I have requested for free up gradation of mountain lion os. My mac meets all the eligibility standards. I applied it on 25th and haven't got any code till now. Pls help
After you press download, check your Launchpad. The icon will show up with what looks like a white dot where you'd expect to see a progress bar. That white dot actually is the progress bar, as ML is a 4GB download and can take anywhere from 1 to 15 hours, depending on your connection speed. On the average 1.5Mbps economy connection, it will take about 7 hours to download.

How long does it take for Apple to send the content code for a free upgrade to Mountain Lion?
Has anyone managed to successfully receive the content code in their email for a free ugprade to Mountain Lion?
I bought my MBP on 14 July so I qualified for the free upgrade. Went to the website and filled in the form along with my serial number about 2 nights ago. Still haven't received my content code yet. How long does it take? Should I be speaking to someone already? Who?

Lost camera raw support for canon 1ds markI in mountain lion
I seem to have lost system support for camera raw files for the original Canon 1ds (what you might call the markI). There's been two recent raw support updates, and I'm not sure if it occured with the first for those two updates or with update to Mountain Lion itself (which I recently clean-installed). I noticed it after the first raw support update (Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 4.01) but it could have happend with Mountain Lion install and I just didn't notice. In any case, I definitely don't have support for the camera raw files, finder shows only the generic TIFF icon thumnail (the raw files from the markI 1ds were of the extension .TIF, before canon moved on to .cr2 format..). Preview and Aperture can preview the file but without any custom white balance or other info stored with the raw file from camera.
Anybody else experience this or know fix?

That latest raw update also shows supported devices. The EOS-1Ds is still shown as supported by Mountain Lion in the knowledge base article that accompanies it. Bump!
I wonder if using Disk Utility and verify/fix permissions may restore your RAW capability.
Don't have Aperture or Lightroom.
I installed the recent raw updates into 10.8.2. The DB5W2360.TIF file has a generic Preview icon. Graphic Converter 8.3.1 opens .cr2 files, and it opened this TIF file nicely as well. GC is willing to modify white balance with a condition that it cannot be done in place, and must be exported to a different format.

HT1212 i've lost the encryption code for my iphone back up in itunes.
I've tried all the 4 digit codes I can think of. I'm getting a replacement phone tomorrow and am worried I wont be able to restore all my data to it without knowing the code.
I read a couple of threads that seem to say ther is nothin i can do except start my phone from new which is fine except Im using an app on my phone to save all my passcodes etc too. I dont want to loose those. any suggestions.You have already been given suggestions. What you want is a different suggestion.

i participated in the mountain lion free upgradde for new owners but i cannot open the content code because the password is too long! HELP!
What happened was that the password was 32 characters long and the field that they give you to use would not allow you to manually type those characters in (crazy huh?) but it took it when i copied and pasted it in!

Because I purchased my Macbook air after July 26, 2012 I qualify for the free Mountain lion update. However the content code that they e-mailed to me is coming invalid. Why? and what do I do now. i could buy it for 19.99 but kind of a ripto buy new and reicieve old OS FML.... someone help...
In at least some cases, the code in the body of the email unlocks an attached document which contains the actual redemption code. See if the email you received has an attachment, and if so open that and enter in the code from the email when requested.
If there was no attachment, contact Mac App Store Customer Service and let them know about the problem. They'll probably issue you a new code as they have for other people with the same issue.

Recently when purchasing free apps from store, I put in my password, then it takes me to my account to enter the security code for my card I do this and I have even re-entered the new card and it's still not accepting it.
Hence I cannot update or buy until I do this. The same thing happened with my daughters account and had to use her dads card.Please can someone help me. Try closing the Settings 'app' via the taskbar and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Settings app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Settings app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

48 Hours ago I started to upgrade to Mountain Lion on a now 10 day old IMac - 30 minutes ago I got the email with the content code and redeem code for the download from the app store - it said download was happening, but nothing happened for 30 min - HOW DO I (or you) FIX IT!?
This is a User's Forum, yelling at us won't help. You have 90 days of customer support via telephone. Use them as they can interact with their system and hopefully get you back on track. Otherwise take it to them at the Genius Bar and have them make it good.
