Low Battery

Hi,
Was wanting to know, as the battery in my curve lasts not more than 2-3  hrs since my job ask of continuous follow ups. And as I'm always traveling, its hard to find a charging point everywhere.
Could I use a battery of a different company with same specs in my 9300 (3.7v, 1150 mAh, 4,3 Wh C-S2) or please suggest a battery of which specs would give me more talk time?

No, you need to use the prescribed CS2 battery in the device.
If you check with Seidio online, you'll find they do make an acceptable extended version of this battery.
Here are some good charging tips, please read and you'll see that many of them will apply to you.

  • T500 performance loss and restart issue after low battery shutdown

    Hi,
Some days ago I experienced a significant loss in performance of my T500. Unfortunately it seems to be a continuous loss and the games I play, e.g. empire total war that did run ok before are nearly unplayable at the moment.
Additionally, when the computer shuts down due to low battery, it no longer manages to resume windows but always crashs during reboot (black screen and hard disk symbol is moving, no other activity for 10 minutes)
I am working with the standard vista installation and installed all automatic updates, but also every time when I shutdown the computer, no matter how long it has been running (even after 1 minute and after a rebooting 3 minutes ago), the red shutdown symbol in start shows that an update needs to be installed.
    any ideas?
    Many thanks in advance !

Well, the problem, seem's to have reoccured: Battery ran out (even the indicator leds on the side didn't show any life), Time reset  to 1.1.2001, again some rebooting and setting the time again...
Is this a sign of a degrading battery health status?
It looks like reseting the SMC didn't help after all.

  • Ios 7.1 = no Wifi on iPhone 4s   very low battery runtime... HELP!!!

ios 7.1 = no Wifi on iPhone 4s + very low battery runtime... HELP!!!

Welcome, sorry to hear your news, there are numerous threads on this issue. Try the trouble shooting on the other threads, I do not recommend sticking it in the freezer or heating with a hair dryer though,
If it's within warranty and trouble shooting doesn't work, get it. Ack to apple ASAP and get it replaced.
Many others are in the same position, who also have a 4s
    Good luck

  • After trying to down ios 7, iPad will not charge, will not open and will not connect to itunes.  The only display I will get is the apple logo, or low battery warning.

After trying to download ios 7, iPad will not charge, will not open and will not connect to itunes.  Sometimes, screen will switch from Apple logo to low battery notification, but doesn't look as if battery is charging.

Connect with cable to computer.   Your ipad is in recovery mode.

My ipod 60gb classic is showing as fully charged until I connect it to my pc when it comes up with the error message, 'please wait very low battery' and the little wheel goes round and nothing happens, can anyone explain why this is and what i can do?

I have worked my way through the assistant and nothing works. I have tried connecting in disc mode but although the screen on the ipod is showing that the device is charged and that it is in disc mode as soon as I connect it to the computer it comes up with the error message 'please wait very low battery' and stays like that until I disconnect when it appears to be OK again. I have tried on both pc and mac.
BTW the ipod is an ipod video not classic if that makes any difference.
    Thanks

  • No sleep mode at low battery - data loss and time reset

I'm having this issue for about a year now:
When I run my macbook pros Battery down, there comes the low battery warning. After a while the system just goes down without suspending anything to my harddisk. When I restart my computer it does a normal start and after logging in I'm experiencing a lot messages due to the reset time. I correct my system-time and restart my mac and the system is back to normal.
Usually I'd say: Replace your CMOS-Battery (I know I have an EFI-Firmware), but where is it?. Or in other words: Is there a "System"-Battery, that would prevent my mac from forgetting the time?
Since I'm not running down my battery to 0 very often I only experience this issue from time to time and never took time to do anything about it.
I would also appreciate a workaround so that my mac immediately starts shutting down, after the low battery warning. That would be great.
    iStats battery-Status says: Health:83%, Cycles:333, charge 50%...

Restore to factory settings. That will use the latest iOS and then restore from a backup.
Never, never, never attempt an update/upgrade on any portable computer device without plugging it into its AC charger.

  • 30GB iPod Video not being recognized by iTunes and low battery warning

This is without a USB connection to mu Vista machine
    1. I hear a clicking sound (it comes from the HD) on start up.
    2. A dark Apple icon appears
    3. Then the back light comes on with the sad face iPod icon and exclamation point.
    4. It then shuts down and screen goes off.
Plug it into a USB port and same issue but the screen shows an un-backlit "Please Wait Very Low Battery" message.
If I leave it plugged into the USB port it just cycles through the process.
Note too that the iPod is not recognized by iTunes.
I have done the reset process without success.
I thiught I had a bad HD and/or battery so I replaced both. I get the same issues.
    Anyone have an idea?
    DAve

Well I tried putting the old hard drive back in and it was recognized in iTunes. All is well now.
I think the issue is that once the battery is totally run down there is no way for the thing to get enough power from a USB port to bootstrap itself.
I finally let thing recharge from a wall adapter all day.
I suggest you try to get it charged via the car adapter overnight. Of course the car port must be supplying power with the key off.
The Apple store people said they fix this type of issue by charging the ipod for 20 mimutes with a high power charger (I assume this is a 1394 type).
All these issues coulkd be solved with a better design,

  • I recently discovered my ipod touch would no longer turn on. All it does is show the low battery sign, and that is if it's connected to a computer. No matter how long I leave it charging, it does that. Is there a way to fix it?

Hi, I recently discovered my ipod touch would no longer turn on. I've tried everything! All it does is show the low battery sign, and that is if it's connected to a computer. No matter how long I leave it charging, it does that. Is there a way to fix it? All I want are my contacts and my old calendar back. These did not sync with iTunes like my photos, music, and video. I can probably get an older, replacement iPod, but I don't want to have to readd all my important dates and reminders, as well as contact information. I guess I have two questions:
    1) is there a way to get my ipod to start working again?
    2) is there a way to get my old contacts and calendar back again?

    Try here:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
To get the calender and contacts back if you can't get the iPod working is to restore the new iPod from the backup of the old one.

  • Ipod touch 2nd generation goes from apple logo to low battery symbol when trying to turn it on.  Won't show up in itunes either.  Is it a dead battery? Help please.

Hi, I have a 2nd Geration iPod touch.  The ipod will NOT go past the apple logo when turning on.  After about three minutes of waiting the screen will go blank.  So, I push the sleep/wake button and the low battery symbol appears, indicating that the ipod is being charged.  After about three minutes the ipod goes to sleep.  Wake up and the red battery shows up again but this time the apple logo appears after about three minutes and stays on for 5 minutes before going to sleep again.  When you wake it up it is on the red battery again. and the process repeats. The battery symbol never increases from the low mark.(no matter how long I charge it.)  It also gets a little bit hot after a while.  The ipod will NOT show up in iTunes either.  Please help thank you.

iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

If not successfl then an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. Maybe a battery.

  • Is ipod touch low battery life normal?

I just bought my new ipod touch. I found the battery life is quite short. Every day i have to charge it twice. Now I am keeping to use my ipod touch as less as possible to manage charging it once a day. This is really not compared to a regular phone, which you probably can use 3 or 4 days to recharge again.
The so-called dock adapter inside the box is quite tricky! I thought it is the power adapter. Normally when you buy a cellphone, it comes with the power adapter. But for ipod touch, you have to buy power adapter separately! I even don't know what's the use of this 'plastic' dock adapter. i called Apple and asked "You call this plastic piece an adapter!". It's a little funny!
During my first week using my ipod touch, it got stuck or crashed TWICE, two times! One time is when it downloaded an email with a 8Mb attachement.
In addition, I feel quite confusing with so many accounts with Apple, such as Apple store account, iTune account, iChat account, MobileMe account, and even this discussion forum account. Now I have 3 Apple IDs!
The use of MacBook is so far so good.
This is my experience with Apple's products!
Welcome comments and sharing your experience! i just couldn't help keeping myself silent.

Is ipod touch low battery life normal
Yes and no. Even in normal usage, Safari and videos can kill the battery in 4 - 5 hours, whereas music with the screen and WiFi off should last for 22 hours. Most iPT's can last for days in sleep mode, even with WiFi left "ON".
My previous iPod Touch had no battery problems -- the charge would only drop significantly when being used, not while sleeping. Now I have a replacement iPod Touch (the previous one couldn't install the 2.0 Update), and this one won't even last overnight in sleep mode.
Here's what I did in my last test: Turned all the WiFi services off -- Push: OFF, Fetch: OFF, Location Services: OFF, Ask to Join Networks: OFF, WiFi: OFF. Fully recharged the iPT, disconnected it and left it shut down overnight. Booted it up the next day, full battery (Okay so far). Next, I left the iPod Touch in sleep mode for the entire day (8am - 6pm), still full battery (Great!). At 9:00pm, turned on WiFi (and none of the other items mentioned above), used Safari for about 15 minutes, battery went down one notch ~ 90%. (Still normal) Put the iPT into sleep mode, but this time with WiFi left "ON". Woke up the next morning, and the battery plummeted to 10% in about 5 minutes. (NOT GOOD AT ALL).
My previous iPod Touch would have still had 90-80% battery the next morning. And while I would generally suspect the 2.0 Update being the culprit, everyone else I know has been running 2.0 without any problems -- no installation problems, no battery problems. I've been cursed with both issues in two separate iPods.
(I should also mention. I have not yet had a chance to install any media or applications on this iPod Touch, so there's no chance an errant application has somehow triggered a battery drain. This is just a plain iPT with the 2.0 Update and a restore of my Safari bookmarks.)

''Well When i plug in my ipod touch the battery life is low..i let it sit a wyhle. And it starts up to the apple logo and it stay there some time then it restartsback over to the very low battery and repeat(Over&Over)

Can you reset the device by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?
If this does not work, try to connect in recovery mode, explained here: iOS: Unable to restore

  • Macbook no longer "sleeps" after 'low battery' warning, just suddenly dies

My macbook (just over a year old) used to give me a warning with 10 minutes left that it would sleep so as my data was not lost, if I didn't plug it in. However, recently, it has stopped doing this - instead of sleeping, if I don't get to a power source in time within 10 minutes, it simply cuts out, with the sound of the hard drive stopping - like if you shut down a frozen macbook with the power button.
This is REALLY irritating - what's going on? Why does it not sleep anymore, and is there any way to fix it?
I'm on Tiger 10.4.11, with an intel macbook...

Same Problem here. Tried several calibrations, smc and pram zap (well i guess there is no pram any longer so it zaps something else). Now I found another post where they talk about the battry 1.2 update. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1449128&tstart=60
I remember when trying to do an battery update to 1.3 manually the update told me that it is not for my macbook. But - I found the 1.3 update Bundle in /System/Library/Configuration/BatteryUpdater.bundle
    1. I Removed /System/Library/Configuration/BatteryUpdater.bundle from my system
    2. rebooted
    3. Emptied trash
    4. Installed update 1.2 by Softwarupdate.
I will now do an SMC reset an then let the battery run low and watch what happens.
    Then do a calibration.
I have the problem here in different ways. Sometimes Macbook shuts down suddenly after low battery warning, sometimes it sleep, almost never it hibernates.

  • Low battery ipod is not being read by my new computer

I got a new computer recently and I hadn't thought of seeing if it could read my iPod or not. Today, I tried to charge it since it ran completely out of battery and I plugged it into my computer and nothing showed up. I read the pages on Windows not recognizing iPod, low battery, etc. but none of them has anything on Windows not reading the iPod software when the iPod's not working because there's no battery left.
    Please help me?
iPod Nano (2nd Generation)   Windows XP Pro

The iPod will not be read by your computer if there is no battery power. Leaving it connected for a while (sometimes quite a long while!) usually cures this.
However, sometimes if the battery gets completely discharged, simply connecting to a USB port on the computer doesn't supply enough power to "kick start" the charging process. In theory it should do, but yours seems to be a common problem.
Do you have access to a wall charger?
