LOV - Require User to always Search for Values option

Hi All,
I have build a Supervisor LOV,But when I click the LOV(Flash light Icon), the new LOV window opens and it fetches the entire list of Supervisors which takes lots of time and LOV times out in many of the cases.
I want the LOV window should open without bringing the entire list of suprevisor and let User enter some Name to be searched.
To achieve the same,I enabled the option
Require User to always Search for Values option
(Immediately Displays the Search Dialogue when LOV is exapnded)
But it is not working.
Is there a way to do it ??

Thanks for you updates.
I dont think so,that I need to create a table or Materialised view.Cause I am taking the data from per_all_people_f directly.All the employees who are managers.
But I want that when users clicks on the LOV ,it should open and should force user to search for some employee .
As of now it fetches the entire list while opening up,when the user clicks on LOV button.

I am fetching data in the following manner,
1.     Find the deliveries items based on the search criteria
2.     Pull in the material numbers for each item in the delivery
3.     Pull in Planned goods movement date LIKP-WADAT
4.     Exclude materials in the list where MARA-MAGRV = TB01
5.     Find the External material group value for the remaining list MARA-EXTWG
6.     Search for values in class ZEHS_DATA
7.     Pull in value for characteristics
i.     ZEHS_PLANT
ii.     ZEHS_RELEVANT
8.     Eliminate delivery items where ZEHS_RELEVANT = N for next steps, however display what was found
9.     With EMG for delivery items and ZEHS_RELEVANT = Y pull all fields.
In which the class ZEHS-DATA is having fields like:
ZEHS_FORM
ZEHS_RELEVANT
ZEHS_PLANT
COLOR_SUNNBR etc,
My question is how do I pull values from class ZEHS_DATA??

Hi
if you have values in a variable declared in CLASS, just call another method of this CLASS with an export paramtere ( export means exporting to the program)
depending the requirement the method can be PUBLIC or PRIVATE etc

Bought 4th Gen 3TB TC - streaming TV over the internet is now so slow and now is constantly buffering. It seems the Airport Utility is always 'searching for new networks' - don't know if this is the problem. It's not the internet speed as checked that.

Bought 4th Gen 3TB TC - streaming TV over the internet is now so slow and now is constantly buffering. It seems the Airport Utility is always 'searching for new networks' - don't know if this is the problem. It's not the internet speed as checked that. I took my old router upstairs and was streaming TV via my ipad seamlessly - the same program via the TC was constantly buffering.
I just expected to be able to plug in the TC, so a simple set-up and experience wireless both upstairs and downstairs in my house. For some reason the range is low and speed veru disappointing.
I am far from being an IT expert but I would welcome advice about setting up this TC so we can enjoy the product as it was designed. Please HELP!

No silver bullet........but my suggestions may drive you in the right direction.
1. Unplug the power cable from the TC and wait 10-15 minutes before powering back up.   Seriously wait!
      Proceed to #2 if this dosen't help.
2. Unplug the power cable from the TC, ubplug the power cable from your Broadband Modem (assuming it's a cable modem), disconnect ethernet, and cable from modem.
2a. Wait 10-15 minutes then re-connect cable, ethernet, and power back to modem (your modem should power up unless you have a power switch) wait for all the modem lights to come on EXCEPT activity.
2b. Connect ethernet from modem to TC, and plug in the power cable to TC.
      Proceed to #3 if this dosen't help.

Iphone 4s always searching for network

I already tried the article that have suggested about
iPhone: Troubleshooting No Service

but it doesn't solve the problem. I even tried to restore to factory setting and replacing the antenna but still the same problem " always searching for network". I referred this problem on 2 repair shop but they said it related to motherboard. Is there service center for apple in Singapore or Philippines? What would be best thing to do for my current iphone?

modem--Mac--TC
Then no the TC will not act as router.
It should be
Modem--TC--Mac
But instead of using wireless, use ethernet.. or at least try it and tell us if it works.

N95 Browser - search for wlan option vanished

Hi,
In the browser on my N95-1 (v30 firmare), the option to search for wlan had disappeared. The only options are my home wlan (when at home), and the various GPRS access points. How can get the search for wlan option back?

"search for WLAN" option gone missing

My N82 had the "search for WLAN" option below the "select access point". but since of today it has gone missing and i have no idea how to get it back.
below is the option i'm referring to which i found on the net because i can't post a pic of my phone cos the "search for wlan" has disappeared.

cos i'm afraid i might mess my phone up and don't want to take that chance.
i think this happened while i was messing around the access points menu in settings trying to delete the unwanted access point it had stored there.
i don't think i deleted it unless it was there with another name?
maybe like default or something???
isn't there a way to add a 'search for wlan' shortcut there like it was originally?

How to search for value records for a specific period of time?

Hi,
I am building an application where I need to use BDB to store tons of call records.
In the call records, I have the following fields:
1. from-caller
2. to-caller
3. begin-time
4. end-time
5. account-code
6. user-code
I want to use end-time's microsecond representation to serve as the Key.
So, how can I do the following data lookup?
1. Search for all Value records between 2009-10-11 to now()
2. Search for all Value records between 2009-10-11 to now() with account-code = 100
3. Search for all Value records between 2009-10-11 to now() with account-code = 100 and user-code=10
Is there any similar examples out there that I can refer to?

My wifi is always searching for networks

is it normal for my mac to always be searching for networks?

If you mean that it is searching when you click on the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar, then yes that is normal. If that is what you are seeing, it is searching just to give you a current status of available networks. If you are connected to a network it shouldn't be searching when you haven't clicked on the icon.

HT204370 If I pause a rented movie and then try to resume play, I am told that the movie has not been downloaded and to go to iTunes in the menu and download it. There is no download section showing and the search for rentals option produces nada...

The time it takes to load is dependent on your network. Rentals made on ATV won't be available on any other device.
What is your current connection. Use speedtest.net
Make sure DNS is set to automatic (settings - general - network)
If on wifi try Ethernet
Go to istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC) to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise

Require user specific F4 functionality for a field in a program output

Dear all,
My requirement is i am using a field for ex: bukrs, name1 for an output. when iam using this two field in a program, if that program executes, i need F4 functionality for user specific. f4 functionality should show depends upon the name1.
In a template i have these two variables, when i give name1 as 'ABCD' and press f4 for the bukrs it should display only bukrs which are mapped to ABCD. Lets assume one table is there for name1 mapper to bukrs.
How it is possible. if so please let me know.

I think solution to your problem lies in using MATCHCODE addition to parameters and select-options as well.
(This is from SAP F1-Help)

This addition links the input field of the parameter to a search help search_help from the ABAP Dictionary. The name of the search help must be entered directly. For the input field of the parameter on the selection screen, the input help key is displayed. When the input help (F4) is requested, the user is displayed the hit list from the search help. When an entry is selected, the respective value is placed into the input field. If no search help for the specified name exists in the ABAP Dictionary, a message is displayed in the status line when the input help is requested.
The addition MATCHCODE OBJECT cannot be used together with the additions AS CHECKBOX or RADIOBUTTON.
*Note*
The predecessors of search helps in the ABAP Dictionary were socalled matchcode objects. This is why you have the name MATCHCODE OBJECT for this addition. Matchcode objects that have not yet been replaced by search helps continue to be supported by this addition.
*Example*
Linking the parameter p_carrid with a suitable search help. When you choose the input help on the selection screen, a list with the names of the airline carriers is displayed. If a name is selected, the corresponding abbreviation is placed in the input field.

User Exit to Search for Duplicate BP Records

Hai Guys,
I want to use a "User Exit" that gives me a warning message when I am creating a BP with the same name and zipcode which is already presnet in the system.
Right now we are not getting any warning messgae and hence we are having duplicate BP records.
SO I want the warning message pop up with the already created BP number presnet in the system.

We are on CRM 5.0 and face a similar requirement of duplicate check for BPs. Can you please tell me if it can be achieved without using third party tools? If yes, could you please give an approach (BADIs that will have to be implemented). I'm on CRM 5.0 and could not find the views/tables CRMV_BP_* in TCode SM30. Please help.

Searching for values in a specific field using REST Search

To conduct a Search using REST...you only have the querytext parameter which searches all fields. How can I search within a specific field using REST?

You can use the following code as an example to post a query. The example shows how to search against the title managed property. It also shows you how to bring back certain properties for viewing and refiners. You can also do the same with a GET.
