As you can see i get lots of errors, i think alot of this is due to internal wiring and that i have no master socket in the house.
The drop line comes into the house near the loft, then i have no idea where it goes, there is one socket in the back bedroom which seems to be the first socket connected to the drop line, it has another wire that goes downstairs and that has a wire which goes back upstairs to the front bedroom which then also had an extension which goes out the front and into the living room. I have disconnected the wire from downstairs socket to the front bedroom. I have been into the loft and a cable from the area the drop line enters heads toward the back bedroom socket i think.
Even though it says i am getting 8700 down, i barely get 750k/b down and it often drops to around the 300k level.
Seems to me that the internal wiring is at fault but ive never had a house where the master socket is possibly in the loft and not near the front door, ive looked around the house and if there was a previous master socket its been covered up well.
I know im not allowed to install a drop line cable, so was wondering if anyone knows how much this would cost for BT to do? Infinity is due in my area in the next 3 to 4 months and i guessed BT would need to install a new drop line cable for this?

the fec errors are interleaving working correctly and not a problem.  infinity will not require a new drop wire and will just connect to existing wiring
is it a socket in the loft or just a junction box?  if junction box are there cables running to different sockets or does the junction box only feed 1 socket?
