Lotus Notes 6.5 and Nokia 6300 problem

Hi All,
I'm using
Windows XP with SP2
Lotus Notes 6.5.4
Nokia 6300
PC Suite 6.82.26.0
When I try to synch my calendar I get the error: the system cannot find the file specified: local, mail\nllha.nsf.
A second error in Dutch "het vereiste gegevenstype wordt niet door de opgegeven database ondersteund". In English this would be something like "the file type is not supported by the database that you entered".
Any ideas would be very appreciated.
Thanks!
Best regards,
Lyset

Hi All,
Problem is solved... I created a new local replica of my calendar. Without Encryption. Now it works.
Bye,
Lyset

  • Lotus Notes 8.02 and PC Suite 7.0.8.2 sync problem

I use Lotus Notes 8.02 and PC Suite 7.0.8.2 both US English.
When synchronizing everything is in sync except for the emailaddress, this field is not synchronized.
Is there some kind of 'fieldmapping', ini or reg file that can be changed to include this field? Or is it a bug?

Well, I think this is a problem that should be fixed in nokia pc suite. I have tried Oxygen Phone Manager II for Nokia phones, and I have no problem to read sms-messages from the phone (Nokia 6111 and 6300 works 100% in Oxygen's software)
Oxygen Phone Manager II you say, well I have a 6111 that I want to backup old text messages from...is that program freeware?

  • Events in iCal doubled after use of iSync and Nokia 6300

    Hi,
I’ve got a problem with the sync though iSync of the Nokia 6300 and iCal on my Mac – a problem which might be related to the imported phoneplugin – but I really don’t think so, as other users doesn't seem to have any problems with this phoneplugin:
    http://nokia6300.net/3/isync-and-nokia-6300
    The story goes like this:
During sync with iSync somehow over 505 of the events are doubled in both iCal on my PowerBook G4 with OS X 10.4. AND in the calender of Nokia 6300. If I sync three times an event is tripled in both iCal and phone etc. It seems like iCal doen’t want to obey the phone during sync – and I always use the phone as my primary source – as far as I know, anyway. iCal is thus used as a backup.
And there is another curious thing going on:
I’ve created my own calender in iCal. Even though I subscribe to Holidays and Weeknumbers in iCal, they are turn of during sync with iSync. But still they emerge in the calender of my Nokia 6300 after sync. As far as I can see, the setup is correct.
If anyone knows how to deal with these issues, I’d be must greatful, as deleting all these extra events in the phone and iCal after each sync is both rather irritating and terrible time consuming.

OK, I've found the answer. I've used the plugin found here (in my case the one for iSync 2.4):

    Hi benlebvb,
Are you running a 32- or 64-bit OS? Please see this thread: Acrobat 8 and Windows 7 Don't Work
While that is not a supported configuration (Acrobat 7 on Windows 8), some customers have been able to make it work. The thread I've referenced should give you some good pointers.

  • ISync + Nokia 6300 problem

This problem appeared literally overnight and has me completely stumped.
iSync has stopped syncing (or my Nokia 6300 has stopped sending) current- and future-month events to iCal. I have synced a number of times, tried removing the phone from the iSync list and re-adding it, and all that happens is all events for all months prior to the current month get synced. New events are not being added.
    Any ideas??

OK, I've found the answer. I've used the plugin found here (in my case the one for iSync 2.4) instead of the one mention in the post above:

  • Nokia 6300 problem list

Hi, just got the 6300, updated the firmware to V05.00.
I found three problems with the new firmware, (some were on the old firmware to):
1)The # button does not put the phone on "silent" mode.
2)I can not change the standby font color.
3)The incoming call alert is always ascending even though it is on "ringing".
If any body found more problems write them down here and hopefully Nokia will fix the problems in the next firmware update.

    Hi,
Day before yesterday I bought a Nokia 6300 set. But, yesterday I found that the screen saver is not working on this set.I mean if I have kept the time out of screen saver as 10 sec and if no action is taking place in the phone for 10 sec then screen saver should start automatically, but this is not happening.
If anyone else out there is facing the same problem, then let me know. Otherwise someone please tell me the solution for this as this problem eats up lot of my battery backup.

Hey together,we are currently searching for a new Backup Software Solution and I wondered if one of you could help me..Our situation is the following:4 physical Servers
One of them with our productive Data ( 53TB of Files, Videos, Music, InDesign, PSD,...)
Second one with User Profiles and temporary Stuff and Applications
One production Server (just Bare Metal Recovery needed)
Remote-Site Server (Windows DC +2hyper-vmachines)(duetolow budget the DC is also Hyper-V)The Servers are connected via 10Gb/s FC internal Network directly patched to the same Backbone switch.Actually we are using DPM from Microsoft, but it cannot handle all the Data. The Backup Server is a Windows Server with a 80TB Storage connected via FC.
The Storage itself has not really any functions but basically creating a RAID. We are using Infortrends FC-Raid Systems. So there...

  • Plugins for SonyEriccson P990i and Nokia 6300

Has anyone had any success using the available plugins that are out there with Leopard 10.5.6 and iSync 3.0.2? For example, v1.0.7 from SonyEriccson and the (old) plugins for the Nokia. None of these seem to work with the above version of iSync.

The only legitimate place for iSync Plugins to be installed is in one of these two places:
~/Library/PhonePlugins/ (to be installed for the current user only) or, more commonly:
Macintosh HD/Library/PhonePlugins/ (to be installed for all users)
Any plugins that asks to be installed anywhere else (including inside the iSync application) are not made correctly and will conflict with native phone support.
To set up a phone for iSync you should go through the Bluetooth Setup Assistant and check the box at the appropriate point to "Use this phone with iSync". Then iSync should automatically open and add your phone as a device. It's not necessary to manually choose "Add Device..." unless syncing via USB.
For the P990i, make sure you have the latest available firmware. You can upgrade it using the Sony Ericsson Update Service running on a Windows PC.
Being able to browse the device over Bluetooth is irrelevant as far as syncing goes as the two functions use different Bluetooth protocols.
For the Sony Ericsson, as long as you have the right firmware, and set up the phone via the Bluetooth Setup Assistant, and are using the official Sony Ericsson plugin, you should be able to sync ok.
Regarding the Nokia, I would suggest removing all remnants of previous, possibly duplicated plugins, and installing one from a trusted developer. Many of the "free" plugins you can find via Google haven't been made correctly, and often don't sync everything as they've been made by someone just hacking other plugins, not really knowing what they're doing.
    Good luck!

  • Lotus Notes - Create .pdf and file size limits

Is there a way to increase the 100MB file size limit in Lotus Notes create .pdf option?

    Good day Lisa,
Are you using Adobe Acrobat to create your PDF files or are you looking to use our CreatePDF service?  If you're trying to use the CreatePDF service, I'm sorry, but we can't change the 100MB file size limit.

  • Wlan Controller and NOKIA e66 problem

Hi all I want to ask some questions: I'mexperiencing these serious problem: when i place a voip call with E66 the voice is seriously chopped.
With 7921 the voice is ok.
I'm using: WLC 4402 (vers 4.2.207.0) nokia Call Connector 1.60 on nokia e66, UCM 6.1. I used the same configuration of the WLAN of 7921 as QoS and other specification.
The encryption is WPA (I tried with CCKM+tkip+LEAP as the 7921 work but i have also LEAP authentication problem but is not the most important thing now).
I don't know what to do.
    Can somebody help me?
    Thanks for your support

    Hi,
I upgraded to PR3 only my personal Phone and i made the tests with my e66.
    I disabled the 802.11b network.
The problem is very evident when i place a call nokia<->7921.
calls nokia<->other cisco phone (non wifi) is acceptable but not very good.
If I make a call using nokia<->PSTN lines is ok (It is quite like other phone).
If I disable CAC the situation is the same
I don't know if it is a roaming problem or other problems.
    Thanks

  • Hibernation not working correctly and ThinkVantage connection problem

    Hi -
I searched this but couldn't find my problem. I'm sure it's out there but didn't see it.
My computer will not go into hibernation on its own. I have it set to go off after 1hr not on battery. I don't have a mouse hooked up to it or any other external device. Does anyone know why this is. It will not go into standby mode either. The only feature that works is shutting my LCD off.
If anyone has a solution please let me know.
Also, I would like to get rid of my ThinkVantage connection manager. Is there a way to make it go away without uninstalling? I would rather use Microsoft's manager instead.
    Thank you,
Lenovo T500 - Windows XP Professional

    For the wireless connectivity...
Having two wireless clients both trying to control the card usually causes problems.  My suggestion:
    1.  Use Access Connections, but create the WZC (Windows Zero Config) profile within Access Connections by using "Use Windows to configure wireless" under the wireless security type.  Be sure before you do this, that and previously existing profiles under WZC that you created and gone. (So basically have to recreate the profiles and new ones under Access Connections)
    or
    2.  Uninstall Access Connections and use WZC exclusively. Trying to use WZC to manage wireless with Access Connections installed will just cause problems (disconnects, etc...)

  • 6110 notes: Route 66 and Nokia Map (Smartogo) in a...

    Hi,
Just sharing some observations after trying out the two maps for navigation in a city.
    a) Responsiveness: Route66 is definitely more responsive in re-routing once you drive off the recommended route. It typically provide new directive immediately, whereas Nokia map will take a couple of seconds for recalculations.
    b) Quality of re-route: When a route is missed, Route66 seems to provide more 'human-like' new route. Whereas, Nokia Map seems to work on partial re-route, and try to find the "next possibility" with the objective to make a "U-turn" to get back to the previous calculated route. The difference is important in real life, since making U-turns in an un-familiar location can be dangerous, but more importantly, can dis-orientate most people who are not adept in navigation in the first place. So, Route66 seems to be smarter than 'smartogo' on this respect.
    c) User interface: Nokia Map (smartogo) seems to be lacked of the short-cut keys that Route66 already provice (such as key 5, 6 etc). Also, the satellite info page seems rudimental.
However, the screen layout of the Nokia Map seems more useful than Route66, but Route66 has more fancy graphics. So, it is clear that Route66 has been optimised for novice in navigation, making it as easy as possible.
    d) Voice navigation: Route66 seems to be straight-to-the-point, i.e. clear instruction. Nokia Map tends to be a bit more chatty and delayed. For example, quite frequently, it would say "next possibility", which is useless, except seems to project to me that it is not sure. Also, by the time it finished saying 'possibility', you already missed the turn out.
When one is on the road and decide to rely on the voice navigation, just tell me what to do at the right time, cut out the sweet talks.
    e) Landmark management. This one, Nokia Map is definitely one up.
Well, it seems that Route66 is the way to go at this point since it seems a more mature product. However, I think Nokia Map has many tricks up the sleeves, it seems, especially in terms of integration with other applications.
I still love google map for the satellite view, nothing can beat having a preview of the terrain of the route one selects. However, this is not for everybody, I admit.

I find Route66 also tends to keep trying to send me back to the route it initially calculated for far too long after I've diverted off - usually to avoid traffic jams.
The one feature I would really like on Route66 - and which I always assumed would be in any routing software - is a "find me another route that avoids this road" option. Can't understand why that one isn't available as the code that handles the real time traffic data could easily be adapted to do it.
