbers. I still don't have my serial number so is it possible for someone from Adobe to send me my serial number?
Frustrated that I own the product and can't use it, would be more useful to print the serial on the CD than expecting us to keep all that packaging! Next time I'll write it on the CD myself ^_^.

The installer disks are generic. The serial number is only contained within the packaging. This is part of the reason which Creative Suite 6 will automatically register a serial number.
Sroome as Kglad has suggested you will want to contact our support team at Contact Customer Care. Please try searching under alternate e-mail addresses or phone numbers which could have been utilized to register the software. If the software title was never registered then we do no have a record of your serial number. As the subject header states, I purchased new mac, but lost my serial number and no longer have access to registered email. I had purchased the Creative Suite Web and Design C6 version. Support said they can only forward my lost serial number to the registered email. Since she was without effective tools, she recommended I post something on the forums for support. Anyone have the ability to get me back to using my suite?

Only the person(s) you spoke to have the ability to provide you with the serial number. People here can merely suggest where to look for it. If you registered your software when you installed it originally then you should be able to find your serial number stored in your Adobe account online in the Products section.
You might want to try updating your information in your account if the email is the only thing holding back from getting the info sent to you.

I need to reinstall logic 8 but lost serial number

I have had to wipe my hard drive and now need to reinstall logic 8 before i install Logic 9 upgrade, but I have lost the serial number for 8. What should I do?

If you intend to upgrade to Logic 9, you should not need to actually install Logic 8 (unless you want to).
You will need the 8 Serial number in either case if you are using an upgrade installation disk set for Logic Studio (2).

Go to the folder it says, and open the .lrreg file with a text editor, like Notepad or Wordpad, and look for the serial number that will be 6 groups of 4 digits beginning with 1160. Don’t post the serial-number here, of course, as this is a public forum.
If you have had more than one LR version on your computer, e.g. LR3 or LR4, there may be more than one serial number to determine, as you’ll need an older serial-number if your LR5 one is an upgrade.

IPod Nano Lost Serial Number

On my Mac, somehow my 2GB Nano had lost it's serial number. As a result it was not possible to update or restore the unit. I needed to restore the unit because it was not functioning correctly.
Interestingly I opened Windows on my Mac (Boot Camp install), where neither iTunes nor the iPod have been installed before and it went through the new install process. I entered the serial number and it reformatted and installed perfectly. It works as new on WIndows.
I returned to the Mac operating system and still the serial number was not recognised and it would not restore. I really want the unit to work on the Mac OS as this is where all my music is stored.
Any ideas how to re-enter the serial number?

Lost serial number to Photoshop Elements 6

Can someone help? I am trying to install my purchased (but not registered) version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, but I lost the serial number. Can I get a new number from Adobe. I can not find it on the registry of my old computer, because the old one no longer has internet access. When I try to look up the number, it gives me 20 numbers instead of 24. Very frustrating. Lost serial number before I could install the first time. What do I do?

I lost my serial number after I got this program. Now I only get a 30 day trial. How do I find the number to register my product and be able to use this program. Or am I out the 80.00 bucks ?

Well, if no answered you I guess I won't get an answer either. Bummer. Adobe is providing very POOR customer service right now. Now way to contact them and the online support just puts you in a vicious loop with no way to contact them. I'm not impressed.

Lost serial number to install CS4 Design Premium Student Edition

I had CS 4 Design Premium Student Edition installed on my computer and a cs 5.5 software update installed. I reformatted my computer and updated to a newer OS. Later I tried to re-install my software and realized I lost my serial number. I cannot install the cs 5.5 update without having a previous version of CS installed. Does anyone know of a solution to this? I tried calling Adobe and they instructed me to use the chat. I'm still waiting for a response on chat, but I thought I'd post this while I'm waiting to see if anyone has any suggestions or ideas. I'd prefer not to update to Creative Cloud yet.

Have photoshop cs 3 - lost serial number

Hello my nephew d/l photoshop cs 3 for me in March 2009 (on my old HP Compaq Presario X6000 laptop, which I no longer have, also he wiped its hard drive clean when I gave the laptop to him this past July), and he backed it up for me on a disc, so yesterday I installed it from the disc onto an Asus Eee PC netbook (just bought this netbook this past Thursday) that has a 160 GB hard drive and a max. screen resolution of 1024 x 768 & Windows XP, it installed nicely, no problem but now it's asking me to input the serial number. I lost the serial number for my photoshop - is there any way that I can retrieve it so I can write it down for safekeeping and so I can input this serial into the one I installed into my netbook?

If the copy of PS was purchased via the Adobe Store (should have been, with a download), or was registered, then Adobe will have your S/N. You should be able to log-in to Adobe.com with your Adobe I.D. and find that S/N. If not, then a call to Adobe's Customer Service will have the info. It will be in the database.

Lost serial Number for FCE 2

I have the disc, The app is installed on my comp, but I have lost the serial number to 'reinstall' after an upgrade to OS 10.5.8.
When I upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.5.8, I thought it only upgraded the system - but no it wiped: Mail, Pics, iTunes and a host of apps. which I am slowly trying to re-install.
I'm looking for the Serial number of my Final Cut Express 2 - I cannot find a FCE2 community - Is there a way to retrieve the number ?

I regret having upgraded at all with the grief it's given me in apps that are 'dead'. Losing all my Mail, ditto iTunes 1000 numbrs - Playlists and Pictures - 30000.
Lucky I had pic backups and all my tunes are on CD.
Silly me I thought that upgrades only upgraded the system didn't realise that it wiped the system clean.
Luckily my eMac cannot upgrade any higher so I will not have to worry about reloading all my apps with a next upgrade.

Lost Serial Number... Ugh

Hi folks, I'm afraid I've lost my old serial number card for Final Cut Pro Studio. I've owned FCP2, and purchased the full upgrade to FCP Studio and the upgrade to FCP Studio 2. I'm installing on a new machine and it's asking for my old full product serial number.
If I don't find it, where do I go with Apple? I have the receipt from my purchase of the upgrade from FCP2 to FCP Studio And the upgrade from FCP Studio to FCP Studio 2. Where do I go to obtain the old license? Adobe makes this much easier, with an account that lists all of you registrations.
Who do I contact at Apple so I can get up and running again?

This won't help your situation now, but will in the future:
Make a simple database, spreadsheet or text document that contains ALL of your software titles and serial numbers, registration/key codes, date & place of purchase, etc. Keep a backup copy of this in a safe place. Next time you upgrade software, a new computer or just need to do a reinstall, the serial numbers will be readily available.
For now though, I agree with the others; contact Apple.

Lost Serial Number for Elements 9

I just flattened and rebuilt my PC with windows 8. On going to install Photoshop, I realized i have lost the insall media and serial. Unfortunately i bought in a bricks and mortar store and did not register the product.
I do however have a complete backup of my pc before i formatted it (in case i wanted to go baco to my old configuration). I can see all my programs etc in the backup, including Adobe Photoshop ELements 9.
Is it possible for me to get my key/serial number from this backup?

No the serial number would be on the back of the CD/DVD box. It may be worth trying PSE11 free for 30 days and if you like it you would qualify for the upgrade price. If you also shoo video, the combo PSE11/PRE11 is very good value.
