LOVE the new green

In the interest of blanace I thought I'd post to say I really like the new green and the fact that it's a different from mosy iOS green apps. Maybe no one noticed but spotify rebranded in March http://www.wearecollins.com/work/spotify/this green is their new house colour, it's already on the webiste and also this forum. If anyone thinks they'll change back because of threats to cancel a subscription I think you will be mistaken. I think people need to move on and worry about real problems in life, not an app icon colour.:smileyvery-happy:

Love LOVE LOVE the new highlights treatment tool! But I do have a suggestion!

I have been using plugs to get the kind of treatment I now see in Lightroom4!!! Love LOVE LOVE the new treatment panel! It really makes it much easier and significantly quicker to edit all the photos of a weding, etc. I was able to use the sync function to carry my settings of whites and highlights over to all pictures but I don;t know which control actually syncs this new feature... Can you add some distinction into the sync panel to be able to sync more specifically the desired selections? At the moment I see the exact same sync pad as I always have though the treatment panel has changed. I understand that you pulled some of the features from under Tone Control but the whites come from elsewhere (not sure actually from where). It would be nice to be able to sync JUST the whites or JUST the blacks, etc., without having to sync it all. Can you create a new sync panel?

On Windows, you can only open one at a time. Lightroom checks for another copy running at startup and simply transfers control to that one. Libraries don't matter. It worked that way with the last Beta.
On Macs, you can run both simultaneously.

Love the new forums... but

love the new forums... but hate the performance. Keep in mind my internet connection is 20MB/S download speed, there are times the pages wont even finish loading and you have to stop and reload again and/or very slow loading times. Of course, there are times the performance is as expected, but rarely. I hope Adobe plans to support the forums with better hosting.

As an od adage says: "Don't feel like the Lone Ranger".
which means everyone and his , brother, sister, Aunts, Uncles, mothers's and Father, and cousins on the Acrobat forums are complaing about the Speed.
There is really we as Users of the Forums can do about it other than complain and hope adobe will do something about it when they get finished with their easter holiday. Maybe that will be before their 4th of July vacation.

I love the new form generation stuff in FB and I've created a form from a create autogenerated service.
When the user fills in the form I call the method I assign it to a token in a call responder
        createtbMysteryShopperResultsResult2.token = tbMysteryShopperResultsService.createtbMysteryShopperResults(tbMysteryShopperRe sults2);
The service just a void one
However if the users fills the form again and called the same service I get an error:
Item with id 'tbMysteryShopperResultsRPCDataManager:#:0' already exists. Error on destination 'tbMysteryShopperResultsRPCDataManager'
The primary key column is auto incremented in the ms sql database so I do not understand this error?
Any advice would be great, this problem has been bugging me for days now
A lot of the code generated stuff I don't understand so I don't know where to look for errors

Sorry for the late response, but I think I've found a workaround, I encounter exactly the same trouble in my application, very rare trouble but more often when the application runs on touch screen. I think It's like the user double-click on the button firing the action of create item twice, in my case it should not arised because i remove the button on click but ... sometimes it seems it should :-/ By default the RemoteObject wrapps in the DataService is in multiple mode , see concurrency in RemoteObject source :

Love the new version! Just one small issue with pixelpoint stylus

love the new version with different width strokes - makes a huge difference!
one minor issue is the undo button on the Adonit pixelpoint stylus only works intermittently. I find when it doesn't work I do one or two more strokes after which it works. So its not entirely unworkable but is a bit annoying.

We are ipod users just like you. We cannot make any updates at all.
There will very likely no way that their will be any more updates for original or 2nd gen ipod touches.

It is a fair question and Apple have obviously used some original photography for the new product shots. Wait and see if they are included in Mac OS X 10.8.3..

I love the new WEB UI builder interface and design

I absolutely love the "NEW" Web UI builder user interface. I wish they would make this the NORM for the LabVIEW environment. I love the WPF style control cutomization. I love the way it is laid out and how "EASY" it is to use. Everything is right in front of you. No right clicking to get this menu or that menu. I love the Ribbon on the top. Form layout is MUCH nicer and easier
OK LabVIEW developers lets get this for the regular LabVIEW Environment. The new controls for 2011 are a step in the right direction as far as the look and feel of the UI but the LabVIEW environment is YEARS behind other developement environments UI capability.

And the catch is that it's still an Early Access Release. From the Web UI Builder FAQ:
"The term Early Access Release is a term NI uses to communicate that the initial version of new NI software has one or more caveats associated with it that potential customers should consider, and that the product is targeted at early adopters. For example, features that many customers might expect could be absent, or the usability of the product may be lacking."
In other words, there's even more to come!

Love the new macbook pro but still no BluRay?

I love the look of the new series of macbook pro's all the additional features yet still no BluRay which is very disappointing, with that feature added this would of been the ultimate series, very disappointed Apple

I'm personally more disappointed the optical drive is still present. I wish Apple had removed it and made better use of the space giving the users more choices with external drives. Then all Apple would need to do is update DVD player to play Blu-rays. Or Apple could sell the Blu-ray player on the App Store. Apple is making the same mistake Sony made with the PSP and UMD. People that already have made an investment in Blu-ray movies don't want to repurchase them again!

IPhone 4 - Love the new design, BUT worried about the antenna.

I want an iPhone4, it looks great, and has everything I would want. What worries me is the fact that the antenna is on the outside of the phone, all around the edges. I remember that most radiation from cell phones comes from the antenna, where the signal is received. Does this mean the radiation levels on the new iPhone will be much higher since your hand is fully in contact with stainless steel band?

I don't think Apple will commit such a grave error in phone design to have a device with the antenna touching someone's ear.
I've looked at the pictures located here http://www.apple.com/iphone/gallery/
Looking at the 2'nd pic, in the lower exterior metal band there is a space that separates the lower metal band from the top metal band. The same size and form corresponds with the location of previous Iphone's antenna allocated space.
This can be double checked by going to FCC's test https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/ViewExhibitReport.cfm?mode=Exhibits& RequestTimeout=500&calledFromFrame=N&applicationid=573413&fccid=%27BCG-E2380A%27 and verifying the 11a SAR report file.
At page 27, on the GSM 1900Mhz, having the device parallel and touching the face, the value is 0.73 SAR. Using it in a tilted 15 degrees position (ear touch, lower part about 2 inches away from face), the SAR is 0.30. If the antenna were to be continuous all the way around, the SAR values would not change since the top part is in contact with the ear at all times in both tests.
I hope someone can confirm how the antenna is actually used in the new iPhone, I'm interested too since to me at least, having an antenna emitting so close to the ear means No Buy, antenna away from top = possible buy.

I love the new touch screen features!

I just wanted to say that whomever added the new touch screen features to Illustrator CC is AWESOME! Very cool! Great work! Touch type tool, free transform, multi-touch zoom/panning... very nice!

Love the new iCloud Drive!

I am very happy with how the new iCloud drive works.
It makes a lot more sense to me that I can now select where I want a file to be saved,
rather than having to make that decision before hand, and then having to resort to all
sorts of tricks to move a file from iCloud onto my desktop.

The iCloud Drive wasn't designed to hold an iPhoto Library. It probably is designed to hold the master photos for the new Photos application that is currently being developed for Yosemite and will be released early next year. We won't know how it will integrate with the new app until it's released.
iPhoto libraries require a local volume that is formatted OS X Extended (journaled)l

Yes, I agree they're nice in an informational sense, but the downside is a continuing creep to a very cluttered interface compared to software 1.0/1.1.
My better half will have no idea what half the icons mean as she doesn't touch iTunes to compile playlists herself.

Good to see some positive feedback, rather than the negative comments we often see here! iMovie '11 is a fun program to use. Like any software, it will have its annoying glitches and missing elements here and there, but overall it's a credit to the developers.
Like you, I'm enjoying the new features, some of which are not as obvious as the Trailers, for example, "Allow Black" in the Viewer when using letter-boxed or pillar-boxed photos with the Ken Burns effect - or the Rolling Shutter adjustment feature to help correct motion problems ("jello" effect) when stabilizing clips shot with CMOS cameras.
Apple showed they listen by improving audio editing ("rubber banding" similar to HD 6) and re-introducing a "timeline" option for those who prefer to see everything in a straight line, rather than spread down the screen like word processing. We could go on, but I'll stop there!

Love the new FrontRow 2.0 not so much with ATV version

I took the ATV plunge on Friday when I purchased Leopard. Installing Leopard first, I was surprised by the support of Events in the new Front Row. Now that I've got my 40GB ATV streaming I'd really like to view my photos via Events. Any idea when Apple will be updating this feature?

Yes, it would be extremely nice if the AppleTV software were to be upgraded to the level of functionality as Front Row 2, especially with native playback of VIDEO_TS folders in FR2. I really, really hope Apple updates the AppleTV very soon...
