Lost WAN Connection Three Times in Past Two Weeks

For the third time in the past two weeks, I had to call the support line and walk through the process of having my WAN connection reset after losing my connection to the Internet.  Restarting the router after waiting a minute does not resolve the issue.  I have to call and work with the automated system to have the loss of connection verified and then it is reset on Verizon's end.  This problem did not start until my speed match started.  There were two weeks between the first reset, but there have only been two days since the last reset.  Has anyone else experienced this issue?  Thanks in advance.

In general when you lose connection try to look at the link lights on the router and see if your losing the wan coax light. If you do then your losing coax physical connectivity.
If you have access to the main ont then instead of calling in you can reset it yourself. Some of them are easier to reset than others. Find the alarm silence reset and hold it down for fifteen seconds and make sure the lights drop

  • Apple has charged me 1 US $ three times in last two days.

    I changed my card information and Apple charged me 1 US $ three times in last two days. Why do they do this ? Will I ever get this back ? I have also heard on other forums that a lot of fraudlant charges take place with Apple ? Is it true ?
    I feel a bit unsafe providing my card details to Apple. Is it possible that Paypal can be used with Apple ? I would be happy to receive some information on this.

    Have you added or changed the credit card details on your account 3 times in the past two days ? If you have then each time you will have received a small temporary store holding charge to check that the card details are valid and that the card is active - they should disappear within a few days or so.

    The other day i deleted my email accounts off of my ipod and only reloaded a few of them. today i looked at my notes to look at a project i had typed on my notes because i didnt have paper and pen around to write it and i didnt want to froget. I reloaded the rest of my emails in hope that everything would reappear but sadly only some of them from 2010 loaded. Recently i had update some of the files and they were like they were when i first created them there were alos ones that i had deleted long ago. There are other notes i had made that were really important to me to andi wouldn't be able to remember every single one. Help Please!

    One more quick thing first. Hold the SHIFT key this time as you startup and see if that gets you any further (this is called 'Safe Mode' by the way). I'm not too confident that this will work in your case but it's worth a try. If it boots up, go into Disk Utility and repair permissions.
    If it doesn't, you're going to have to do an Archive & Install which will install a fresh copy of the OS over the top BUT keep all your users, files and apps in place.

  • Too much "Signal Faded; Call Was Lost" message for the past two weeks

    I am using Verizon Wireless mobile Samsung Alias 2 for a few months. For the past two weeks the amount of choppy call and 'Signal Faded Call Was Lost' issue is ascending alarming proportions.
    The *611 VZW customercare does not seem to have a good solution in hand to troubleshoot and/or take a report of the same.

    Did you try tech support, Option 3? To call them it is required that you call from another phone.
    Is the issue only in one location or all over? If just one small area it could be a tower issue and tech support can walk you through to determine which tower may be the culprit. (If you are able to call in from that area) If they don't, ask them to and get a ticket number.
    Also try calling *228 Option 1.
    Final option is to have them ship you a refurb  as the phone should still be unter warranty. Or you could try at a corporate store also to get a replacement.

    For the past two weeks I've been having major problems with my Z10. I started noticing that my Whatsapp messages were coming through, but not making a sound. I reset and set the notification settings again, but still no luck. I figured since it was a 3rd party app, I'd maybe need to reinstall it. But then I also noticed that my text messages weren't coming through. Then some of my notifications (Facebook, Text message, Whatsapp and email) started staying "unread" even after I'd read them and even marked them as read. In fact, in desperation I even deleted the one text message thread, but it was still showing in my HUB. When I clicked on it it just showed blank since there was no longer a message there, but it wouldn't "disappear" from the HUB. Also, emails come through, but there is no sound or unread notification and I only see them if I check through the "read" emails in the HUB. 
    The only thing that helps for this is when I restart my phone - then all my texts come through, notifications work fine and everything is dandy - for about half an hour, then the same thing starts happening. This is really annoying, because I have to restart my phone several times a day to make sure I don't miss important messages (which has happened during this time). 
    Last week I wiped my phone and restored an update from 2 weeks earlier (when the phone wasn't giving problems), but once again it only worked for an hour max, then it was back to the same old problems. 
    I'm really frustrated at the moment, because what good is a smart phone to me if all it can do is make and receive calls? The ONLY things working properly at the moment (as far as I'm aware) is BBM and making and receiving calls.

    First, try the normal stuff: power cycle your modem, router, and NE allowing time for each component to stabilize before turning on the next in sequence modem > router > NE. If necessary, try resetting your modem and router. If it still doesn’t work verify it is listed in MyVerizon and then calling Verizon Wireless Customer Service at (800) 922-0204. Good luck!

    Try closing the Camera/Skype app:
    1. Double-click the Home button to reveal the Task Bar
    2. Hold down the Camera/Skype app for a second or two until you see the minus sign
    3. Tap the minus sign to close app
    4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen
    If the above doesn't solve the problem, do a reset:
    Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider

    Every day for the past two weeks when I have come into work creative cloud tells me I need to download the new updates. The update always is the same thing, "CSXS Infastructure 4.0.2"
    Is this happening for everyone and it is a consistent ongoing update or is it downloading it but not actually updating the creative cloud?
