Lotus Notes attachment question

I having problems with attachments using Lotus Notes which I'm obliged to use at work. Initially it happened infrequently now it is happening regularly. Lotus Notes appears to be doing some sort of compression or modification of MS Word, EXCEL and jpg attachments so that recipients receive an attachment that their PCs can't recognize. I just upgraded to Notes 7 with no improvement. I have tried all combinations of Compress, PC Friendly and MIME options on Notes, with no improvement. Mac to Mac seems to be ok, but all my customers use PCs.

Just my 2-cents worth … Lotus Notes technical support (especially for MAC) isn’t worth ___!
Fact is, Lotus Notes for MAC isn’t worth ___!
Unfortunately, some of us in this PC-dominated world are forced to use it at our companies!
Many times, when I have attachments to send, I use my Google account! It always works, but unfortunately, there is a size limitation. Fortunately, 90% of what I send is not too large for Google!

Okay.. My imovie (3.3) and my system profiler are not recognizing my camera. The weird this is that it did one day then literaly the next day it didnt. This is a new camera.. the first day it worked.
My FW ports are fine (isight works when connected and the system profiler recognizes it)
My camera recognizes that there is a FW cable attached, so that port is okay..
I have a 4pin to 6 pin NEW firewire cable...

I have shutdown..reconnected, unplugged, checked my midi audio rate, even said a lil' prayer..
Please DO NOT SEND ME to: iMovie: Cannot see or control camera. I have tried this and many other fixes.

No 1 Please. Try Your camera on another Mac.
It is regrettably to easy to harm the A/D chip in the camera by turning
the FW 6-pin end plug the wrong way around (It should not go BUT it
does). Result. Import/Export doesnt work but You can manuver it from iMovie. (Expencive repair if not a guraranti repair)
No 2 If You use FinalCutExpress or pro the import/export in iMovie
also stops working due to a file collision.

you haven't lost anything, it's virtually impossible to delete your Zotero library by accident.
You may just need to show your add-on bar (View --> Toolbars ---> Add on Bar).
To check if Zotero is disabled, go to Tools--> Add-ons --> Extensions.
Make sure to check for Zotero updates, you may need the newest version (2.1.10) for FF6 compatibility.
As a general piece of advice, if technical problems make you frantic, don't perform major software upgrades in the middle of a project. Also, support for Zotero is better on the Zotero forums than here.

I updated my MacBook Pro with version 4 yesterday. I access my company's lotus notes with this browser. I can access the web site, but cannot open attachments. The message I received is that I have removed the attachment. I haven't. The text that states the name of the attachment is there. I can click on it but it won't open and there is nothing in the attachment box in Web Mail.

Can't send PDF as a mail attachment from iPad to a Lotus Notes account

Hello, I have some problems sending PDF documents as email attachments from my iPad. Using the adobe reader app for iOS, I create an email with the file attached. Sending this to e.g. a hotmail account works fine. However, if I send it to any address at my company, where Lotus Notes is the standard, the attachment seems to be converted into a text file. Is this a known issue with the reader for iPad, or should I rather be looking to IT support at my company for help?

You can open the XLS attachment in that app, then transfer the document to your Mac via the USB cable. You can then print from the Mac.
Printing from your iPad doesn't work via Bluetooth either, by the way.

When using Lotus Notes with the latest version of firefox notes will not allow me to attach files?

Uner firefox version I was able to attach muliple doc within my Lotus notes, after upgrading I now get an error message. Program error. What else can I do to fix the problem other than going back to the old version?

I only have an HSA account with USbank, and my screen looks fine.
If the website is okay, you can try goto options->advanced->network, and clear the web cache and try again.

Open pdf attachment in Lotus notes 8

I have a customer who uses Lotus Notes 8 for mail. They are having trouble with opening pdf documents they receive as attachments. If they save det documents to their harddrives, and then open it, it works fine. I have tried to install several different versions of Adobe Reader (9.x and 8.x), and they get the same problem with them all.
Anyone seen this problem and have any tips?

Microsoft upgraded Hotmail e-mail accounts to Outlook.com
The Print Screen key has no function.....when the 2 boxes mentioned above appear on the monitor (which I have detailed) they require action or I cannot proceed to another screen or function.
Maybe my problem should also be sent to Microsoft Customer Service...your thoughts.
I note there has been 106 views hard to believe that no one else has had this problem.

I just started Med. School at a school with a computer requirement. As a huge mac person, I'm very upset that we are required to use windows computers for school. So...I'm trying to use my mac as much as possible. I'm trying to find out how to sync my lotus notes email with mail.app on my mac. Does anyone know how to do this? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Since downloading Firefox 4, I am unable to open attachments in my Lotus notes e-mail account, but not if I open Lotus notes via Internet Explorer.

I recently downloaded the latest version of Firefox (I have been using older versions for the last two years). However, when using my Lotus Notes e-mail account (through the University of Dayton), I immediately was unable to open e-mail attachments (both new e-mails and older, saved e-mails with attachments that had previously been opened. The word "attachment" appears at the end of the message (in light grey), but does not respond to the cursor. I have delayed working on this problem, because if I open Internet Explorer instead of Firefox, my Lotus Notes account will allow me to view new and past attachments. It seems that the new Firefox has changed some security setting that does not relay attachments with my incoming or stored e-mails. Suggestions--or should I continue to just always open with Internet Explorer?

"Read" status of e-mail will not sync wirelessly between Lotus Notes and 8520??

This is my first post and I realize that this might not be the right area to post this question but my question did not seem to fit anywhere else.
I was recently issued a BB 8520 at my new company and we work in a Lotus Notes environment and I believe it is version 7.
This is not happening to anyone else that I know of in our company but when I read an e-mail in Lotus Notes from my desktop, wireless sync will not mark it read on my Blackberry. Also when I read an e-mail on my BB, it will not mark it read in Lotus Notes. However if I delete an e-mail in Lotus Notes, it will delete it from my BB via wireless sync. Finally, when my BB is attached to my desktop via USB, and I do a manual sync from Blackberry Desktop Manager, it will sync the "read" status of my e-mails between Lotus Notes and my BB.
So I guess my question is why are most sync functions working via wireless sync between my e-mail in Lotus Notes and my BB, but not the "read" status of an e-mail? And I know that it works for other users in our company so it's really bothering as it is a whipping to have check e-mails that are still marked as unread (in both Lotus Notes and my BB) when I have already read them.
Thank you and I would really appreciate any help or information that I could provide to our IT Admin at work to help him solve my problem.

Problems answering surveys with lotus notes

We have a problem answering a questionnaire sent from BW to lotus notes. When I open the html questionnaire that is in the message as attachment, answer the question and push the button 'Send questionnaire',lotus notes open a new message with the address of the recipient but doesn't´t create the attachment file postdata.att. We have lotus notes version 6.5.1 and we have internet explore with SP 2.
After a lot of changes on the security options of internet explorer, some parameters in lotus notes, we can´t generate the attachment in the lotus notes message.
Can anybody please help on this. It's a high priority issue........

Font changes automatically in Lotus Notes & Excel Find/Replace pops up

I am using Win XP SP3 and FF 14.0.1
I recently (last couple of weeks) noticed that, when FF 14.0.1 is running, the font size, color, bold and bullet will change automatically in Lotus Notes. Sometimes the font changes from normal horizontal to all vertical. And these changes can reverse while I watch or continue trying to type.
Also, in Excel 2007, the Find & Replace box will automatically pop up and keep popping up after I close it.
My IT support suspected Malware on my laptop and loaded & ran Malwarebytes on my laptop and it found two items which I removed. But the problem was still there. Next we reinstalled Office 2007 and Lotus Notes 8.5.1 --- still did not solve the problem.
I began my FF troubleshooting by disabling add-ons one-by-one in the reverse order of addition (newest added was disabled first) until I got to the point before which I previously did not have this problem. But this did not find an offending add-on. (I still have these add-ons disabled.)
Next, I went brute force and restarted FF with '''ALL''' add-ons disabled (using the Help option to do so). This did '''NOT''' fix the problem.
Then I happened to find out that the problem went away -- completely -- if FF was NOT running. I have checked / verified this several times --- somehow FF 14.0.1 certainly appears to be the cause. As I recall I only experienced these issues AFTER I updated to FF 14.0.1
I hope a solution can be found -- otherwise I will no longer be able to use FF at work.

Would be great if files could be attached when questions are being created. I exceeded the max allowed characters when I tried to paste my FF troubleshooting info. So, I had to delete many lines. I saved the info in a file, but no way to attach it before the question is posted.
