Lotus Notes password change not working

Hi,
I'm integrating Lotus Notus and currently we are able to create users in the Domino server, so we have many doubts:
Lotus Notes Id Files are created in the Domino server, but this Id Files needs to be copied in the users own laptops or desktop pc's. What is the best way we can give the user the Id File?
For password changes: I have test password change from OIM self-service, I mean, I create a user, then I provision the user account to Lotus and finally I login with the user account to OIM user self-service interface and try to change password, connector log says everything is ok and the user Id file is correctly modified but, in Domino's server, Lotus internet/http password is not modified, so it is correct? I expect the http/internet password to be changed too. For test purposes I have to copy the new Id file from the Domino server and paste it in the client pc where Lotus Notes client is installed, I put the new password and I'm able to login, but http/internet password is not changed.
So I don't know if this is a limitation from the connector or if I miss something in order to be able to perform password changes, I have read many times connector documentation but this is not clear for me. I also have read oracle waveset Domino connector documentations but seems to work in a different way OIM do.
Please help me
Regards.

Hi SaikatDas,
Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
Since this forum is to discuss: Visual Studio WPF/SL Designer, Visual Studio Guidance Automation

Based on your issue, it is related to the IIS, so I’m afraid that it is not the correct forum for this issue. therefore, I suggest you can post this issue directly to the IIS forum:http://forums.iis.net/
, maybe you will get better support.
Thanks for your understanding.

okay,... I just saw another website which shows I should put in the 'replace <oldpwd>' clause in.
    This works in SQL Developer:     alter user sutemp identified by carport999 replace garage999;
So why does the 'password' command fail?     (Developers:  it would also be helpful to have the ORA- error displayed as opposed to 'Failed to change password')

  • OWA 2013 Expired Password Change - not working

We are in the process of moving mailboxes from our 2010 environment to our 2013 environment and are using the 2013 CAS as internet facing, for any mailboxes on 2010, requests are proxied through.
We have the registry DWORD ChangeExpiredPasswordEnabled set to 1 in HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchange OWA but this isn't working.
It use to work perfectly well when we had the 2010 CAS server internet facing.
Is this still supported in Exchange 2013?

I opened up a case with Microsoft and we've done 2 things, not sure which has fixed it.
    1) On the password policy for the domain, set the min password age as 0 days (previously set as 1)
    2) On the CAS server, under IIS, Default Websit, OWA, Authentication and on Basic Authentication set the default domain to "\"
This has resolved the issue for us.
I had the 1st suggestion done and running for a few days and it still would not work. The 2nd one, however, was the one that worked for me. Instructions below.
1- Open IIS Manager on the CAS server.
2- Navigate to "<Server Name>\Sites\Default Web Site\owa". Double-click "Authentication". Select "Basic Authentication". Make sure it is enabled. Click "Edit" in the far-right pane. Enter "\" into the "Default domain" field. Leave "Realm" field blank.
    Click "OK".
3- Navigate to "<Server Name>\Sites\Default Web Site\owa\auth". Double-click "Authentication". Select "Basic Authentication". Make sure it is enabled. Mine was disabled. Click "Edit" in the far-right pane. It should pick-up the "\" through the
hierarchy. Enter "\" into the "Default domain" field if it has not. Leave "Realm" field blank. Click "OK".
4- Navigate back up to "<Server Name>" under "Start Page" in the left pane. Click on the server name to select the server. Click on "Restart" in the far-right pane to restart the web server.

  • MARS working ACS-password changes not working

If I change my password at the active directory level, ACS should correspondingly accept that and work with my MARS appliance. THe problem I'm seeing is failed logons using an account with a recently changed password. ACS reports "password update failed" or something like that for the failed MARS logons. Other ACS integrated cisco devices are working fine.
Is there a setting within MARS that caches passwords?
    thanks

Reset OS X Password Without an OS X CD...
    http://theappleblog.com/2008/06/22/reset-os-x-password-without-an-os-x-cd/
Starts up like the first time you buy a new Mac, but after filling in all that info again, you should have access to the computer and the other Users & files will still be there... though I was just thinking, this new User probably shouldn't be the same name as an existing one.
A relatively painless Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space and no Disk corruption, and is relatively quick & painless...

Just be sure to select Preserve Users & Settings.

  • Password change doesnt work on iPhone

New password for Apple ID works perfect online, but is rejected op de iPhone iOS6.

Try logging out of your account on the iPhone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it.

  • OAM Password policy not working.

    Hi All,
I am configuring a password policy in OAM which enforces the user to reset his password at first login. OAM is using OID as user store and I have added oblix password related objectclasses to OAM schema. OIM is used to provision all users to OID. I have also enabled the Checkbox Change on Reset in password policy.
I have also made certain attributes visible in OAM user manager such as obpasswordchageflag, oblastsuccesfullogin, oblastfaillogin etc.,
Once the user is created in OID through OIM, the values for attributes obpasswordchageflag, oblastsuccesfullogin, oblastfaillogin are empty.
Case1: obpasswordchangeflag attribute value is empty for user say oamtestuser. oamtestuser logs in to OAM protected application with default password provided in OIM. I could see the oblastsuccesfullogin attribute value updated in oamtestuser profile as expected. Similarly oblastfaillogin value also got updated for failed login as expected.
Case2: obpasswordchangeflag set to true manually in user profile for oamtestuser. oamtestuser logs into OAM protected application with default password. Upon submit, user is redirected the change password page which prompts the user to enter current password and new password. Upon submit user will be shown another page with backup button. Upon clicking back button, user is asked to login to the application once again with new password. Upon submit, user is shown change password page again instead of logging to application with new password. I have noticed that obpasswordchangeflag attribute value is still set as true.
Case3: After executing Case2, even after modifying the obpasschangeflag value to false or making empty, the attribute values of oblastsuccesfullogin and oblastfaillogin are not getting updated accordingly.
Please let me know if you have any clue on this.
This is really urgent. Would appreciate quick help.
    Thanks.
    Mahendra.

    HI Sagar,
    Thanks for the response.
Another major update: When we tried creating user using OAM workflow, the obpasswordchangeflag got true value by default and password change functionality worked as expected. So it is obviously an issue with provisioning user through OIM. We manually created an attribute obpasswordchangeflag and provisioned a new user with value as true but still the user profile in OAM User Manager for attribute obpasswordchangeflag is empty. This means that there needs to be some mapping which we are missing i.e., an attribute in OIM has to be mapped correctly with OID attribute obpasswordchangeflag .
So we are searching for this mapping stuff. Do you have any other opinion on this?
    Thanks
    Mahendra.

  • ACS 'Password Change Rule' doesn't work with telnet

    Hello:
I am trying to configure that users have to change their passwords when they enter to a network appliance the first time they log in.
I have an ACS 4.0 appliance, the option "Disable TELNET Change Password against this ACS and return the following message to the users telnet session" is disable. When I try to enter to a Catalyst 6500, for instance, I type user and pass and I get Rejected (RADIUS is the protocol used).
In the ACS' reports I can see it appears the next error 'Authen Failed - CS Password Expired'.
I only have enabled the option "Apply password change rule" in Group Settings, the others options for "Password Aging Rules" are deactivated.
    Thanks for your help,
    Francisco

You'll need to be using TACACS+ to get password change to work.
    Doesnt work with RADIUS.

  • User Password change fails in OWA 2013

User Password change fails in OWA with this error: Your password couldn't be changed. Make sure the old password you typed is correct and that the new password meets the minimum security requirements.
We are migrating from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013.  Have mailboxes in both environments.  OWA 2007 password changes succeed (user mailbox is still in Exchange 2007).  When the user mailbox is moved to Exchange 2013, password changes fail
    with the above error.
We have the Exch 2013 servers are on Windows 2012 and we are running Exch 2013 CU3.   We have made changes to the Default Role Assignment Policy to prevent users from changing Contact information and setting user photos, etc.  We are not exactly
sure when user password changes stopped working, or even if they ever did work, although we recently installed our Prod Exch 2013 servers alongside our 2007 servers without any RBAC delegation implemented and a quick test of a user password change was successful.
I reversed all the changes to the Default Role Assignment Policy but the password change still fails.

    Hi,
Please try the following steps in your CAS server:
    1. Click Start > Run and type regedit and click OK.
    2. Navigate to the "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchange OWA" key.
    3. Set the ChangeExpiredPasswordEnabled value from 1 to 0.
    4. Close regedit and re-open it.
    5. Set the ChangeExpiredPasswordEnabled value from 0 to 1.
    6. Close regedit.
    7. After you configure this DWORD value, please reset IIS. The recommended method to reset IIS is to use IISReset /noforce from a command prompt.

  • AD Password Change Problem

    Hi,
We are using a number of Intel based OSX 10.4 machines bound to a Windows 2003 Forest / Domain.
We have run into a problem where users are unable to change there AD passwords using the Access applet from within System Prefs, it gives an error about a possible policy problem. I have tried doing the same thing using the Kerberos utility which gives similar results. If we set a user account to force the password to be changed the next login it works which is puzzling. Password changes are working without problem from within our Windows environment.
I was wondering if anyone can shed any light on the matter?
    Many Thanks

  • Lotus Notes Offline Password Change

Initial inquiry to determine if Identity Manager has a facility for managing the local "myuser.id" file maintained on a "Lotus Notes" workstation when the user changes their password while offline.
The requirement is that a user can change their password online/offline and that the passwordSync occur when reconnected to the network. The resource adapter in 6.x indicates support for the online password change but I cannot find a reference for offline password change support. Appreciate any feedback.

I have a jetpack, and when I try to "connect" to my ipad or phone, it keeps telling me I am not using the correct password.  I have tried everything.  I even changed the password, nothing is working.  Both are 4G, my ipad is an Air and my phone is a Iphone 5.  I can get connected to other wifi on these features but not with my jetpack.  Please help, I need to use this feature soon.  Thank you so much

Chances are you mis-typed a character in the Wifi password and the devices saved that information.  Now whenever you try to connect the device refers to the wrong password and the Jetpack does not accept your connection.  Tell your devices to forget the wireless connection and start over.
Once you enter the proper WiFi credentials the Jetpack will allow you to connect.

  • Why did my Apple TV password stop working suddenly and why does changing my iTunes account password online not fix the problem?

My iTunes account password suddenly stopped working. Strangely, it still works when I sign into iTunes but does not work when I try to purchase a movie through Apple TV. I followed the instructions to change my password and that still didn't fix the problem. Anybody encounter this? What's frustrating is that Apple wants to charge me a fee for tech support. You mean I have to pay them to help me give them more money to buy temporary content through my Apple TV? Anywho, please assist if you can.
