Loud static when connected to car through aux cable?

I've got my iPhone4 connected to my Mini Cooper through an aux cable and the static is unbearable. At first, it would hiss for 2-3 seconds before going away but now it's all the way through songs and super sensitive to touch (especially I touch the iPhone4 on the edges). This happening to anyone else?
Didn't happen with my 3g or Nano. Bought the Belkin Cable in the Apple store a year or two ago. Wondering if a bumper (which I'm planning on buying anyway) will limit some of the interference that's possibly moving through the antennae and into the aux cable?
Thoughts?

hi - theres a griffin cable that worked for me.... specifically made for this issue - for some reason its worse with the ip4, I also have a mini and it drove me crazy until i got this.....

can anyone tell what i can do to stop my ipod from switching on automatically whenever it is connected to my pc through usb cable? .. thanks

What do you mean it swithes on. Thats because its charging.
Now if your talking about it opening itunes, thats fixable. Just let it open up itunes & go to ur device & scroll down on summary until you see a box to select saying "automatically open itunes when this device is connect" make sure the little box isnt checked.

Turn up the volume on the shuffle... also make sure your car stereo is actually set to AUX.

have u used the CD that came with the iPod because that does a lot for helping with reconization of the iPod.
but your biggest problem is that your using a Pentium not mention Windows and Acer! are you that cheap???
I'm going to get an iBook G4 buy December because their cooler processors(don't say a thing about speed because that would make you technologically challenged) and their wonderful OS that doesn't crash unless you find a way to make it and reliable software.

  • HT201401 no music audio through headset when connecting to car or stereo

hello, Im not getting any music audio through the headset when connecting to my car or stereo I can hear iPhone noises though. I'm not having the same problem with iPhone earphones but dont think its lead compatability as both leads have worked fine until yesterday. i have tried updating and resetting my phone and no joy. Any ideas please as this is quite frustrating?

as stated then the ios devices does not support connecting by usb to anything but a computer or the ac charger
it does not work with usb mass stroage driver which devices such as stereos which have usb conenctors rely on
the rest of the smartphones and tablets is quiting that feature too
suppose they all feel the disc mode is too often used for copying media between people without the rights to play it

  • Very loud Static when first making or receiving a call

I am getting a Very loud Static (screeching sound) when first making or receiving a call 90% of the time.  Most of the time if I move the slider to a different position it will quit.  Other times I just have to call back.  Anyone having this problem?  Any solutions?

Have you made a call with the slider closed? If the issue still happens it could be a loose wire or connection, or a network problem since it only when making the first call.
I would take the device into the sprint store and have them do a network reprovision of the device. The network reprovision is a process where they delete the account on the network side and set it back up on the network side and program the phone with the new settings. If that does not resolve the issue then you can have the device warranty replaced right there at the sprint store.

  • "Comm Error" message when connecting to car stereo

When connecting my 80G IPod to the port in my car, the IPod screen rolls horizontally, then says "OK to disconnect", and the stereo displays the "Comm Error" message. I was able to connect to the stereo before but don't know what happened to cause this. Re-setting the IPod did not resolve the problem. Has anyone else seen this? Please help!

I’ve got a 30gb ipod doing the same thing. I know it’s not the car as my friends nano works fine on it. Have you have any success?

  • TS1425 iPod nano - loses functionality when connected to car radio

For the past week, when I connect my iPod nano (4th generation) to a car radio (and I've tried it in several) it brings up a splash screen of the radio manufacturer which stays on the iPod screen and prevents any further access to the iPod functionality. This only happens when connected to a car radio, otherwise the iPod functions normally. So in effect, the iPod is unusable when connected to the car radio, which is where I do most of my listening. Anyone know how to help eliminate this problem?

It sounds like a battery issue to me. When you connect it to the PC it draws power from the computer and thus it is able to function. Apparently it doesn't have enough of its own juice anymore. You probably just need a new battery.

  • Iphone 5 doesnt display contacts when connected to car

My Car doesnt display my contacts in my phonebook when connected via blutooth to my car??

What do you mean it does not display them?
Are you saying that they "disappear" when the device is connected via Bluetooth to the car?
Are you expecting them to automatically display on the screen when connected via Bluetooth?
Are they not displaying in the address book visible/accessible in the car's Bluetooth system?

  • Error 9672 when connecting Canon LBP5200 through AirPort

I have just bought a Canon LBP 5200 colour laser and installed the driver from Canon's web site to my PowerBook G4 (OS X.4.6). It works fine when connected directly on USB but refuses to do anything when connected through my AirPort. I get an error message "9672" but can find nothing on Apple or Canon's help pages. Help!
    PowerBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Despite being a total newbie, I good the damned thing to work--At least for now.
I first unplugged the airport and then the printer. Plugged them both back in and then went to Canon's site to redownload the drivers. Restarted the Macbook pro and to my astonishment it worked. Again, at least for now.....

  • Wheel mostly unusable when connected to car

Hello, for years, I used a third party connector which connects my ipod to my car stereo. I recently upgraded to a 80g Classic from my old 40g, and I find whenever I try and use the wheel, it barely works when connected to the stereo. When I disconnect the iPod, the wheel goes back to it's normal sensitivity and works fine. I've tried reconnecting my old 40g, and that still works fine. Anyone have any idea why this might be? Thanks!

If you are connecting via the dock connector, then I'm surprised that you say the 40Gb iPod wheel works when connected. Usually, control of the iPod is from the car stereo's controls, not always complete control though.
My sister-in-law's 2007 two-door (sport) Mazda will only play from the first five playlists by selecting the "preset" buttons on the car stereo via the Mazda iPod interface. But my 2006 Mazda 3 will play all Songs at random, providing that I set the iPod to do this before connecting via a third party connector. My car did not come with a built-in interface.
So the answer may be simply that the your Classic iPod does not like the car stereo's interface as much as the 40GB iPod. Try experimenting b setting the iPod before connecting as I do. It's a compromise, but at least it's my choice of music, not some radio station executive.
    Good luck.

  • Loud static when answering phone

Hi I get a very loud static sound for 1 sec when answering my 8330 phone, people on the other complain of it as well. is there a fix for this? very new to blackberry phones
    Thanks
    Ray

I have begun having the same problem. It is really loud and I have learned to answer with the phone far from my ear for the first second or so, but this still doesn't help the person being blasted on the other end. Does anyone know what causes this or if it is simply the beginning of the end of the device??

  • IPod plays same song sequence when connected to car.

    Hi everyone,
When I connect my iPod to the USB port in my car, it plays the same songs in the same order every time. Is there a setting that I don't know about? It doesn't do this when connected to my computer or when used for personal listening. I have had no other issues when it's connected to the car. The sound quality is wonderful. I had my sister connect her iPod and we got the same result.
    Thanks for your help!

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.

  • How do i use ipod in car with aux cable

Im trying to use my ipod touch 4 in the car with an aux cable and its not working, any suggestions?

Doesthe car's AUX input work  with oter devices?
Do headphones work on the iPod?
If headphones work then if the car's plug is fully inserted into the iPod, that is all you have to do with the iPod.
