Lost YouTube Application

I didn't think it was possible to remove apps that we standard with the iPad, but I have somehow lost my YouTube app. Any idea how to get it back? I did a search and it does not come up anywhere on my iPad.

Hi, I lost YouTube on my iPad after installing ios6. I tried what you said but there is no YouTube listed in Restrictions. I did say not to add YouTube when I was asked because I already had it. So that seems to be the problem. I can not find a place to re-instate the app.

I lost my application folder!! I have tried dragging it from my hard drive but all I have left over is my skype. when i was trying to change the size of my screen's window i accidently picked up the applications folder and when i let go of my mouse it disappeared and now I cant get it back with everything in it. (front row, screen grab, etc)

First of all don't empty the Trash.
Second, it is unlikely the folder is gone, you just dragged it someplace else. Here is one easy way to find it:
Go to Spotlight and type in the name of one of the programs that you had in that folder. Click on the program when it finds it. When the program launches, click and hold its icon in the Dock until you get the pop up menu. Choose "options > show in Finder".
That will open the enclosing folder and select the program. While you are there drag the folder back to where you want it.

I've somehow lost the application folder which should be located in Finder - left hand side under Favorites. I can do a search and find a specific application located on the hard drive - so I haven't deleted them. But I want the Application folder with the different applications back in Finder. I'm kind of hesitant about starting a search in areas I know nothing about. Can anyone help?

The sidebar in a Finder window can be easily modified, so it's possible that the Applications folder may have been accidentally dragged out of it. You should be able to drag it back on from its current location (Macintosh HD > Applications), as outlined in the following article:

You can redownload you previously purchased apps for free as long as they are still available in the app store. Be sure you are logged into the Apple ID in iTunes used to purchase them, then follow this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.

Slow WI-FI transfer using native YouTube application on the iPhone 3G

I have seen several posts similar to the one that I'm making now, but since my newest discovery brings a small twist to the issue when compared to the other cases, I decided to make a new thread.
My issue is with the native YouTube application for the iPhone 3G, as it is mysteriously slow. A lot of people mention that lowering the router to B/G standards will remedy the issue. However, I do not think this issue is related to this because when I launch Safari on the iPhone and go to apple.com/trailers the speed is lightning fast. I did some WI-FI comparison testing:
PC: XP Pro SP3 running all drivers at newest releases incl. updating motherboard firmware.
iPhone 3G: Firmware v2.1
Connection: 10 Mbit/2 Mbit
Safari cookies, history, and cache cleared after each attempt on both iPhone and PC. Also, I closed Safari, ran CCleaner (just to make sure all temporary data was gone), and reopened Safari on the PC while Powercycling the iPhone 3G between each attempt.

Length: 1 min. 45 sec.
Load time on PC using Safari: roughly 25 sec.
Load time on iPhone using Safari: roughly 4 (FOUR!) min. 30 sec.
After this I directed Safari on both iPhone and PC at:

Length: 1 min. 38 sec.
Load time on PC using Safari: roughly 5 sec. (for the small size as iPhone format does not seem to be available when browsing with a PC)
Load time on iPhone using Safari: Roughly 10 sec.
I do not know what is going on here. Do the size and/or compression of the two movie formats differ so much from each other that this could explain the normal transfer speed via apple.com/trailers? Or is there an issue with the YouTube application? Maybe the YouTube conversion system? Could it be a routing and/or hardware (on either ISP, ISP carrier or YouTube itself) issue in case there are "localized portals" for YouTube depending on the user's geographical location?
In general, speed is not an issue. Performing speed tests towards a localized server in Denmark using my iPhone give excellent results compared to the connection speed I am paying for, and I do not have issues surfing elsewhere via the iPhone. It is only when I use the native YouTube application on iPhone 3G that my transfer rates are poor.
I really want to solve this problem before I go nuts...

About a week ago YouTube stopped connecting on my iPhone 3G -- as far as I know nothing changed on my end. The YouTube application seems to function normally, bookmarked videos are still there and play, for example, but it will not update, not search, etc. I get a message that YouTube is not available.

I upgraded my OS to Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits and My Audigy SE lost its applications, such as Graphic Equalizer, Surround Mixer, Speaker Settings and etc. The OS does not recognize these functions when I try to open them. I installed all the drivers available for Windows 7 and I just have a very basic adjust and that?s it. The sound card is also crashing my OS. I had to uninstall it and remove the sound card. And I work with these features, so I had to go back to my old rig with XP.
Now I wonder? Windows advisor said that my Audigy was ok to run in Windows 7. What is happening and what can I do to have the equalizer and the whole thing working properly? Does this happen with all models? Creative doesn?t have a real Windows 7 compatible sound card? They just run with a basic setup fix?

The Audigy budget line (SE/LS/Value) do have the EAX Console! These card are the only Audigy card with the EAX Console, if my information is correct. Got my info from:

In that review, the reviewer is saying that he likes the EAX Console with the Audigy SE card, and also mentions that he runs Windows 7 when making the review....So, it looks like these card do have the full EAX Console, if the screenshot is correct.
What may be the problem is that you downloaded the latest version of the driver. In the README of the latest, there is no reference to the EAX Console application, BUT the previous onse DOES!!

5800 YouTube application - how can I get the origi...

When I got my original 5800 from Orange it had a YouTube application pre-installed. As far as I remember it worked fine after a bit of fiddling around.
I just got a replacement 5800 and there is no YouTube application on it.
I have tried to download several different YouTube applications but none of them seem to work like the one I had - as I remember, it would go full screen as soon as a video started playing.
I've tried following the links from Nokia to YouTube to YouTube Mobile but it says to go to this page on my mobile:
m.uk.youtube.com/app
There I get a 404 error.
Can anybody please help me get the original application back?

HTTP error 404 means "page not found". You have to asy YouTube about that if they're linking toa page that no longer exists.

You do not have to repurchases apps, but you should transfer them to your computer, so that you do not need to re-download them.

I'm not sure how this is an iTunes issue, but anyway, other than buying the apps from the Mac App Store (note that iDVD and iWeb are not available via the App Store), the only alternative is to call Apple support and give them the serial number of your Mac. They can usually sell you a new disk set for a reasonable fee.

Before resetting try restarting. Or you can go to Settings from the home screen > Wi-Fi > your network and scroll down to 'Renew Lease' and press that. When you do you should see a button labeled 'Renew Lease?' and another labeled 'Cancel'. Select 'Renew Lease'.
You can either back out of that screen back to the home screen or just use the return button to go back to the home screen. Then select Safari and see if you can hook in.
I have to go through that process every five or ten minutes or so when in the second story of our house - weak router signal up there.

Lost all application and file icons and more

Today i discovered that for some reason i could not drag files around on the desktop or moving them between folders. I used restarted the mac - nothing changed. I used OnyX to run all the maintenance tasks, repair prefs, clean caches, optimize system, etc... Onyx asked for system restart - which i did and now i have more problems than before.
after restart all the files on my desktop lost the application associations (ie icon changed from PDF icon to blank paper with folded corner). I opened the Applications folder to find that all the applications lost their correct icons and are now represented by a blue folder - all native osx applications, mail, safari, etc... as well as third-party apps. the only one that kept its icon correctly was Adobe Acrobat 7.0.
Dock lost all it's correct application icons and now just show folders and some gray question marks. Finder and Trash bin still have correct icons. Everything else is wrong. Question marked apps won;t open from dock... (these are mail, safari, and sherlock)
If i click on an application from applications folder (safari for example) it opens fine and does what it is supposed to do. Most other apps seem to still function.
Also stil have problem that files still could not be dragged around or moved around in Finder.
I'm running 10.2.8 on a G4 1.25dp tower that has been very stable for a long time. I have no idea what happened or how to fix.

I gave up fighting to figure out what was wrong with OS X. I just repartitioned the harddrive after backing up and re-installed the OS an applications.

I've lost my applications folder. I think I picked it up by accident and put it in the trash. But was unable to recover it. I've tried taking the applicaions folder from finder and that works to the point that it puts a shortcut on the desktop. But I want my applications folder returned to it's former glory with the A on it and in the dock. Help

You should update your profile to indicate what version of Mac OS X you are currently running.
And this is an OS question, not an iMac question.
Have you tried dragging the Applications folder to the Dock? It has to be dragged to the right side of the dividing line between individual applications on the left and folders/trash on the right.

Backup you library and restore to the new computer.
iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive
or
iTunes: How to move your music to a new computer
- After all the media is on the new computer connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking one the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup
Note that the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music.

Did you know that there is the new YouTube app available? If you upgrade it iOS 7 the video streaming is smooth and non lag. In iOS 6 the app is buggy. Apple removed the YouTube client because Apple wanted you to download the app yourself, as an optional choice, which is good. Another reason is in countries like China, the client would just waste storage. There are also other great YouTube clients out available.
