Basically, the system stutters everywhere: Although CS:Source has great performance (i'd say close to 60fps) it's plagued with micro stutters every 20 seconds or so (as is every other game) and sometimes the performance gets really choppy for no reason. If I drag a window around, just to test, it will eventually stutter, window animations sometimes stutter too, smooth scrolling in web browsers isn't smooth at all (very choppy), flash videos stutter all the time as well! I've taken a look at the system monitor and the process that usually uses CPU the most is gnome-shell which can go as high as 80% but it's mostly at 40%. I installed XFCE just to check and everything's perfectly fine there. Could anyone help me out with this please?

It's well known that some ATI graphic option can gravelly mess up its performance (micro stutters, choppy performance).
You can try to enable/disable some options. Better to read this, if you haven't already!

Apple Keynotes stuttering and choppy

Hey everyone,
This applies to both Windows XP and Mac versions of Quicktime, as I have tested this on both machines. For some reason, I can't watch keynotes anymore at all. I watched the one where Steve introduced the iSight built in to iMacs and the Photo Booth software fine on XP with quicktime. But suddenly past that, I have run into stuttering and AV sync issues that make it impossible to watch. This being said, my girlfriend recently bought a 24" iMac and I also tried to watch it on that - and ran into the same problems. On my XP machine, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, both newer and older versions. I also tried the Safe Mode, non-directx mode and that didn't work. I don't know what to do. Streaming video otherwise works fine. Movie Trailers and other streams work fine.

Yes, I have the exact same issue and it is so effing annoying. I wish I would have just stuck with my second-generation Apple TV when I upgraded in October 2013. I've been having this problem ever since upgrading to the third-generation AppleTV, and I can't believe Apple hasn't done anything to fix it. I am an avid Apple fan, and have all things apple in my home… But this really ****** me off!

TC - 2 macs and want to use as external also

Hello, love my new Time Machine- I am currently backing up 2 macs to it.
I have a lot of space and want to use the TC disc as external backup for some key documents also. I set up the folders on one Mac in the area outside of the backups. On the second Mac, I cannot see the folders?
Can anyone help?

Are both Macs on the same OS? What OS?
Are you mounting the TC disk on the Mac that cannot see the files?
Mixing data and backups might seem a great idea.. lots of space as you say.. but the TC has no way to backup data on it.. and Time Machine (which is software on your computer) cannot backup network drives.

I have search the web alot and i have check lots of Iranian and English website but have not find any solution for
this problem . Today I have find a software called "Hide my IP" i have opened up that
when this software was opened , itunes have said "iTunes can't verify the identify of the server "init.itunes.apple.com"".
then i have click on "continue" then iTunes said "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknown error occurred (310)."
And theres a matter that i think that have a connection with this topic and thats , that when i want to go to the lots
of websites like Google Yahoo! Mail and lots of other website my both browser ( FireFox and IE ) will say" This connection is untrusted " .
I think the solution of my second problem is the solution of my first problem too !

DAQ vi to perform digital write and read measurements using 32 bits binary data saved in a file
Two main
sections:
1)
Perform
write and read operations to and fro different spread sheet files, such that
each file have a single row of 32bits different binary data (analogous to 1D
array) where the left most bit is the MSB. I don’t want to manually enter the
32 bits binary data, I want the data written or read just by opening a file
name saves with the intended data.
      2)
And
by using test patterns implemented using the digital pattern generator or build digital data functions or otherwise, I need to
ensure that the
            binary data written to a spreadsheet file or any supported file type
then through the NI-USB 6509 is same as the data read.
I’m aware I can’t use the simulated
device to read data written to any port but if the write part of the vi works I
‘m sure the read part will work on the physical device which I’ll buy later.
My Plan
of action
I’ve
created a basic write/read file task and a write/read DAQ task for NI USB 6509
and both combine in a while loop to form a progress VI which I’m confuse of how
to proceed with the implementation.
My
greatest problem is to link both together with the correct functions or operators
such that there are no syntax/execution errors and thus achieve my intended
result.
This
project is one of my many assignments for my master thesis, so please i’ll
appreciate every help as I’m not really efficient with LabVIEW programming but
I prefer it because is fun and interesting if I get to know it.
Currently I’m
practicing with LabVIEW 8.6/NI DAQmx 8.8 Demo versions and NI USB 6509
simulated device.

What does your file look like? The DAQmx write is expecting a single U32 value, not an array of I64.

Whatever email client you are using, the spam settings are always found in the client's Preferences. Some say Junk Mail while other may say Spam.

I have even turned off LTE. Cut off my cellular data off of apps. Still uses data I switched back to my iPhone 4 cause I had used my
Data in 2 weeks!

I have the same problem on my 4S 64G: I updated to 7.1.1 and burned through my cellular data allowance without running anything that ought to be using it. I incurred an overage charge on Thursday, my new billing cycle started on Friday, and I immediately had used 3/4 of my allowance for the new cycle. I typically do not use my allowance in an entire month so burning through it in a day or two twice in one week is very much not right.
Possibly unrelated or not: last night I was out, did NOT use any apps that should use cellular data, and came home and my phone refused to connect to my home wifi despite turning this and that on and off. I burned cellular allowance while wifi was available.
It seems like someting on my phone, whether an app or the iOS itself, is using cellular data even while my phone is not in use. All I could do is turn off Cellular Data in Settings but that very much diminishes the usefulness of a phone that has served me well -- without data overages! -- for several years.
Please fix this, Apple!

I have tried safe mode boot, NVRAM and PRAM reset but no luck...

First, try a Safe Mode boot.
Startup your Mac in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot takes a longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from your Apple () menu.
If that didn't help, reintall OS X..
Restart your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys so you can access the built-in utilities in OS X Recovery

check in Finder the suffix of those audio files ... if it's .m4p, those are protected=DRM=not meant/allowed for 'processing' aka using in videos...,
only legal way is:
* create a playlist of your m4p filesn in iTunes
* burn a CD from this playlist in iTunes (... if your Mac comes with a disk-drive ...)
* import this CD back to iTunes => same title, but now with .m4a = audio, unprotected... could be helpful to add some 'tag' in iTunes to those re-imported music to indicate them as 'processable'...

All streaming video with my Firefox browser is choppy and constantly stutters and stops and starts. This does not happen with Internet Explorer. Help!!

Any streaming video that I view on Firefox stutters, is choppy and very irritating to try and watch. I opened up Internet Explorer and found that I don't have those issues. This occurs on YouTube, Facebook, and all other videos that I attempt to watch.

I've tried both things, but video still stutters.. Have also tried removing profile, and complete reinstall of firefox.
I'm on 24 Mbit cable and the only user atm. IE and Chrome seems to work without stuttering.
I've having this stuttering every ~5th second, like a small "1/4 sec buffering".
