Lost the Mini, bot the Nano, but cannot convert!

Bot the new Nano for my 10 year old. The salespunk told me just to plug the nano in and get updates. That didn't work so I tried to delete all iTunes and iPod Mini programs, but it tells me command to delete the latest download is not allowed. I'm stuck with a 3 hour old Nano that won't let me do anything. ANy suggestions? Thansk in advance, preppneck
Also, when I try to open the iTunes icon on my desktop, it tells me there is an error and needs to close........

yes, try installing QuickTime standalone, not regular

The mini iTunes software may be too old for the nano, I'm not sure what you had before.
You're choosing SAVE, not RUN, right? Best not to run installaions over te internet.
Also, turn Norton off before installing, it really hates iTunes for some reason. Turn off any security software, for that matter, if you don't have Norton.

Regarding your first question about bookmarks, I think you discovered the answer in when you pressed the address bar. The second tab there has your bookmarks.
As for the keyboard, I'm not sure why your Firefox is reacting so slowly; mine seems to show keyboards even when I don't want them. If you have accumulated a lot of history, perhaps that's an issue?
Did you use any third party software to move your Firefox data from internal memory to the storage card?

if its anything like my Sony, theres a button top left corner that upon each press i get an audible bleep and the AV inputs come up on screen, i then cycle down to whichever input i wish to select!
in case your remote is different, the button on my remote has a square with a slightly smaller square just overlapping the first square.

At the bottom of the photo tray at the right click on the Clear Placed Photos button. This will remove the photos from the pages but not from the book.

I have a Mac on my home network and also a Systemline music server on same network. My PC was able to find the server but my MAC cannot. I can ping the server from the mac, but cannot actually connect . Also can't add the mac as a location from server

Thanks, Jim, for taking the time, but the reply is unfortunately vague in the exact area of my confusion! "you need to copy that file to your new computer..." Well, the Import/Export instructions make it seem as if the two computers should be able to communicate this file thru wifi, but that's the linkage I can't seem tocreate with Import/Export. Should I instead email a copy to myself (thats what applecare suggested)? Copy it to and from a thumb drive? But then place the file where? And the article was helpful, but should I be trying to move the Library file or the Library.xml file (as iTunes Help suggests)? Sorry to be so clueless about it...I suppose I buy Apple in the hopes of not having to think about this stuff, which approach seems not to be serving me well. Thanks again for your time!

In your case, it would be better to have transferred the library to an external drive from the PC. Then, connect it to the iMac and put the library onto the Music folder.
You used Migration Assistant, and it creates a new user with the transferred data.
Open  > Log Out, and log in the new user. Then, open a Finder window, choose Music in the sidebar and you will see the iTunes library. Now, you have to move the iTunes library to /Users/Shared (select Go menu -in the menu bar- > Go to Folder, type that and copy the iTunes library to it). Finally, log in the other user, go to the same folder and move the library to the Music folder.
After doing that, open System Preferences > Users and Groups, choose the user created by Migration Assistant and press the - button to remove it. This is easier if you have an external drive

See for yourself which version of ACR is needed for that camera’s RAW files

then check your version (Photoshop > About Plug-In > Camera Raw).
Your version of Photoshop does not support that version of ACR.
You could use the free DNG Converter.

You got ripped off. You bought a hacked/jailbroken phone. That's what error 1015 means. Return it and get your money back if possible and buy a phone from a legitimate source.
