Lots of spams , seems like lousy safety
Been using one of my old ( 2007 ) mail account as Microsoft ID ever since those days , never got spams as the account isn´t officially published anywhere.
Now, with the demand to sign in to Skype with the MS ID a couple of things have happened.
Getting Skype contact requests from unknown happens daily.
My ( secret.. ? ) mail account is getting lots of spams.
Real lousy security , I really don´t like it , very dissapointed
What's under there is a fan, and I suspect that's what you are hearing. Your hard drive is in the right front corner of the machine.

The preview of my hardcover book as iPhoto laid it out is 62 pgs. even though there are only 82 photos in my album.
The auto layout used mostly 1 photo, full pages. Obviosuly I can manually re-layout the pages as multi-photo pages and reduce the number of pages.
However, that seems like a lot of pgs. for so few photos since a blank Photo Essay book layout appears to use 73 photos?
I'm not sure I know why iPhoto did not the default layout to fill those photo frames. I expected the 82 photos to use approximately 23-24 pages max.
Is this a full 62 full pgs or 31sheets?
If it is a true 62 pages, what is the cost?

This book has 48 pages or 24 sheets.

Nearly every time I buy a VPP app and download the spreadsheet there are multiple redemption codes that say that they are invalid! HOW can a code I am getting directly from apple be invalid!!!!!!!! Seems like your system has A LOT of flaws.
I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

It seems like there are a lot of issues with the 3GS on iOS 5.1, should I stay with 4.3.5? Part of what worries me is that my business is completely reliant on this phone and the billing and job tracking software I use, so if something were to happen I would be in trouble. Also, myself not being all that tech savy I am wondering if by hooking my iphone up to itunes once every couple of weeks, is it creating a backup file? If I had to replace my phone could I just plug the new one into itunes and have all of my apps and data transferred onto the new phone? I want to get proactive about this so at the very least I'm not tempting fate.

StephanLooking around here, what you are going to see is problems. People don't come to forums like this to talk about how smoothly their phone is working.
Backing up every couple of weeks is OK, if you can afford to lose several weeks worth of data.
That's one of the huge advantages of iOS5. Wireless backups to iCloud. Plug your phone in to charge at night, and if you have WiFi, it will back up without the need for you to do anything. If it gets run over by a truck, you get a new one, restore from iCloud, and off you go.
if you don't update, you're going to start running into problems soon as new versions of many apps REQUIRE iOS 5. -
I have been using this for school work as much as possible and have come across a problem. With my lack of knowledge for apple it seems as though I can't navigate myself to a easy answer. The problem hits when I am printing pages off of a large document, and I don't want to print the entire document in color but I have no way "that I can find" for a black and white print option...
----- also a larger issue, when printing I need to select 1 page or even 20 pages... The time it takes to use a scroll wheel and the fact if you try and scroll fast sometimes you click off the screen then you have to start scrolling all over again... It seems like you would beagle to input from say page 1224 to 1236.... Instead I have a scroll a wheel? Just doesn't make sense...?

It made more sense after seeing in this thread that table of contents styles are more like presets or entities than styles. -
Hi, I have a problem that I receive lots of Spam messages from my office, I cannot bar the spam text from service provider due to official constrain.
I just want to know if there is any mechanisme where i can bar the message from a specific sender. I know there are some apps like Iblacklist available but we do not find it in any Iphone which is not jailbreak. I was just thinking of developing some code for it.No. You can't. Filtering would have to be done at the server level.

It doesn't have to be exactly like that, but you get the idea. The kicker is that I don't have a database to store it in, and if there are a lot of entries, I'll go crazy trying to add them all into the code. Is there any way I can enter these things into a file and then get the website to read them?
I figured out how to do it with XML, but I can only use Java on my server, and I can't install things on it - only upload pictures and files. I was also able to figure out how to do it using a Tabular Data Control, but then only Internet Explorer users can see it, which isn't acceptable to me.
It seems like it should be a fairly simple thing to do, and I might just be looking at it the wrong way. I haven't ever really done anything hardcore in Java, and I haven't used it in years, so anything you could show me code-wise would be a big help.Use something like HSQLDB. This way you can have all the power of a (small) database without paying your webhoster for MySQL & Co. The only requirement ist that you can write files somewher (I assume you can do that, but even if you couldn't there would be a way to solve this).

Is ther a easy way to move photos and movies from my iPhone to a computer? Seems like the file sharing available with some apps would make it a lot easier than having to email them.

I wanted to put a capcha, but the site must be on catalyst, and I don't want that, I have my own server. It's a ridiculous limitation yu put there.
I like tu work on muse, but the fact that I can't use some tools because of choosing not to put my site on catalyst prevends me to use Muse more.

On doing a full Restore on my iMac from A time capsule, I am getting a permanent white apple screen with permanent loading wheel. This is my second attempt to restore with the same outcome. Seems like the last stage of the restore is getting stuck. Any tips on how to sort this out please.
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.3)It just means some spammer is using your email address as the sender address for their spam. This is very easy to do - anyone can do it simply by changing the From email address in their email program. It does not mean your account was hacked or you have a virus (there are no current Mac viruses on the loose anyway, nor has there been for years).
There's nothing you can do about it. It can happen to anyone and the spammers will move on to using someone else's email address before long. -
I created a form, I want the email notices to go to several people. Why is this so difficult? It seems like they have to be a co-author/reader or something? I don't get it
This is crazy! I paid for this service to make it easier to create forms for a company that has had several acquisitions all over the globe. This was supposed to make it easy to create forms hosted on adobe so no matter what happens on all their servers, we would be safe using this forms service until we can integrate all acquisitions and build a permanent web site on a single server. Now I find out that even this is a major issue sending emails to team members, many I have never met so making them a collaborator or even setting up forwarded emails is not something I wanted to do. This service was advertised as simple and easily send notifications to many people. I am now frustrated and thinking this was a waste of money! Why is it like that?

Why does the new operating system not delete the moved files from their original locations - it seems like an enormous waste of space, time and effort to clean up every file once you've moved it - also, when transferring large amounts of files it becomes a very large problem remembering which files were transferred and which not.
You're going to need to be more specific, as I'm not quite sure I understand what you're talking about.
If you're referring to copying from an external hard drive or flash drive, and you want to actually move files rather than copy them, you can hold down the option key to force it to do a "move" rather than a "copy." This is not new behavior, though... the Mac OS has worked this way as long as I can recall (and I've been using it since 1984).
If you're having a problem with trying to move files from one place to another on a single drive causing them to be copied instead, that is likely because of some permissions issue preventing you from actually being able to move them. -
I've just bought an iPhone 5S in the UK, seems like a big mistake, but luckily by law we can return goods, which is exactly what is going to happen if I cant get this to work. This is my business phone, not having it functional can cost me money.
I have turned off sync to icloud from the phone for both my contacts and calendar, as told on itunes. However, iTunes still says they are synced from iCloud and wont sync to my PC, why and how do I fix it so that it doesnt go to iCloud for anything ?
The phone currently has no contacts or calendar information installed.

I agree that Apple could probably make it easier, but as of yet prefer security over freedom. (sound famaliar?)

what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
