LOST TWO GIG WORTH OF PHOTOS UPON UPLOAD

I'm using iPhoto version 7.1.1 and uploaded 1GB of photos onto my Mac, i then pressed eject and removed my SD card but a warning came out saying i had not ejected it. I plugged in my 2GB card and then ALL MY PHOTOS WERE WIPED OUT OF THE CARD, this is what it says:
The disk was not repairable by this computer. It is being made available to you with limited functionality. You must back up your data and reformat the disk as soon as possible.
PLEASE HELP ME! I am close to tears ):... scratch that. i am in tears.

Do NOT save anything else to the card or try to use the card in any way. This may cause you to overwrite the files. I had the same thing happen while on vacation last summer. I had used Data Rescue once before, but had an old version. I upgraded to the new version, and once again connected my camera to the computer. If you're trying to add a large amount of data all at once, and you get an alert of insufficient space, then from the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Time Machine
If the padlock icon is closed, click it to unlock the settings and authenticate. Turn Time Machine OFF, then back ON and close the preference pane. Restart the computer. Test.

I'd like to copy and paste a few Gigs worth of photos residing in iPhoto (ver. 5?) to a flash card - is there a simple way to do this w/o the issue of "duplicate" image numbers (when they are in fact unique images, but the translation is lost)... thx

Tried doing this a few yrs ago and it was maddening, the receiving flashcard (or desktop) kept flagging duplicate image numbers and my only choice to was to delete one or replace, when - because they are unique images - I wanted all of them to be saved on disk (is there a way to auto rename to prevent this)??? Just tried to export photos and kept getting messages that a certain photo was corrupt or some such thing and then it stopped and did not continue with export. Frustrating as I spent hours moving ~1200 photos into 2 folders on desktop. Tried doing a few at a time and one always stopped the entire export. Is there a way around this? I.e., program so it exports photos that work, does not export those that are damaged? Would be nice to know before the fact (in moving to folder) that photos have issues. I see. To get a better idea of what is being stored where please download and run the script iTunesInfo which should output something like this:
I'm interested in the block of 4 results starting ITL location. If your profile name shows up somewhere replace it with <Name>. It is also worth checking under Edit > Preferences > Advanced to see where iTunes thinks your media is supposed to go. My script estimates the setting based on the location of the first media file it can actually find.

I've just lost 8 years worth of iCal data. Does Apple still have the data? My HD died. My Mac mini will not support the new "Cloud" portal. Does anyone have any ideas how I can retrieve my data from Apple? Thanks

When you say "I can see all of my calendars", I'm assuming you mean in iCal, yes? If so, my two suggestions would be:
1) Go into Time Machine and go back to a date when you had all your calendar info, and restore the calendar from there.
Or ...
2) If you were using MobileMe, access your MobileMe account through your web browser, open the Calendar in there and see if there's any data in that calendar. If there is, you should be able to sync through Mobile Me, choosing let MobileMe overwrite the hard drive.
But I'd definitely try Time Machine first.

Re wifi:
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

No, but you can save a photo on FaceBook.
Try downloading/saving the video from FaceBook on your computer. If successful, after doing so you can transfer the video to your iPhone along with any photos on your computer or alone. They transfer won't be in the Camera Roll, it will be in your iPhone's Photo Library.

I've reread your question several times and am not sure I understand it.
Are you trying to basically start over, as if you just took your iPhone out of the box? If so, do:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings

On the Mac with the libraries you want to share:
iTunes Preferences click on the Sharing tab and put a tick in 'Share by library on local network'.
iPhoto Preferences click on Sharing and put a tick against 'Share my photos'.
When launching the same apps on other Macs on the network the libraries should be available, listed on the left.

I have clicked on it, selected “Stack” and all is now fine, with both versions of the photo readable by “unstacking”, using the side arrows !!

What does "I caught my phone 4" mean?
All contacts, calendars, photos etc should be on your computer as the iphone is designed to be synced to your computer.
Just sync them to your new iphone.
