On your iPhone, go to settings> "mail contacts and calendars" and scroll down to the contacts section. Tap on "default account" and check what your default account is. change it to "on my iPhone" or "iCloud".
If there are other accounts (such as Hotmail, gmail, etc) included in that list, check the contacts section on the respective website.
A possible explanation for your issue is that (for instance) you once had gmail listed there, and all your contacts were syncing to gmail servers. You may have then added a different account which listed itself as the default contact syncing server, replacing the original information with what is on the new server (nothing)
If you have an exchange server listed, then you might want to have a talk with your works it department...

My daughter got the Find My iPhone app on her iPhone 3GS and all of her contacts moved into my contacts on my iPhone 4S. She got all of mine also and deleted all of the contacts that were not hers. Welcome to the Apple Community.
Without a backup, you will not be able to recover deleted contacts. You need to set up a separate iCloud account for your daughter, so you can keep your mail, contacts, calendars etc separate.

If it isn't on silent the speakers may have blown, if you live in the UK, you can visit the nearest apple shop and they should do a direct swap, you can also try this in other countries however I am not certain they will swap it.

If it was a video taken on your iPad, and if you have it backed up from the last time you did an iTunes (or iCloud) backup, then yes, you can restore your iPad using that backup.

You cannot delete it.
It is likely i a folder, or on another page.
If you do not find it, then you can reset the home screen layout.

Whoa whoa no need to go restoring stuff yet, once you've done that check to verify you have done what Overlook2011 IF that doesn't work for calendars ensure your default account for calendars is set to iCloud and in calendars that it is told to "Show all calendars"

When I updated my iPhone 3GS to i06, my contacts were messed up. Some of my contacts were lost, and one of my contacts which I had two numbers for, a new one and an old number, now only has one number and it is the old one. So, will I get my original contacts back if I choose the "Delete from my iPhone" choice?

Regarding the first question:
- The contacts on my iPhone right now, due to the connection with iCloud, are numbers that came from the iCloud account (which, unfortunately is my husband's account - I didn't realize it). Although we have some of the same people on our contacts, his, of course, contains his business contacts as well. Before the connection, my contacts were my social contacts and my business contacts. It looks like that not all my contacts from before the iCloud connection are there as some are missing and all of them have missing punctuation marks. All my photos that were on the contacts of the people are missing as well.
- I will have to check and see if my contacts are on the iCloud account also. Haven't checked that yet.
By the way, this all happened when I loaded the i06 update. That's when it asked me if I wanted to store it on iCloud. And when I clicked on it, everything changed on my contacts.

I also have this problem though it only seems to affect my iPod Nano (6th gen). It does not seem to affect my iPhone (though now as I type this, I better confirm that as I haven't manually managed podcasts on my iPhone since the last iTunes updates). I have iTunes set to "manually manage music and videos" (just like OP, I'd rather manage music and videos myself rather than construct playlists and have iTunes sync them), and under the "Podcasts" tab on my nano, I do not have "Sync Podcasts" checked.

What do you mean by " other contact has deleted"?
If they were on your iPod and you backed up then and not backed up after they deleted then restoring from backup may restore those messages. You would have to check with BB/go to their support site

Under "contacts" "Groups" I have the "All Contacts" option at the top, underneath that i have 3 empty subfolders that have come in from my PC Outlook program. No, the app doesn't use Safari. The app is AutoDesk Inventor Publisher Viewer. I think there is a way that you can have a publish Inventor file, and if you create a correctly formatted hyperlink, you can click on it and it will immediately open the file in the viewer.
I know that if you offer the file as a standard download, iOS will ask whether you want to open it with Inventor Pub. Viewer or save it to another app that can accept files. I would prefer to skip the prompt, and just open the viewer.
I've heard mention that this can be done with this application, but I can't find reference material anywhere.

If it's not on icloud.com any longer you can't restore it from iCloud. (Contacts are only synced to your iCloud account, and are not included in the iCloud backup.)
