Lots of reports with similar front page - can i use a template ?

I have a series of reports which all have a front page which displays user parameters, has a logo and date, time etc
Each report has some parameters that are the same and some that are different. I dont want to have to add and maintain a header section for each report.
Is there a way that I can define a generic front page report or template that is applied to each of the reports ?

the reports templating does not work in the basis of re-use. when you apply a template, the content of the template is duplicated in the report and no further connection betweent he report and the template is preserved.
what you might want to look at is runtime customization. maybe you can use this feature to create the header at runtime form a single XML customization file.

Our local historical society hired a web master to create a web site for us. He made it with Microsoft Front Page. I was able to make changes until my husband upgraded to Microsoft Office integral 2007. My question is: Would I be able to continue making changes or upgrades to this site but using iWeb '08 instead? I would much rather use my Mac than his IBM.

No. iWeb can only create and edit sites that have been created from scratch in iWeb. What you might be able to do is download the files in the current site and use the image and graphic files to make a duplicate site in iWeb.

Hyperion Anaylzer - how to Print report with information in pages?

Hi, I use Hyperion Analyzer Version: 6.1.1.00206 (from Help | About menu). I created report with pages (on Navigate button selected the Pages). In pages are months (January, February, March, etc). Now I would like to print current report. So I did: 1. click on arrow beside Print button 2. Print Current Report windows is displayed. I selected default options and press OK button. Report is printed, but there is no page information printed out. So on paper there is report without months (January, February, March, etc). How to print report with information in pages? I had the same issue for printing A/R Invoices - I created a Crystal Report based on a SQL View, works fine with A/R Invoice document, but the Draft Invoice printing has 3 pages: 1st page blank, 2nd page with watermark "DRAFT", 3rd page my Crystal Report layout without any data. When printing normally it is only 1 page.
Here is what I did as a work around:
Create two SQL Views, one select from OINV (joining INV1 and other tables needed), the other select from ODRF (joining DRF1 and other tables needed), for the draft printing.
Create two identicle Crystal Reports, only difference are: datasource location (from different views), the "draft" crystal report has a watermark section.
Go to Administration>System Initialization>Print Preferences and uncheck "Print draft watermark..."
Import both crystal reports. Invoice can be printed normally. But the Draft Invoice has more steps: Open Draft document report, change settings so it shows the DocEntry in the Draft Table. Select and open the desired document, hit Print Preview, and enter the DocEntry, it displays the layout with data and "DRAFT" watermark.
This is a workaround. I don't like it because it is not scalable - too much workload if you want to print 100 invoices.
Hopefully someone will provide a better solution.

This has proved unsatisfactory to me so far. Lines are left in etc.

There are two basic menus for fonts - one from the main menu bar and one from the toolbar. You can also bring up the font manage dialog.
I don't recommend trying to hard to force an otherwise foreign font, as it inevitably needs to be usable/supported on iOS as well, and that can get tricky w/3rd party fonts, as an example, even with the expanded font support in the latest iBA.
If you need to discuss fonts more, I suggest starting a new thread....preferably with a slightly more brief title, thanks.

I have the solution! Well it at least worked for me. This is the response I got from Apple, Can you please try the following steps towards fixing your audio issue, and report back with your results?
1. Open the application Audio Midi Setup (located in Applications : Utilities)
2. Select the Output Tab for the current output device
3. Select the Configure Speakers option
4. Select the Multichannel tab
5. Change the setting to Stereo Now mine was set to stereo but the left channel wasn't showing left. re-clicking on stereo reloaded the settings and after clicking apply it worked.

Sometimes they do work - i've done it before. I have a late 2008 Macbook Uni and used the install dvd of my 2009 Macbook White and it worked.
Why not just clone your hard drive? It'll save you a lot of time doing a clone rather than doing a clean install.
Unless you're having issues with your old set up or your old hard drive is dead.
You can download Carbon Copy Cloner - install your new hard drive in a external usb enclosure (around $10) and clone fromt here then test it before you install it in your Macbook.
Once you've done the swap, you can install your old hard drive in the USB enclosure and use it as a backup drive.

I found an answer that worked for me. I am using an iMac.
(1) Sign out of the iTunes store
(2) Open a NEW account with a new Apple ID
(3) Go through the sign up process and then go to the ACCOUNT INFORMATION page
(4) Go to RECOMENDATIONS & PING POSTING
(5) Turn on Genius there
Once the Genius updates, you can sign out and then sign in under your original Apple ID or the e-mail address you use for the iTunes store. All my store credit was there and now Genius worked.
Rather odd but I actually like the Genius at times except when it can't deal with some of my lesser known bands that I listen to.
Worked for me.

There are a maximum of 11 home pages and 180 apps. The downside of adding apps beyond the 11 pages is that it isn't officially supported and can cause problems if too many are added. (Someone posting here complained that adding more than 500 caused the phone to choke.)
Also, there isn't a good way to delete these apps either directly on the phone or in iTunes. You have to delete the visible apps first until the one you want appears on a page - not very practical.

It may and it may not. I believe that it is unlocked, but just don't put the T-Mobile sim card in it to activate it - use another one.
You cannot be sure that it will work though - the LTE 4G bands may not be compatible so you have purchased a 4G capable phone and you might not even get 4G.
There is also the warranty factor that iPhone warranty only covers you for country of original purchase, so if you buy in the US and something goes wrong with your phone you will have to bring it back to the US - no shipping allowed. Plus and sales and other duties and you won't end up saving any money.
Bottom Line: If you want your phone to work properly in Italy and you want EU warranty, then buy your iPhone 5s in Italy.

I assume these are metadata templates?
in Bridge, apply a template to an image which has no other metadata (eg a dummy image ) and then import the image into Lightroom, ensuring no metadata applied in the Import dialog. Now in Lightroom's Metadata panel, save the metadata as a new Metadata Preset.
Repeat for each template.

Help with CD front pages images.

Hi there !
I just bought my new Black Video 60G. iPod. At the moment all is working allmost ok.
Does anybody had a similar trouble with not showing images that identify the front page of CD's?. I mean I import the images in .jpeg and at bigining they was show on ipod screen, but.. when i add more pics to ident my cd's they simply doesn't appear any more.
I select and de-select the icon where choose show it or not but... nothing.
If i check trought i-Tunes my Ipod music files, the images are there !! but i can't see them... ( double clicking at central control).
How can i resolve this?
