Lots of cabinets appearing in my village (Blackbur...

Over the past few days, I've noticed 3 cabinets appearing a short distance apart from each other, near the telephone cabinets that are already there.
The exchange I'm connected to in Bathgate was activate for infinity a few months ago.
I checked on the infinity checker and it says I can't get it with my postcode. I tried some postcodes around about and they can't get it either. I also managed to find a cabinet checker & it says I'm not part of any plans or something along those lines.
Does anyone know of an up to cdate cabinet checker as the one I saw was from last Christmas time?
Also, once the cabinets have been fitted, how long until Infinity is actually available?

As long as the cabinet you're connected to goes active on the 30th September, you should be able to place an order from that date onwards. WBC stands for Wholesale Broadband Connect - there's a good write-up about it here.

the zip folder lists download instructions in different languages. it doesn't have the option of setup.exe.

Sometimes Firefox will attempt to open a link numerous times if it is a type that normally cannot be displayed in Firefox but which has somehow become assigned to Firefox, for example, by choosing Firefox in the Open/Save/Cancel dialog for a download.
To see whether this is the problem, you can reset your preferred download handlers by renaming a settings file. Here's how:
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either of the following:

Lots of Icons appear on my T60 Desktop after Lenovo updates

I've been making updates for first time to my T60 laptop--some directly from Lenovo website and some by using ThinkVantage tool (which I also just updated!). And it seems that with each update, or some of them, the Desktop becomes cluttered with icons. They appear related to the updates.
And you can only imagine how many updates have been made if I haven't made any in years for the T60.
Is it okay and safe to delete the icons from desktop? I don't want to remove the actual updates from my system, though.
But these are really cluttering the desktop.

Speed Continually drops until I unplug and replug ...

I live in rural East Yorkshire and generally get a maximum speed of 2.5 to 3.5 mb/s. However over the last few months the speed drops down to 0.3 to 0 mb/s after being connected for any length of time. The only solution I have found is to unplug the telephone line, wait about 30 seconds and plug in again. I wll then be restored to a reasonable speed. This may last for an hour to about half a day before the speed drops to an unusable low. restarting the Home Hub (V3) often does not have the same effect (unless the red light indicates no broadband at all (which happens once or twice a week). I then need to restart the hub to get broadband back, and then pull out the cable and replug to get back to 'normal' speed. This has now got very frustrating and as my wife marks exams online we need to get this sorted before exam season starts in earnest at the end of May. I've delayed sorting it as a Fibre Cabinet appeared on the village green around 3 months ago, but it still hasn't been enabled!

It is the same whether in the master socket, test socket or extension. Changing the microfilter has no effect. I would be grateful for any help with this issue.

Hi and thanks for replying. I've left it connected to the test soclket for a couple of days. All was well at first, with no dropouts. Now its's suddenly the same from the test socket again. Here are the stats.
As you can see it's pretty dreadful at times. Unplugging the asdl cable remedies the situation in the short term and the whole thing starts over again. I realise unplugging is not the best thing but I've virtually lost service at these times and can't think of any alternative to this at present. I'd be grateful for suggestions for fixing this problem.

New lot not appearing in qa32 - v urgent

Hi all,
I have an urgent issue to resolve. we have developed a report that shows those batches
-for which UD has been done 8 days before but no despatch till date OR
-for which no UD has been done and date of production is 8 days before from today.
User wants that a new lot for above batches should appear for UD again in qa32.
For this i have defined procedure as:
1. Run REPORT Which will identify batches older than 8 days (from the days of production or last UD date).
2.Go to QA07 Enter material codes, Batch numbers, and plant and select the option of Block Batch at lot creation.This will transfer all the mentioned batches to blocked stock and create an inspection lot automatically.simultaneously an inspection lot will start appearing in transaction QA32, against this batch for inspection.
Now the issue is that after QA07, I can see in mb52 that stock of the batch move to restricted, but no inspection lot appears in qa32. a new inspection lot should appear in qa32.
any ideas ? have i missed anything? i have also done changes in inspection plan,
cant figure out what i missed. pls respond.

Let me simplify my question:
i have some batches in system for which UD had been done 8 days
before but no despatch has been done against those batches.User
want to give UD again for those batches.
what i advised him to change the inspection plan of those
materials by putting '9' in 'usage' and '4'in 'status' fields in
qp01 and then go to qa07 and enter material codes, Batch
numbers, and plant and select the option of Block Batch at lot
creation.The batches automatically transferred to blocked stock.
Now the issue is that after batches transferrence to block stock,
new lot should appear in qa32 but its not appearing.any ideas??

[QM] How to create an inspection lot with task list assigned?

Hello, everyone.
I know, the similar questions have been asked plenty of times, but I am still unable to find a suitable receipe of the inspection lot creation. My goal is to create an inspection lot programmatically and be able to record its results using, e.g., BAPI_INSPOPER_RECORDRESULTS.
Creating a lot does not appear to be a big problem. I just call the following FMs:
QPL1_INITIALIZE
QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE
QPL1_UPDATE_MEMORY
QPL1_INSPECTION_LOTS_POSTING
BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT
As a result, I have a new shiny inspectin lot, but it comes with statuses "CRTD" and "CHCR". I do specify PLNAL and PLNNR fields values for the QALS structure which is passed to QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE, but that does not seem to have any effect. When I call BAPI_INSPOPER_RECORDRESULTS later (result values and inspection points come from another lot which is used as a template), it reports of beging unable to find characteristics for the inspection operations (error E026).
Does anyone know which of the QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE parameters affect task list assignment besides PLNAL and PLNR? Or maybe there is a special FM which associates a task list with an inspection lot?

You can get create an Agent as a Task by using the following steps:
1. Go to Customizing --> EHS --> Industrial Hygiene & safety --> Risk Assessment --> Specify Agent Types
2. Click on "TASK' Agent type and click on Details icon (CtrlShiftF2)
3. In the "Only EHS-IHS" drop down, Select "No"
4. Save the entry
5. Now try creating an Agent [CBIH92] and you can create an Agent as a Task.

Cmd window appears when running sqldeveloper.exe for some users

All,
I'm wondering why a cmd window appears when I double click the sqldeveloper.exe executable?
This is a Windows 2008 server.
Also, when the user that installed SQL Developer runs it, the cmd window has no text in it but when other users are logged into the server and run the same executable, they have a lot of messages appearing in the cmd window similar to:
at org.apache.log4j.xml.DOMConfigurator.doConfigure<DOMConfigurator.java:616)
What I'd like to do is NOT have any cmd window appear when the users run sqldeveloper.exe

There are two sqldeveloper.exe files. The one in the root of the sqldeveloper installation folder doesn't produce a console; the one in <sqldev>\sqldevloper\bin does.

JLabel do not Appear On JPanel

Help! PPl I am upto my eyes in this problem and I cannot solve it.
I have a JFrame with BorderLayout on which I have 2 JPanels.The JPanel on the SOUTH of borderLayout is called secPanel and the one at the CENTER is called newPanel.
On newPanel I am basically trying to make a lot of squares appear some should be whit and some black which is based on a random calculation. I have put in a lot of time on this and it worked on the first go and now it does not seem to work after I changed some code which I cannot recall what I did wrong. Now all the calculcations work out fine and everything only the squares which are really JLabels with a single space character in them are not displayed . There seems to be some problem in getting the label to display at the proper location on the JPanel cos I just wrote short code in which I pasted a JLabel and one instance of my class aSquare here renamed to Alab .
the label get displayed at the proper location but the instance of class Alab does not . I went through the code line by line but I cannot understand it at all.. U have been very kind and patient.. can u gimme a hand with this one...

Sr. No. is generated after confirmation of sales order.
The production order is released & the inprocess inspection lot is generated. Production order quantity is 20.
Now the question is:
1. Why the inspection lot quantity always appears as '1'.
2. If in inspection setup, sr. no. possible is checked, then why (or how) sr no.s can be seen automatically during result recording (inspection unit number) field.

I'm having problems with a VPN between a Cisco PIX 501 and a Fortinet. It was working 2 days ago but now it doesn't come up. When executing the sh crypto isakmp sa command, a lot of proposals appear for the same VPN, with same source and destination with MM_NO_STATE

How Do I Request A New Cabinet To Be Installed?

Hello Everybody!
Long story short, I'm getting FTTC this month and I have found out the my uplift will be 2.49. With my download speed reaching a maximum of 0.23Mbps, it has been figured out that my MAXIMUM download speed when I recieve FTTC will be 0.5727Mbps.
This is obviously extremely slow for aa FTTC service and according to BT, they will not accept me as a BT Infinity customer due how slow it will be.
BT said that the upift was calculated by the distance from your house to the cabinet.
To my knowledge (as there is no map of BT cabinets), there is 1 cabinet in the central part of the village, 1 on the a road that leads towards the village and 1 on the outskirts (according to people in my village - not certain though).Unlike most areas in the UK, there is not a cabinet on the end of each street.
I live approximately 643 Metres (according to Google maps who say it is 0.4 Miles) away from the cabinet, and some people are even further away from it!
Is it possible (especially with the FTTC being installed soon) to have a new cabinet installed in my village?

Infinity cabinet gone in - Any ideas of the time '...

Hey there.
I've been actively awaiting BT Infinity for a while now, as I can't get more than 3.5 meg where I live currently. Luckily, I saw the box begin to be installed, and it now appears to be in place, with tarmac covering the wiring to the service manholes in the ground. I haven't seen much going on since, OpenReach vans have turned up, but I can't tell what they're doing the whole time.
Does anyone have an idea of when the box may be ready for action, from their own experience, or just what people have been saying in general?
I presume it's likely going to be in the Christmasy time, but it'd be nice if it was earlier xD Or if someone can warn me it's going to be later.

Canon 6d needs lots of luminance noise reduction at all ISO settings

Hi all,
I've been trying out LR 5.4 with a new Canon 6d. I've noticed a lot of what appears to be luminance noise even with photos taken at ISO 100, this requires the "Luminance" slider in the "Noise Reduction" develop setting to be at around 80 to remove. This seems extremely high for ISO 100 photos with shutter at 1/1000 and obviously good light, I wouldn't expect to have to use any NR in this situation. Oddly, pretty much the same level of luminance NR will also clean up high ISO photos, I'd have expected to need a lot more NR on high ISO photos. Some sharpening is then required as usual.
The luminance setting of around 80 gives the photos a similar look to those from the out of camera jpeg, or the cr2 file processed in DPP.
Has anyone else observed this when processing raw file from a Canon 6d in LR? Or maybe there's a setting somewhere that I've missed?

Thank you for replying. Hopefully there are some images attached to this post, it's the first time I've posted here...
The shots are of an area of very clear sky with the stalk of a plant in the foreground.. There is a 1:1 compare of the LR default import (right) compared to my luminance and sharpening adjustments (left). There's also a 2:1 compare to show the noise a little better. I've added a shot of the detail panel with my adjustments.
