"Low Battery" notification app

Can anyone point me to a simple app for low battery warning that will sound an alert every few minutes? There are a couple, but one has a very quiet alert that can't be changed and the other one doesn't get good reviews.
There are such features in the various battery managers, but I don't need that elaborate of an app.
Thanx, Geri O

I use Battery Status Pro (It is free). There is a very audible notification sound, along with a video notification. In addition, you can set at what  percentage of battery life the notification occurs. There is a constant visual in the notification bar, and the app also measures battery temp.

  • Enabling low battery notification

I've got a droid razr m using android 4.4.2 (kitkat). I want to install an audible low battery alert. I selected a sound from windows ( a .wav file) and converted it to .ogg and uploaded it to the phone's notifications directory. Would this be enough, or would I need an app for it?
I saw, in other threads, that lowbattery.ogg is located in \system\media\audio\ui. I don't see that directory listed (using usb from computer to phone). I also saw mention of using "root explorer", which I am not familiar with -- I'm using "windows explorer" in windows vista.
    Help appreciated.
    Thanks.

If you are allowed to change the low battery notification sound then you should be able to place the file in the user accessible notifications tones folder (/sdcard/notifications) and you can select the file from the available tones. The folder path you listed /system/media/audio/ui is not in the user accessible area of the phone. To make changes to that folder you have to void your phone warranty and discussing the steps to do so aren't allowed on this community forum because of the Terms of Service here.

  • Is jailbreaking the only way to disable low battery notifications?

this is so annoying and i dont care about this feature, i know i should plug my phone in but i dont like having to sit next to an outlet to let my phone charge while i play street fighter 4, and turning off notifications doenst stop this low battery notification from showing up, does apple really want me to jailbreak my iphone or what lol?

Jailbreaking also increased the likelihood that you'll never be able to update or restore your iPhone again.  Search "error 1015" in this forum - there are more and more who are SOL.  If you're looking forward to iOS 5, you may never get it.
Don't believe the hackers who tell you jb is "perfectly safe" and all you have to do is restore to get rid of it.  They tell you this just before making you accept an "as is" user agreement, holding them harmless for any damages.

  • Laptop shutdows abruptly on low battery notification

Mine is 3 months old G550 laptop...It shutdows abruptly whnever my laptops show the low battery notification...the notification happens at 20 % of the total battery capacity...And when u again power it on it shows 0% battery when u connect it with ac.....this thing has happened twice with me....Sometimes i face no prblm at all and the battery continues till it discharges fully.....So what's the main rreason behind this..\kindly help me out on this issue....

your battery may have a factory issue, 3 months is too soon for any battery to have faults,
try conditioning the battery by: letting the battery drain to less than 10% before charging it
let the battery cool before charging it up fully (dont drain your FULL battery to 0% then charge it right back to full.)
try not to leave the laptop plugged up with a full battery, or remove the battery and use ac
try not to charge the battery before it's under 10%

  • Low Battery Notification sound

I discover that when batter level drop to either 20% or 10%, there would be a notification shown in the IPhone but there is no alert sound. This mean that if I dont check my phone I would not be able to know that my phone is in low battery.
Is ther any way to create the alert sound for low battery notification?

Noted. But in the event, if I dont check my phone due to I am very busy, the battery may be fully used up without I knowing it. Is my understanding correct?

  • Kiosk Mode no low battery notification?

I was in Kiosk Mode and got no low battery notification. Just spent 20 min wondering why the hell my computer turned off on me, since I thought I had enough juice.
Am I alone? If not, wth?

The warning is supposed to appear when the battery is down to about 5%.
You could try resetting the NVRAM. But there is no way to test if that solves the problem unless you are willing to run the battery down again.
    Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the third time.
    Release the keys.

Does anyone know if there is a way of creating/turning on an audiable low battery notification? I can't find one.

    Hello
You can set a notification sound in the control panel => sounds and audio devices => Windows sounds.
There you can set a sound for low battery.

  • Put low battery notification in notification area?

Is it possible to make the low battery notification appear in the notification area like the other notifications so it doesn't interrupt me while using my iPod Touch?

How often do you dismiss it? O_o
Sounds like you have a battery problem.

  • Change low battery notification time.

    Hi there,
OS X notifies low battery notification, when there is 10 minutes time remaining, but I have a problem since my battery health is between 80 85% sometimes my laptop goes down before that 10 minutes and consequently without any low battery notification, so I need to change it for example to 20 minutes or sth like this.
does anyone know how to change this time?

Download a program called SlimBatteryMonitor. It provides more options and takes up less space in the menu bar.

  • Disable Wireless Trackpad low battery notification?

That's basically it. Does anyone know how to?
The low battery message keeps poping up on the notification center every 10 minutes - and I'm still up to 15% battery. I don't want to use the trackpad for the next week having to close the notification every 10 minutes.
    Thanks.

Yep, super annoying as I get at least another 2 months out of the battery.  Two months of constant reminders.
Surely there must be a way to stop this?  Or at least to modify it's behaviour so that it only comes up when down to 5% and only reappears once per day?

  • IPod Touch: Can I change the percentage of battery remaining for the low battery notification?

    See question above...thanks!

Thanks, lllaass. I re-read my question and just want to make sure what I'm asking is clear. I'd like to make the Low Battery warning appear at 10% charge left instead of 20%. Unless someone has other input, I'll assume it can't be done.
    Thanks again.

  • Bluetooth Low Battery Notification

My bluetooth mighty mouse kept on losing it's connection - I then looked to see that only 5% was remaining in the battery. Now, before Snow Leopard I received warnings that the battery was low so I could then charge it up. Is this happening to anyone else where they are not receiving low battery notices?

Yes, I miss this feature too. Why did Apple take it out. I appreciate the power percentage display more than the arbitrary Green, Yellow, Red bars, but now I don't get a warning when my batteries are running low. On top of this, the battery level readings seem really inaccurate. I placed freshly recharged batteries in to my BT Mighty Mouse and the reading only indicated "73%". 5 minutes later, I checked again and it ready "66%" which was alarming. So I checked about 30 minutes later and it read "68%". Does anyone know what's going on with this? It's bad enough the low battery warning is gone, but now it seems Leopard is pretty poor at determining those battery levels.

  • Low Battery Notification

I'd figure that the iPhone would play a warning tone if the phone had low battery power. Did the guys in charge decide that it would be best to get rid of the sound altogether? Like most phones probably kill themselves by repeating the "I'm dying tone!" all the time.
I think it would be a little convenient if the tone played on the reminder that the batter was low and at each point the phone would let you know (20%, 15% 10%...)
Point being, is the iPhone ever going to have a battery level warning tone?

  • Low battery audible notification

I've had my BB8200 pearl flip for about 6 months now.  Occasionally I forget to charge my battery and will have the phone in my pocket and it will die and turn off.  I might go hours before noticing it has turned off and often I have missed an important call.  With previous phones I have had they would always have an intermittent beep or audible warning me the battery was low, I would then charge it up if I could or I would turn functions off to extend battery life until I could get it recharged.
It surprises me that there is no option for this kind of feature for this phone, is this the case for all blackberry phones or just this model?
Is there any chance that it was just an overlooked feature and might be added in a future release of OS update?
This forum has been great so for in helping me answer questions with out even having to post, I just read through previous posts and can usally find my answer that way.  So far I have only seen one other post regarding the low battery notification... it had 0 replies.
Thanks for any and all help offered.

You know what, I think I have heard the beep in my earpiece... I can't honestly say I have heard it beep audibly from the speaker.
You could check out MeterBerry, which will give you a low battery alarm.
