Lots of Error

I got this problem since I brought my computer early this year.
I tried to install iTunes and I discovered on the "Choose Destination Location" page, there is no default install folder.
By right, under the "Destination Folder" there should be something like this: "C:\Program Files\iTunes". But for my case, it is blank.
I clicked next and it comes to a page "Born to be together. iTunes and iPod.". I clicked next again and I got this error:
Error 1606. Could not access network location \.
Retrying doesn't help and when I clicked cancel, I got this:
Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation.
Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information.
After that I tried entering : "C:\Program Files\iTunes" under the "Destination Folder". I clicked next... when it install, I got this error:
Error Number: 0x80040707
Description: Dll function call crashed: ISRT.VerGetFileVersion
Setup will now terminate
When I clicked next, I got this:
Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation.
Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information.
After everything, iTunes still won't install and I cannot use the iPod. I am very tired of figuring this out. Can someone please help, thank you!!
Details:
1) I was able to use the standalone Quicktime Player.
2) I have iTunes version 4 on my computer but it has been uninstalled.

I suspect that previous owner of this device may well have carried out a three key depressed power on "hard reset" to delete existing user data from it, which can also remove certain key certificates from device. I am surprised that you have found an N8 runing upon Symbian Anna and not Belle or Belle Refresh and hope that this device has not been downgraded back to Anna at some point along the way.
As adrianhughes points out a visit to Nokia Care facility is now needed to re-furbish this device http://nokia.com/support which may reveal some of it's past life.

I have tried all the usual tests and had the router plugged into the master socket for 14 days at one point but there was no improvement.

Well, if you want or need help, it would be a good idea to start with telling us what those errors are.  We're not mind readers.

  • [partially solved] Root mounted as read-only, lots of errors

I started my laptop without the power cord, and the boot stopped at several steps. I could continue the boot with pressing the power button for a second. XFCE booted fine, but some things were broken. Then I rebooted, and I cannot boot to xfce anymore at all (with or without power cord), since the root is mounted as read-only, and other partitions are not mounted at all. I didn't change my system at all so it is difficult to fix the problem. Now when I boot I just get lots of errors due to the read-only root partition. Fstab should be okay since it worked before, and has not been modified in months.

It seems that laptop-mode remounted the partitions as read-only, because of bug in laptop-mode(?). I disabled that daemon, and now boot works. After that I can boot normally even with laptop-mode daemon, but now I'm afraid of booting without the power cord as that can break the system..

  • Connection drop outs & lots of errors reported

    Hello,
I've been having countless issues with my broadband connection dropping 4 or 5 times a day at least for about the last 12 months. A BT engineer visited my property earlier this year as a result of problem (Which I assumed to be my homehub 2.0 at the time), the engineer said that there were lots of errors reported on the line and as far as I'm aware he replaced a section of the cable from the road to my house but there has been no improvement (If anything it's actually worse now).
I was sent out the BT Homehub 3.0 believing that it could possibly be my Homehub 2.0 that was failing but I found that was even worse than the old Hub 2.0.
I've tried contacting the broadband technical department a few times this week but was told by the automated service that BT were experiencing "major technical problems" and to call back at a later time.
I'm at a loss as to what the problem could actually be now, (I've had the line checked, taken the cover off the openreach facia and plugged directly into the socket, changed filters countless times and even tried multiple hubs from both BT and bought a Netgear router but no change).
So I'm left posting a message in here to see if someone can once and for all sort my broadband gremlins out .
I've posted some stats reported from my hub as of 1pm on the 14/10/11 :
    ADSL line status
    Connection information
    Line state
    Connected
    Connection time
    0 days, 8:22:32
    Downstream
    2,799 Kbps
    Upstream
    859 Kbps
    ADSL settings
    VPI/VCI
    0/38
    Type
    PPPoA
    Modulation
    ITU-T G.992.3
    Latency type
    Interleaved
    Noise margin (Down/Up)
    5.3 dB / 6.6 dB
    Line attenuation (Down/Up)
    55.0 dB / 35.7 dB
    Output power (Down/Up)
    0.0 dBm / 12.8 dBm
    Loss of Framing (Local)
    22
    Loss of Signal (Local)
    2
    Loss of Power (Local)
    0
    FEC Errors (Down/Up)

    CRC Errors (Down/Up)
    706 / N/A
    HEC Errors (Down/Up)
    N/A / 0
    Error Seconds (Local)
    1175

Its not the speed that is the issue(even though that's not great), It's the drop outs which are becoming more and more frequent and a lot worse since the engineer visited to replace a section of my line.
For what I need the internet for its starting to become a burden rather than a help.
Here are the BT speedtest results anyhow :
Download speedachieved during the test was - 2250 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 1200-4000 Kbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 2469 Kbps

  • ITunes 9.2: Lots of errors

I've recently downloaded and installed iTunes 9.2, but there are lots of errors. The executables MobileBackup, MDCrashReportTool, MobileDeviceHelper and Upgradedb crash on the way to iTunes.
I have an iPhone 3GS and Windows XP Professional.
Well, i'm trying to upgrade the OS of my iPhone to the iOS4, but iTunes runs MobileBackup, it crashes; then iTunes warns me and tries to report - MDCrashReportTool crashes. Not being able to back up my 3GS, iTunes aborts the upgrade process and I can't upgrade my OS.
I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes about 3 times, restarted my PC, "erased" my iTunes library (by renaming the iTunes folder), but nothing.
    What can I do?

From Chile. Today i've fixed the problem of this issue. The solution was.
1° Uninstall Itunes, Apple Device Helper and all Apple product from Control Panel > Software Management.
2° Rename the folders (or save in another folder) located in Documents & Settings > User > Aplication Data > Apple. User is your personal user and "all users".
    Download Itunes.
    Reinstall the software.
    And it works.
Also, before and i dont know if this was part of the solution, i've searched sqlite3.dll and the one located in folder apple device manager don't delete. Copy and paste in the another location (in my case ma-config)
Hope this can resolve this problem.

  • Lots of errors in activitymonitor

    Hi,
the first thing i have noticed was that Photoshop was unable tu quit. To find out why i have a look at activitymonitor. There i see two things. The first one: if i start photoshop or another CS4-program, a second program called adobecrashdaemon will start just a moment later.
second one: if i make a double-click on every task shown in activitymonitor and change the window to statistiks, there are always a lot of errors.
So i do the following things: run techtoolpro 5: no problems with the hardware
Ok i thougt, its a softwareproblem. I save my documents, and make a clean install (erase and install).
But the problems are still there.
My questions are now: it is normal that the adobecrashdaemon is running always?
it is normal that the activitymonitor shows a lot of errors?
    What can i do?
    iMac 2.8 GHz, 24, 4 GB RAM, 10.5.8, CS4

"...My questions are now: it is normal that the adobecrashdaemon is running always?..."
When you launch Photoshop it should run. Your issues appear to be with a third party software. You can try posting in the Adobe forums. Do you have these issues with other applications?

  • Lots of errors loading the C++ Coherence.dll

    Hi,
I'm using the Coherence C++ interface in my project and i'm having some problems with the DLL loading. I have a plugin DLL which statically links to Coherence.DLL, I load this from an app so Coherence is being loaded consequentially in the call to LoadLibrary for my plugin. During the call I see a lot of errors:
Invalid parameter passed to C runtime function
The program seems to run ok and I can read/write the cache but when the plugin DLL is unloaded I run into an Access Violation. I can't be sure that the Access Violation is a direct result of this but it seems likely.
Is this anything anyone has seen before?
    Thanks,
    Jamie

This is the output from Depends when I run the app. You can see the errors as the DLL loads.

  • Lots of errors for some computers bound to open directory

Once in a while we get a lot of errors in our logs related to a computer bound to open directory. Could anyne explain what these are and how we can prevent them?

I'm not sure that last output means anything useful. In lwp_cond_wait, the value for arg2 is a pointer to struct timespec_t. Since arg2 itself is typed uint64_t, what you're quantizing on are raw pointer values, not time. timespec_t looks like this:
    typedef struct timespec {          /* definition per POSIX.4 */
         time_t          tv_sec;          /* seconds */
         long          tv_nsec;     /* and nanoseconds */
    } timespec_t;

  • My TC display a lot of errors when I tried to config some AirPort Express as a repeater

My TC display a lot of errors when I tried to config some AirPort Express as a repeaters.
I have some AirPort Express as a repeaters for my wireless SSID in my TC. But they doesn't work, some times there are not exist in my AirPort Utility, and some times I need to reconfig those again.
I can't use AirPlay in my repeaters, and can't use my Apple TV eigther.
    Really it is a desaster.
The idea is very good, have a TC with your hard disk, have one computer with iTunes, and repeat all your music, photos and videos to all your home through your apple TV and your AirPort Express repeaters.
    BUT IT DOESN'T WORK
The TC crashes every 10 minutes, the AirPort utility doesn't find all of AirPort Express repeaters, iTunes doesn's find the repeaters and Apple TV eigther.
    Is anybody has a solution?
May be someone had a similar problem.

    I did all.
    But still having problems:
TC still crashes, but less times per day, it blocks the Wireless access and need to restart; AirPorts Express don't repeat the signal as well as I need, some of them just don't repeat the signal at all; AirPlay in iTunes some times has all the repeaters (8) and Apple TV (2) for send the music, photos and videos, and some times doesn't has all of them.
And, with the 5.6 Utility and fireware 7.5.2 (in TC)* I lost "Back to my Mac" to TC; "Back to my Mac" still working to my iMac but lost it to my TC. (I use a TC hard disk as a personal cloud in my MacBook Pro)
*I just put the firmware 7.5.2 in TC, all my repeaters have firmware 7.6.1, should I need put the 7.5.2 on the repeaters too?
Do you have an other issue to solve this?
I insist, THE IDEA IS VERY GOOD, have all your music, photos and videos in all your home through AirPort Express repeaters and Apple TV via iTunes and AirPlay Utility, BUT DOESN'T WORK as well to have stable music, photos, videos, and conections.
    Thanks

  • Lot Expired Error Message

    Hi
The lot Expiry date is much ahead of the batch allocation, but we receive the lot expiry error message. if we make the lot expiry date to next day there is no error. i got a feeling the lot expiry date is having a relationship with the default batch step start date. can someone help me.

    Hi Raj
    We are using 11.5.10.2 version.
The Lot expiry message should appear for the lots which are expired as per the logic.
    lets take an example
we have a lot which is getting expired on 20th Dec 2009, i have created a batch which is going to start on 10th Dec 2009, during allocating of the batch we are getting the error message the lot has been expired. but when we change the lot expiry date to the next day ie, 21th Dec 2009 it accepts. but when the lot is changed to 19th Dec 2009 it will also accepts.
we belive that the system is calculating as per the default Batch step start date for the lot, if so when the Lot expiry date is changed to the previous date ie, 19th Dec 2009. it shouldnt accept since the lot is already expired. plz let me know whther its a bug in Oracle. or my assumption is wrong.

  • Sales Return Inspection lot status Error

    Dear Friends,
I am Getting error while doing sales return processing in VL01n - Goods Issue.
Error Message - Status of Inspection Lot 0600000002 / Partial Lot does not allow Goods issue.
I have already done the settings in config, Assign Inspection Lot Origin to Delivery Type
Also material code has been activated with the inspection type 06.
What could be the reason for the error for goods issue for sales return?
    Regards,
    Anil

    Hi Vinay,
    Thanks for reply.
I have already cleared the inspection lots with Usage decision.
Error message number is VL171 during delivery.
    Regards,
    Anil

  • QM-SD: Sales Return Inspection lot status Error

    Hello Expert,
I want to post Goods receipt in a Returns delivery with QM activated in the material but the following message is displayed:
Status of inspection lot 060000000001 / partial lot 000000 does not allow good issue
    Message no. VL171
The inspection type is 06 (Inspection for Returns from Customer).
The movement type is the 651.
I thought that the inspection lot was created when you post the Good receipt, not when you create the delivery, and the stock material would be Qual. Inspection. So, then I should run QA11 click on Accepted in the UD to transfer the stock to Unrestricted use.
Summarizing, the inspection lot is being created when I create the delivery. I can post GR only after running QA11. But then another inspection lot is created and the stock is posted in Returns. I think that the standard should not work like this.
Please let me know what could be the reason for the error for goods issue for sales return?
    Thanks in advance.
    Pablo
Sales Return Inspection lot status Error

    Dear Nunez
    1) 06 inspection lot gets created when you create a delivery not when you do the GR.
    2) for 651 movement type only 06 inspection lot will be created and this lot will not be stock specefic. You cannot do stock posting for this lot
    3) if you need an inspection lot while doing the GR of the delivery then kindly do the following
    1) make use of movement type 653 instead of 651
    2) activate 05 inspection in the material master. (deactivate 06)
    3) for delivery type LR ( the delivery type you are using for the return ) maintain 05 inspection type in the config
SPRO > QM> Quality Inspection> Inspection Lot Creation>Inspection at Shipping>Assign Inspection Lot Origin to Delivery Type>LR 05inspection type.
Now create the return sales order and then do PGR. inspection 05 will be created. you can do the stock posting in this lot
    regards
    gajesh

    Hi,
This error is normal, when the structure of the check numbers change from the previous lot.
To prevent this error, change the message control settings.
