Lost Sim card -- replacement?

I'm abroad right now and suspended my Verizon service for my HTC One phone and switched out the sim card for a local service's SIM card -- however in doing so I misplaced my Verizon sim card. What is the process/cost for getting a replacement SIM card for when I return to the US?

Stop by a corporate store when you return and get a SIM card for free.
You might want to call Verizon Wireless international support and have them disable the lost SIM card to prevent anyone else from using it overseas and roaming on a GSM carrier there. International Support - Verizon Wireless

Got a used iPhone4 to replace my lost one, had the screen replaced and then had the SIM card replaced by Best Buy.
They had issues in the store connecting to iTunes but the Geek Squad where they wiped it and said all was good.
Got home to update it and all was good up to the point where i needed to have the phone to work.
Then it wouldn't recognize there was a SIM card and to restore my phone.

  • 4s microphone has always malfunctioned (people can't hear me) for first 10 seconds of outgoing phone calls. I've synched w healthy Macbook Pro, replaced SIM cards, replaced iPhone 4s, called Applecare (no mic issue admitted). OS problem?

4s microphone has malfunctioned on most outgoing calls for many months. People can't hear me for first 10 seconds of outgoing phone calls. I've synched w healthy Macbook Pro, replaced SIM cards, replaced iPhone 4s when Apple Store thought it was probably a hardware problem, called Applecare (no mic issue admitted). OS problem??? I think so! [Possible] good news: for the past 2 days, since updating to 5.1.1, no one has reported problems hearing me!
I'm concerned Applecare folks did not admit to me that so many other 4s users also has malfunctioning mics.

    Why would that even matter?
The device obviously has a hardware issue and is under warranty, take it to Apple for replacement and move on with life.  No reason to make things difficult.

  • Severe battery drain after AT&T sim card replacement.

Up to a point, my wife's original iPhone worked fine. A week ago, it stopped connecting to the AT&T network, and after a call, we found out that someone at a retail store made an error when registering an upgrade to a 3g, and somehow started the process on my wife's account, which killed the sim card. I ran to the local AT&T store and they replaced the sim card for free, and all seemed well.
However, since then, her phone has been suffering from a severe battery drain. I have made sure that wi-fi, bluetooth, and location services are turned off, but it will not last 10 hours in standby mode after a full charge anymore (she makes no calls during the day - just leaves it in her purse on standby). I have tried a full restore of the software/firmware, and she is running the latest 2.02. Is there anyone who can help?

Sorry, no, that's not the issue. First, it's a 1st gen iPhone. Second, as I said in the question, I've already turned off every other unnecessary service on the phone. Basically, it's sitting in her purse on standby during the day, just as a phone, and draining from a full charge to nothing in about 9 hours. The problem only started after getting a new AT&T sim card. I'm wondering if anyone else has heard of this problem.

  • Lost SIM Card Overseas

Does anyone know how to reach Verizon Wireless when you're overseas and lost your SIM card? I have been trying to reach them thru their website auto form for more than a week with no response except to please call them, which I cannot do since I have no SIM card!!!!! This has been ruining my trip and super frustrating. I'm on a borrowed computer now for a few minutes and their live chat isn't even available.

Hi, I have been working at the Olympics in Sochi and dealing with this issue for 13 days now with no assistance from Verizon. I live in a hostel-type building. I  have no access to any kind of phone and limited Internet access on my cell phone using a Russian SIM card. None of your options work in my circumstance, which I've reported previously. I can only communicate thru email or by phone IF you call me. The three times I contacted Verizon thru auto form and discussion board online were thanks to a stranger letting me use their laptop. - Kimberly

  • Lost Sim card

I am traveling overseas and have lost the Sim card to my iPhone5.  Will it be possible to obtain another when or before I return to the US?  My service is suspended while I'm abroad and that seems to be affecting my ability to contact Verizon directly.

SIM cards are available for free from a corporate store. You can get a new SIM card once you return to the USA that way.

  • SIM card replacement

I swapped to my old phone at an att store for a weekend, and am trying to swap back to my android. the rep gave me a nano sim to activate instead of making the trip back. i attempted to activate it but i am having issues finding the right link. I am not changing my contract, or gophone plan.

Hi there! @snowdoody thanks for posting your question. For the security of your account, you’ll want to speak directly with an AT&T representative and they will be able to get that SIM activated.
So I can further assist you, please private message me by clicking here and provide your name and phone number.
    Thanks!

  • IPhone 5s can't make or receive calls and replaced SIM card

need help can't make or receive calls and got SIM card replaced twice

If the carrier cannot help you, then I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store to have the hardware checked. I really do not believe it is the hardware.
You could try a restore before going to the Apple Store. Make sure you have a backup of the phone and restore the device as new. After activation is complete, see if you can make a call. If it is possible, then restore your backup to recover your content and test again. If it fails, then it is a problem with your backup. If neither works, and the carrier cannot help, then make the appointment.

  • How do I insert sim card

I have a MacBook Pro, I see that I can insert a sim card into it on the left side near the headphones insert.
I have different sizes of sim cards, small and big. I also have a sim card replacement to put it into so it would fit this size. When I put it in nothing is picked up on the computer, nothing shows up, nothing appears in Iphoto.
What sizes of sims can I put in this computer, and how do I get it to appear? Help!
    Thanks

You can't put any size of SIM card into an MBP.  It doesn't have cell phone radios so even if you found a way it would be useless.

  • Iphone 5 SIM Card troubles

I've had the iphone 5 for about 6 months now.  For the past few weeks, I've gotten the "No SIM Card Installed" message.  I would shut the phone off and restart to get service back. This would happen several times a day.  Eventually I restored the phone to factory settings.  Only 2 days later, I kept getting the same message again.  Yesterday, I went to a verizon store to have the SIM card replaced.  Today, the very next day (less than 24 hrs), I'm getting the error message again.  I'll probably go back to the verizon store again today, but I don't want this to be a re-occurring issue.  Is it the phone itself that is damaged?

I had the same problem.  Apple support suggested a reset by pressing both the home button and the sleep/wake button.
When the Apple logo appears, you can release the buttons.  Then the lock screen appears with Verizon at the top instead of "no sim".  This seems to have fixed it.

  • Droid DNA Problem, No SIM card error

    Hi
I recently upgraded my device to a Droid DNA from HTC. Every so often I get an error message that there is no SIM card in the phone, and I lose the ability to receive or make calls. Usually restarting the device fixes this. I find it obnoxious that I need to restart each day.  Has anyone else been seeing this bug?
    Thanks
    tony

I had a similar SIM card error from day 1. Three SIM card replacements and one factory reset later, the helpful Verizon employees and I gave up and they shipped out a new replacement. When I personally switched the SIM over (previously a Verizon store person had done the switch), I noticed that there were three large full-length scratches across the SIM card which suggest that perhaps the phone was physically damaging the card. I am going to go into Verizon in the coming days to get a new SIM card and see if the new replacement DNA also scratches the SIM. Have any of you noticed similar damage? Perhaps that explains the errors. And, yes, a reboot, or going in and out of airplane mode generally fixed the problem for me as well (which had made me think this was a software issue until I saw the damage today).
    Cheers.

  • Palm Centro WiFi SIM card

I've read about WiFi SIM cards, but so far, all I've found are the kind used to make your phone a WiFi hot spot. I don't like cell phones, and I don't plan on using that feature of my Centro, but I do want to access the internet with it. Is there a SIM card replacement that would connect to a public WiFi network?

  • Samsung Galaxy S4 Error - SIM Card Removed - Unable to detect your SIM card.

I am having the same problem. The problem still occurs even after the 5.0.1 Lollipop update.

I've been having this issue as well. It did not occur on the stock 4.2.2 firmware. It started out at 4.3, where my signal would appear as no bars (not a crossed out circle, just 0 bars). I would have to enter airplane mode, or restart my phone to fix it. In 4.4, it changed to stating my sim card was not detected and I would have to restart my phone. In 5.0, it started out by having a no service (crossed out circle) signal, progressed to no sim card - restart.
I got the same line of crap from Samsung and AT&T that the rest of you have. First person I talked to was Samsung (their hardware, their problem). They told me, much like many of you have seen -
    1. Release the cache from the update (didn't work).
    2. Reset the phone to factory settings (didn't work).
    3. Go down to the Galaxy Experience Center at BestBuy to get a download for the OS files (didn't work)
    4. The Samsung guy at BestBuy stated there were 2 recourses available
--a. Send my phone to the Samsung repairs in Texas for free under warranty, or $70 outside it, to fix it
--b. Go to AT&T and get the SIM card replaced, although it likely wouldn't work.
--I countered with I could also do c. rollback my firmware to 4.2.2. He warned me doing so would void my warranty, and that I could possibly brick my phone. I told him my phone was well outside of the shoddy 1 year warranty, and that I understood the risks in changing firmware versions.
    5. Went to AT&T to get the SIM card replaced. The AT&T employee stated that he had heard of the issue, and the last 2 people who replaced it didn't get the issue fixed that way. Replaced the SIM card. (Didn't work)
    6. Called AT&T, asked if there were network upgrades being done to the 3 nearby towers, they stated no, but that this issue was a known issue and that it would be at the manager's discretion to replace my phone as it was out of warranty.
So I perused the internet some more, saw an interesting post. 1 person decided to go to Application Manager and disable all of AT&T and Samsung's bloatware. Others followed suit and it worked for them. I tried it myself, and had fixed my phone for a while. The problem for me was that I had my phone set to auto download updates. The issue returned today, if you can't tell.
I checked my updates, and saw Android System WebView was recently updated. I rolled it back just in case, but I am going to go through my phone once again to see what other bloatware is left.
It would make sense that it was added bloatware that has broken our connections, as bloatware has been added in each firmware update.
