Lost YouTube in io6 update

Did you know that there is the new YouTube app available? If you upgrade it iOS 7 the video streaming is smooth and non lag. In iOS 6 the app is buggy. Apple removed the YouTube client because Apple wanted you to download the app yourself, as an optional choice, which is good. Another reason is in countries like China, the client would just waste storage. There are also other great YouTube clients out available.

Youtube is no longer integrated with iOS. You can download the app fromt he app store.. it's designed for iPhone... but states that it works with iPad.
As for running slow... trying holding down the power and home button at the same time for 10 seconds to do a hard reset.
Also.. if you double tap your home button it will bring up a small window across the bottom of your screen... this is called the multitasker.
Hold your finger one of the apps til they jiggle... then tap the red minus button to kill the app. If you kill them all this should help your ipad run alot faster.

Is there a way to recover the youtube favorites?
Did not backup. No Timewarp setup. Bookmark file exist, but other favorites still there, but all youtube favorites are missing from Bookmark bar.

To restore from backup, follow the following steps:
Right-click your iPhone in the "Devices" tab in the left-hand pane and choose "Restore from Backup".

now i need to know what this add -on name or how to get it back

Add-ons are not auto-deleted as far as I know...
It's possible that the extension or userscript simply doesn't work correctly in Firefox 22 due to a change in Firefox. If you look at the add-on pages, often the reviews will mention whether the add-on is broken in a new release.

Io6 update deleted my mobileme account and all my emails and won't let me add it again. Does anyone know if there is a way?

I updated my iPhone 3GS with the new IO6 update last night and when it rebooted, my mobileme email account had been deleted along with all of my emails. I am unable to add the account again despite copying the settings on my ipad. There must be a way to get it back? I hope? Does anyone have any ideas?
I am using incoming mail server: mail.me.com this seems to be the problem as it will send emails using the smtp.me.com server.
I have also tried imap.mail.me.com, and smtp.me.com and mail.icloud.com and smtp.me.com Nothing seems to work but it could be something simple I've overlooked? Help would be much appreciated... any method of getting the emails to my iPhone would be fine by me.

No longer receiving emails after iO6 update??

I did the iO6 update the other day, I had problems straight away with all my messaging shortcuts not working. To resolve that I had to turn off documents and data in iCloud.
Now I am no longer getting notified when I have an email. If I go into my mail and refresh it myself I receive about 6 spread across my 2 hotmail accounts. I've tried turning off push, then my phone, and turning both back on but it still doesn't work. Even turned the retrieving mail time down to 15mins and it still doesn't work!
Thought this update was meant to be brilliant?
Any help people? I don't want to be constantly checking my mail for emails when it's a smartphone and its meant to do it itself!

The same thing happened to me...I bought an i5 and restored from backup (i had upgraded my i4 to ios6 prior). now a few of my accounts are no longer working. i thought a backup would create an exact mirror of what was backed up...but i had to reenter passwords for some accounts and some accounts don't even work even though i know the password!
just now i read about some battery flaw on the i5 and ios6 and so i manually deleted, hard rebooted, and then re-added all of my accounts back and there was some blip with gmail so that it kept telling me that my user name or password was incorrect when in fact it was correct.

iTunes does not have provision for automatically storing one kind of media on a separate drive, so you have some basic decisions to make first. Do you want these movies to still appear in your iTunes library, or are you content with browsing filenames on a drive in Finder when you want to look for one? The second's the easiest thing because then you don't have to have an external drive permanently turned on and attached to your computer (wired or wireless). To do that you literelly only need to drag your movies folder to an archive drive and delete movies from iTunes. To watch them again you can add it back to iTunes while holding down the option key so the movie is used from its location on the external drive.
There's ways to move the movies to an external drive while keeping them in iTunes but the external drive iwll always have to be turned on and connected to the computer or you will see a bunch of broken link exclamation marks.
Realize what you are talking about is not "backup". Backup (which you should do) is putting a second or more copy of items on external drives for the day when your internal drive fails and everything on it is lost, inclduing all your home photos and perhaps things that have been pulled from the iTunes Store and can no longer be re-downloaded.

If you haven't backup up your phone, then your photos are gone.
In addition you should import your photos to your PC, just like a ditigal camera, as a secondary backup in case you lose your pics you could always sync it back using Itunes.

it could be that youll have to delete and reeneter your email onto it.
go to settings>mail,contacts,calanders>tap on your email.
scroll all the way down. tap the big red delete button.
go back into mail contacts and calanders and tap on add account and re add it.

Has anyone else lost Garageband in Yosemite Update?

I recently seemed to have lost Garageband in recent update. Garageband came with ilife 09' when I purchased my macbook. It's something I always had and enjoyed using. Now all of a sudden it's gone along with iphoto and the rest of my ilife apps. Please help!

You can redownload it from your Purchases page of the App Store provided you first purchased it there. If not, then you can restore it from the DVD that came with your iLife boxed set.

Go to iTunes, click on Apps in the left window, to bring up your app library. Then click on "check for updates" in the right window, bottom corner. If there are any updates available, you'll be notified of the number and you'll have to choose the apps you want to update in the next screen shown, or update them all at once after filling in your password.
You can also click on one app in the library and choose "get info" to see the actual version saved in your library.

     As far as using the bridge mode method you'd need to see what CLJDOhas to say, as that user is the only one that I see in this thread who used this method. The method that worked for me is different. I went out and bought a new modem. This made the most sense to me since the firmware in the unit that comcast gave me had issues and I am paying to rent the thing, I figured that I'll save some money if I just buy my own.
     I ended up purchasing a motorola SURFboard eXtreme (model SB6121) for $70 (happened to be on sale) from my local Target. For another $7 I was able to secure a 2yr warranty against failure, which was my only hesitation in buying vs renting.
     This modem should work just fine for you since you are a comcast customer. If you decide to go with a different modem, the important thing is to make sure that you purchase a modem that is compatible with the technology that your ISP (in this case comcast) uses. Also DOCSIS 3.0 is the "flavor" of cable modem you want as it will give you better performace than DOCSIS 2.0 devices (such as an older Motorola SURFboard).
     Once you buy the modem you will have to call comcast and have them add the modem to your account. They'll ask for the MAC address of the modem, then send a re-set signal to it, so make sure you are home when you call and can connect/disconnect the modem as needed. After your modem is added to your account and up and running you can then connect your new AirPort Express to the modem (via ethernet cable) and you should be all set!

Lost display brightness - security update 7.0.6

2/24/2014 Just updated iPhone 5 with latest security update and display lost full brightness after update. Difficult to see and read screen in bright daylight. Contacted Tech support, checked for auto brightness control, yes functions, but phone lost full brightness after update.
Glitch occurred on 3 different iPhone 5s. Any suggestions as restoring to old opsys, not possible?
