Lotus Domino compatibilty with Netweaver Portal for use as a Repository

Details of our installation:

<b>LOTUS DOMINO</b>
Domino Server Release 6.5.2 HF1038
Operating System: Windows
I would like to know if this is a supported configuration for creating a Lotus Notes Repository.  (This is NOT collaboration)
I have seen postings that make mention of a SAP Partner product required to connect Lotus Domino 6.5.2 to the Portal's Knowledge Management(KM)/Content Management(CM).

Hi Prakash,
We also are trying to get a Lotus Notes Repository working to Domino 6.5. We have been unable to find the Lotus Domino Toolkit for Java/Corba 5.0.8; all I could find is the very very old 2.1 version. When we used it we could get to the point of creating an index, but when it starts it gets an error:
XCrawlerService  Retriever thread domino_test_rbl_LotusNotes failed - java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
We also tried the NCSO.JAR file from our Domino server install, but there was no corresponding NCORBA.IDL file, without it we didn't even get that far.
Where did you find the correct files? Any chance you could send them to me? I suspect this is the problem.
Thanks,
RBL

    I'm seeking a little guidance -
    How do I create/host interactive articles with embedded video for use in browsers?
    The aim is to bring together video, design, images and writing in one place. A little like Born Presents, but very accessible and user friendly.
    I'm happy using InDesign but want to create interactive articles / magazines that have embeded video files as required. I've been looking at .SWF files but I've come unstuck.
    I want people to view the articles via a blog, ideally with them opening in a lightbox style viewer. It's not intended for tablet viewing and people should be able to view and interact with the files with little effort on their part.
    I think I know how to create these files within InDesign, but I'm not so hot on web design and I'm not sure how to host these online. Does this start coming into the realms of Flash?
    If anyone could point in the right direction I'd really appreciate it - Thank you in advance.

    PDF is one thing. Folios for DPS is another. There is a little bit of
    overlap but not much.
    The interactivity in the folio overlays panel is for DPS only.

  • Synchronize Lotus Domino Directory with Office 365/Exchange Online

    I have someone who is asking me to migrate them from a Lotus Domino server to Office 360/Exchange online. However they want to maintain a sync between Lotus Domino Directory and Office 365/Exchange Online. I'm wondering if that is even possible
    or would they need to have a regular Active Directory server act as a go between the two. Can anyone provide me some guidance/suggestions?
    Vincent Sprague

    Curious, did you ever get this setup?
    Reason I'm asking is I was involved with a large MSO365 migration (15k) from Lotus Notes. We had a separate AD forest just for email Dirsync. We involved a third party to setup the sync and migration between Notes and AD, and coexistence. It was rather complex.
    Out of the box, it would have been extremely difficult.

  • I have an ipad2 with 3G Verizon  for use in India can I get Vodafone service for a month

    I have I pad 2 with WIFI and 3G Verizon . For use in India can I get Vodafone service for a month.

    The Verizon iPads are CDMA based, they don't use micro-sim cards unlike the AT&T models - they are different 3G technologies. I don't know whether there are any CDMA-based carriers in India, if not then you could try getting a mifi device and use a sim card in that to give you internet access on the iPad

  • Help with taffybar installation for use with xmonad

    I discovered nice project https://github.com/travitch/taffybar recently. It's another statusbar like xmobar or dzen2 intended for using with xmonad. It integrates with the latter using dbus instead of stdin.
    Anyone had successful experience installing and running it?
    I installed taffybar with cabal (cabal install gtk2hs-buildtools taffybar). But I totally confused with dbus integration. I have dbus daemon in my rc.conf, but taffybar raises the error on start: Connection Error "connectSession: DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS is missing or invalid.". Than I tried to add eval `dbus-launch --auto-syntax` to my .xinitrc (as suggested in installation instructions http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~travitch/taff … ybar.html), but it taffybar freezes on start. I hope someone more experienced will help me with it.

    The solution was simple. I should just add dbus-launch at the bottom of the .xinirc:
    exec ck-launch-session dbus-launch bash -c "taffybar & xmonad"
    Topic can be marked as solved.

  • USING APACHE STURUTS BRIDGE WITH ORACLE PORTAL FOR STRUTS - JSR 168 PORTLET

    I am trying to develop a JSR - 168 compliant portlet which uses struts framework.I am using APACHE STRUTS BRIDGE to run the application in my ORACLE 10.1.4 Portal server.While doing the configuration accoring to the documentation given in URL http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/PLT/Struts+Bridge
    (apache struts bridge), i was asked to add an <init-param> entery in the portlet.xml file to get the ServletContext.So i need to know where is the ServletContextProvider implementation class which implements ServletContextProvider available in Oracle AS so that i can use that to get the ServletContext and use it furthur.
    Thanks
    Deepak

    you could write your own implementation class for the ServletContextProvider interface and fill in the portlet.xml with the class you class
    It could be written as follows:
    package Edmunds.com.portal.bridges;
    import javax.portlet.GenericPortlet;
    import javax.portlet.PortletRequest;
    import javax.portlet.PortletResponse;
    import javax.servlet.ServletContext;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequestWrapper;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse;
    import javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponseWrapper;
    /* note that PortletApplicationImpl is oracle version of portletContextImpl */
    import oracle.webdb.wsrp.server.PortletApplicationImpl;
    import org.apache.portals.bridges.common.ServletContextProvider;
    * PortalServletContextProvider supplies access to the Servlet context of Oralce Portal Portlet.
    public class PortalServletContextProvider implements ServletContextProvider {
    public ServletContext getServletContext(GenericPortlet portlet)
    return ((PortletApplicationImpl) portlet.getPortletContext()).getServletContext();
    public HttpServletRequest getHttpServletRequest(GenericPortlet portlet, PortletRequest request)
    return (HttpServletRequest) ((HttpServletRequestWrapper) request).getRequest();
    public HttpServletResponse getHttpServletResponse(GenericPortlet portlet, PortletResponse response) {

  • Help with exporting HD for use in DVDSP.

    Hi Guys,
    Very glad I found this forum as I am just out of ideas to get this working. Here is the situation:
    I have a project of a wedding in HDV, which contains 3 sequences with the following lengths:
    The Service = 45mins
    Photoshoot = 5mins
    Reception = 80mins
    I have decided I would like to have the Service + photoshoot on ONE DVD and the reception on ONE DVD. If possible? If not possible I will have the reception spread over two but i do not see the need.
    First of all I have a Powermac dual 1.8 which doesn't have a dual layer dvd burner, so to have a higher quality result and to be able to fit more on I have decided I probably best to get a Dual Layer burner to do this project.
    But before I do that, I need to work out what is the best settings for exporting this project out of FCP 5.1 to work on a SD DVD? Do I use compressor? If so which preset or what settings of my own? I have tried various things and I honestly get lost and my project in DVD SP is around 12GB. So i try exporting again with other ways in compressor and then the quality just looks terrible.
    The FCP project is all in HDV with apple intermediate codec so I would be exporting from that, but obviously only need the DVD in SD!
    If it helps converting the HD project to SD/DV I can do that with the sequence which I did try and then some more export experimenting but it looked really bad.
    Please help guys I am desperate and no idea on what to do here.
    I really appreciate your time, feel free to ask me anything to help you determine what I should do.
    Thank you so much.

    How can I set the audio in the DVD SP project?
    I am using the "default" settings now which are 4.0 and 7.0 and it still says too high? Whats the deal

  • Need help with PC build for use with Photoshop CS4 Extended - Have I made the right choices?

    Hello,
    I'm very new to the inner workings of a PC...this will be first time building one from scratch.  I know enough to be dangerous but not enough to be confident.  I will use the PC primarily for editing, secondarily for iTunes management.  I've heard that I should have, at the very least, an SSD for PS, other apps and the O/S.  I'll also have a hard drive for data storage.  Do I need yet another SSD for scratch?  If so, any recs for one?  Also, my current build (which does not include any SSDs) is about $800.  What can I skinny down, without sacrificing a huge amount of speed/performance?  I am looking for major guidance here...I'm ready to order, but I keep second-guessing my choices.  I want to make sure I get this right the first time around.  I want this machine to last me a good long while.  Any help at all will be HUGELY appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Make sure the motherboard is the third revision as the earlier two had problems with the i5-2500K (Sandy Bridge)
    I prefer Asus motherboards but doesn't mean the Gigabyte is a problem. (I note that it scored 4 eggs...)
    May not make a difference in Photoshop but for Premiere the Geforce video cards with GDDR5 are preferred.
    The LiteOn iHas 224 does lightscribe which is a nice touch for clients/gifts.
    There is no room to save as I would consider your build minimum specs for a nice photoshop experience.
    As for SSD drives...my research of reviews and articles makes me feel the technology is not ready for mission critical work. So if you are running a business then I recommend not using SSD drives. Rather look at Raptor 10,000 rpm drive for Windows and Photoshop and use the Spinpoint for storage. If not business then I've read the intel x25 SSD drives are solid but I have no personal experience with them.
    Cheers,

  • Help with an Algorithm for using a level sensor to estimate consumption.

    I'm developing a small HMI-Scada application for monitoring the level of Diesel in four vertical tanks similar to the screen shot below.
    Tank Information:
    20 Feet High
    8 Feet Inside Wall Diameter
    5,000 Gallons Capacity
    (These Tanks supplies four Caterpillar Generators)
    Since each tank already has an Ultrasonic Level transmitter installed (accuracy is plus or minus one Inch) I was thinking of using this Tank level information coming from that sensor to estimate consumption.
    The problem I'm having right now is figuring out the correct math to use inside VB.Net to make this calculation work, considering that Diesel not used by the Generators will be returned back to the tank.
    The consumption data we need is not needed in real time necessarily it is more like at the end of the day we need to know how much diesel was used by each generator, this will help management figure out and print a report with the total carbon emissions
    for that day.
    The HMI-Scada application is going to have a Microsoft SQL Sever collecting the Tank Level Information every one minute.
    To avoid further complications when Mr. Diesel comes with his truck to refill the tanks we are planning to have him manually enter into the HMI-Scada application the total amount of gallons pumped into each tank.
    Do anyone in this forum have an idea of how this can be done?

    Hi,
     Is the 20 feet actually measured from the inside Bottom to the inside Top of the tank? Is the Inside Diameter actually 8 feet all the way from the bottom to the top of the tank?
     If those two answers are true then it seems like it would be easy enough to calculate.
     20 feet * 12 inces = 240 inches
    5000 gallons / 240 inches = 20.833333333333333333333333333333 gallons per inch
    So, if i am right then for example, if you had 200 inches of fuel at the beginning of the day and 80 inches at the end of the day it would be:
    20.833333333333333333333333333333 * 200 = 4166.6666666666666666666666666667 gallons to start with
    20.833333333333333333333333333333 * 80 = 1666.6666666666666666666666666664 gallons at end of day
    So the gallons used would be
    4166.6666666666666666666666666667 - 1666.6666666666666666666666666664 = 2500.00 gallons used for the day
    Example code:
    Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
    Dim GallonsPerInch As Double = 5000 / (20 * 12) 'Gallons Per Inch
    Dim StartingInches As Double = 200.0 'get inches at Start
    Dim EndingInches As Double = 80.0 'get inches at End
    Dim GallonsUsedToday As Double = (StartingInches - EndingInches) * GallonsPerInch 'Gallons used from Start to End
    MessageBox.Show("Gallons Used = " & GallonsUsedToday.ToString)
    End Sub
    If you say it can`t be done then i`ll try it
    Thats right Razerz.
    So where height is the change in the tank levels the volume is
    V = (pi)(radius ^ 2)(Height)
    V = (3.14)(4)(4)(Height) = 50.24 (height) cubic feet
    V = (50.24 cuft) (7.48 gal/cuft) (height) = 376 (height) gallons
    So for an inch of height:
    V = 376/12 = 31.3 gallons per inch
    Just for fun
    5000 gals / (12)(31.3) = 13.29 feet high
    Normally the tank does not fill to the top.
    Check my math.
    So all you need to do is Constant(change in height) = gals. Once we get the constant right.
    PS In fact it would be best to just measure the depth when the gas man fills the tank and calc the constant. I doubt the tank is exactly 8 feet. I mean you calc the constant once. And at that time check it is linear ie the tank is a cylinder.

  • Complementary still camera to use with my camcorder for use on my mutimedia projects

    Hi, I use a Canon XA10 camcorder for my movie work. The XA10 also has an impressive still photo image capability, but I also need a smaller sized still camera for capturing stills without gathering the attention like camcorders sometimes do. So I need a smaller point-and-shoot for this kind of still work, but with similar capabilities (e.g.. excellent image quality, colour quality, point focus, depth of field, etc) offered by my XA10. What would a suggested choice for a small still camera to complement my great XA10?
    Many thanks!

    Did your search find this one:
    http://www.amazon.com/Waterproof-Endoscope-Borescope-Inspection-Camera/product-r eviews/B004ZWFOEQ
    I don't have it and am suspicious of how well a $20 inspection camera will function, but it was the very first one I found with a review from a Mac user.

  • Setting up a remote with ir-tables for use with XBMC

    My main goal is to use a remote with xbmc, but I'm having issues.
    Issue #1 (main problem): The directional keys and enter will work but no other keys seem to register.
    Issue #2: Even the keys that work have this weird usage issue, where pressing any of the same key twice loses the second key press. For example clicking up arrow 4 times results in only two actual "up's" being done. (first up works, second fails, third works, forth fails, etc)
    I've spent about four hours getting to this point and there is a lot of conflicting information out there on this subject which has had me very confused, but at this point I assume I can ignore any mention of Lirc as it seems like its not needed and if ir-keytable is used correctly things should just work?

    scancode 0x80348483 = KEY_ESC (0x01)
    At this point is seems like everything is setup correctly but like I said only the direction keys and return work. If it did work my next step would be determining when to issue the ir-keytable write, and I'm assuming I can just do that in openbox's autostart file?
    Does anyone have any ideas as to what I might do to correct these issues?

    I also encountered davevallance's issue #1.  Directional and enter keys already work, as do volume keys.  If any other button is mapped to those working keys (using ir-keytable) then they also work, for example I can successfully map the useless "teletext" to "enter" and it produces a linefeed when pressed but I cannot get it to do the same with "space".  Interestingly it does produce a space keypress in a virtual terminal (Ctrl+Alt+F3), also "ir-keytable -t" shows the correct key event which proves the underlying OS is recognising the mapping.  The issue is somewhere in the X system instead.
    I refer now to HID Remotes which covers the situation well.  It explains that X does not process keycodes above 255 and at first that would seem to fit here.  All the keys which work (arrows, enter, volume) have keycodes less than 255.  So why don't other 'safe' keycodes work too?
    Xorg has it's own keycode map with "xmodmap" but I don't think that is responsible in this case.  From the Arch wiki it suggests exploring with:
    xev | grep -A2 --line-buffered '^KeyRelease' | sed -n '/keycode /s/^.*keycode \([0-9]*\).* (.*, \(.*\)).*$/\1 \2/p'
    Unmapped keys should produce a "NoSymbol" message but for my non-working keys there is no response at all in X.  Is there another layer between kernal and GUI?

  • Best Router with DSL Modem for use with AT&T DSL and Airport Express?

    I recently had my old 2WIRE from AT&T DSL service die, so purchased a new 2WIRE 2701HG-B. My old 2WIRE worked with my Airport Express, which is hooked up to my DVR for DirecTV use. The new 2WIRE apparently is not compatible with the Airport Express, so I returned it and purchased a NetGear Wireless-N 300 Router with DSL modem. While this one does work with the Airport Express setup, it runs very slow. This router has mediocre reviews, so I'd like to find a better one.
    I'd appreciate any suggestions for a Router w Modem that would work best with my AT&T DSL and Airport Express (802.11n) within the $100 - $150 price range. Thanks!

    Configure the Express as a bridge: Connect via "Ethernet", and set Connection Sharing to "off (bridge mode)".
    The switches ought not to be a problem, and I don't know why your router froze. The Express is simply another wired client, just like a computer might be.
    do I turn off DHCP on the router,
    No. Something has to provide routing functions so leave the Linksys alone.

  • How to format hard drive with mac air for use on mac and pc

    I'm new to MAC and can't make much sence of what has been said to do in other questions. All I want to be able to do is use my 500gb My Passport hard drive on my MAC and other PC's. I have saved all the data that I want to keep on another hard drive so can re-format the hard drive if needed. I want to do all the set up on my MAC AIR.
    Please help,
    Cheers Hutch

  • A suspicious dialogue box is appearing on my Mac, with a checkbox for using searchmoose. How can I get rid of this?

    This morning when I booted up my MacBook Pro, I got a suspicious-looking dialogue box that says "Update Alert!" and something about downloading a utility in preparation for "the new version of OSX." A checkbox below offered searchmoose as my search engine. I unchecked that and clicked on Cancel, but the dialogue box appeared again a little while ago. It looks almost like an official Mac message - but not quite. Any suggestions about getting rid of this greatly appreciated!

  • Can anyone provide me with an lm317T for use in a power supply project

    I'm trying to simulate a power supply for a college project and need an lm317T.  Can anyone provide this in order to add it to my circuit.  I'm not worried about adding it to my database.

    Hi Steve,
    I googled "LM317T SPICE model" and found this website, someone posted the model for this part
    http://www.electro-tech-online.com/general-electronics-chat/18270-lm317-spice-model.html
    Now that you have the model, you can create you own component in Multisim.  If you don't know how, please refer to this page:
