Love lossless but have playback problems

I have a 3G 30gig iPod. I have about 10 CD's ripped to it in Apple Lossless. Oddly, I'm getting jerky, audio cutouts at the beginning of the song, some songs start playing and then skip to the next song, or the end of the song gets cut-off. When it does play correctly I'm getting great sound via an Emmeline SR-71 headphone amp., and Sennheiser 600 headphones.
Note none of this happens when I rip in Apple's default standard. Battery is fully charged when I do this, and the battery indicator is at least 3/4ths full when these problems happen.
I'm sure this my be some kind of buffering problem. Do the new one suffer from this problem with Apple Lossless? Do they have bigger buffers? Just wondering?

I'm having similar problems... the songs skip and the counter doesn't act smoothly. It seems to be a problem with the software, since I haven't had problems with previous versions and the same setup I currently have; my library on an external drive and connecting to speakers through airport express base station. I've tried to get a previous version of itunes where I seemed to have no problems, but have found it impossible. Followed some links within this forum and the downloads came up empty. Apple should really make it easier to revert to previous downloads until they have the bugs really worked out! That would be the responsible thing to do for their customers.

Remove the song in question from the sync list and see if the rectifies the problem.
If it does, then iTunes believes the song no longer exists on your drive and that will need to be corrected.

Never mind, I just tried it again and all of a sudden it worked. All I did was retype the last part of my e-mail address.

I have used Pages 09 and Keynote without any major problems until this new update. I have read many of the fixes but have a problem. When you get Pages 09 and Keynote back, Apples continues to want to update the 09 system. So it stays updated.

I can't say that I have had a problem playing videos in Flash because I could always play them in browsers other than Firefox.
In Firefox Tools>options>Advanced Hardware acceleration is turned on.
I don't know if that is different that tuning it off and on in Flash or not, but for now it is a moot point.
As I stated in my previous message, after following all earlier suggestions/instructions nothing helped. But The latest one, someone suggested that maybe version 17 of Flash might be a stable version.
I made no other changes except to install it, a few days ago, and so far so good.

Recent Convert from PC World - Bought Macbook Pro and Love It, but have ???

Hey Guys - I apologize for the noobish questions, but I just recently purchased a Macbook Pro (just this month), and have been acclimating myself to it. So far, I am very impressed, as I have been a PC user all my life.
Having said that, I was hoping you guys can point me in the right direction. I know that there are certain limitations to upgrading a laptop (regardless of PC or Apple), but one of the things that I would love to confirm are the upgrade options for my Macbook Pro for the following:
1 - CPU (currently, I have the 2.53Ghz Core 2 Duo - any upgrade options here)
2 - Hard drive (currently, I have the 320 GB/5400rpm hdd) - I would love to have more space.
I visited the apple store on line, and just want to do my research before purchasing items. I am still a little fuzzy on whether or not anything I see on the applestore would apply.
Anywho, any guidance, assistance, direction, points of reference, websites, as well as any other upgrades I may have missed would be most appreciated. Thanks!

The CPU is not a supported upgrade. However, there is a tiny chance that third parties will provide an upgrade, as they have for older Apple laptops. It is not something most people do. Performance bottlenecks in a laptop are more often the speed or capacity of the hard drive and RAM, or the graphics card (you can't upgrade the graphics card at all).
The hard drive is extremely easy to replace on the new MacBook Pro. Even on the older Apple laptops, I've ended up upgrading the drive in every one I've owned in the last 15 years. As bigger, cheaper disks become available you should have no problem swapping them in.

Most likely your carrier has not enabled texting on your phone.

I cannot access online statements for my credit card account when using firefox, but have no problem when using safari.

When I attempted to check the monthly statement for my credit card account and clicked on "See statement", the next screen that appeared, which was labeled Online Statement", was blank. In the past, I have never had any problems with this. When I checked with the bank that issued the credit card, the representative I spoke with said that it was a browser issue and that, since I was working on a Mac, I should try using Safari. When I switched to Safari, I had no problem bringing up my statement. But I would prefer to be able to use Firefox to obtain information like this, since it's the browser I always use.

4) this error appeared to me:

5) I tried to remove the ".java" from the command but another error appeared whic is:

I love Firefox but have had to abandon it because rpc.html pops up everytime I enter the home page.

I usse comcast.net as my isn obviously and in setting up a new computer, it constantly get the message "you have selected to run rpc.html" as a popup. It is driving me crazy so if you can't help me defeat this, I will have to go back to IE and never use Firefox again. Please help!

Thank you, cor-el, for those links, but that's exactly my problem. The first thing I did was set a new home page exactly as the above articles suggest. I have had Firefox for years so I know my way around the options menu. I also made a few other tweaks as well, such as changing my theme. But every time I reopen Firefox, everything reverts back as if I hadn't made any changes at all. I have the updated Firefox on my laptop and no problems like this... Think this is my cue give Chrome a try on my desktop...

I play Paradise Cove, occasionally I purchase coins and/or gems. There have been several times when I was either charged the wrong amount or charged for a non purchase. I love playing this game but cannot trust that I can purchase what I want without getting ripped off. One case in point was a purchase of $4.99x2, this was for a certain amount of coins and a pacage of $4.99 for gems, which I did recieve however I was charged $9.99x2 for both and there is no plce to take the concern directly. I just recieved a charge of $4.99 for coins, I am not sure of the date of purchace, if it is somewhere in the past week I did not purchase it,my husband has been sick for weeks and I have been tending to him. If there is a purchase they need to charge you within a few days and give you a day of purchase date. What do i do and how can I get to the people directly about the game purchases?

I bought a 4th generation ipod shuffle and got the newest itunes download. Whenever I try to go to set it up, it shows me the squares to click but doesnt say what I am clicking on. I have an older shuffle as well but have no problems with it.

I have an ipod shuffle (about 2-3 years old) and bought the 4th generation shuffle for my daughter. When I try to set hers up, it takes me to a summary page, and on the left I can see ipod, version, options but the squares that I would click on have nothing next to them. So I don't know what I am trying to put on the ipod. Then if I click on music (sync music, playlist, artist), again, I can see the squares but not the words next to them. Does this have anything to do with the other shuffle or computer sharing? I am unhappy right now and have to get this fixed in two days. HELP!!
