Low FPS with nVidia card after updating to OS X 10.4.3

I know this question has been asked before, but I can't find an answer anywhere...
Is there an easy fix to this problem (i.e. not re-installing the OS)?
Has apple said anything about this issue?
Is there a way to install the old drivers for the nVidia card?

Dear keg55 try to answer the points you (sorry for my bad English, I'm from Russia):
- +5V voltage is present on the USB-ports.
- After the operating system is not working only the mouse and keyboard, but after sending the computer into sleep mode (press on / off) ports are included. To enable the ports necessary every time you reboot go into sleep mode.
- To reinstall your operating system from the MAS result does not. After reinstalling the bug persists.

    One needs to press the home and sleep / wake keys together for the phone to reset
    The other thing I could recommend
    Let the battery run out and the phone completely "die"
    It may take a day or two with it not being used
    Then plug it in to charge and see if there is any change in behavior
    If you cannot get this to work - you may need to bring it to an Apple store

    Hi Miky. After upgrading to ios 5.1 I had the same problem.
    I reset the APN on network settings and rewriting the same. iPad now working on 3G.
    My operator is 3 ITA
    iPad 1 64 GB Wi-Fi + 3G

    Usually this means the phone was previously jailbroken or hacked to unlock it from the carrier it was locked to, and the update re-locked it to that carrier.

    I have been on the phone twice today with my carrier. They reset it the first time, it worked for an hour then messed up again. They reset it a SECOND time.. It worked for 6 hours, then messed up again. I don't know if this is a software issue or what but if ANYONE has any insight, I would appreciate it greatly.

  • Problem with NVIDIA card

    I'm using a Sony VAIO-VGNFE41Z notebook with the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 graphics card. Approximately four days ago the card started to display artifacts on the screen even before the appearance of the VAIO logo during the BIOS initialization process. These artifacts look like green dotted squares, blue randomly placed rectangles and vertical green dotted lines. Since these artifacts appear even before grub takes over the boot process, I really think that this is a hardware issue.
    After the appearance of these artifacts the X server doesn't start up but I still have access to the text console and "nvidia-debugdump -l" displays the following:
    NVIDIA: could not open the device file /dev/nvidia0 (Input/output error).
    Error: nvmlInit(): Driver Not Loaded
    What bothers me however is the fact that I've been using Archlinux on my notebook for approximately one year and before that I used Windows XP for approximately seven years. So my question is whether or not it is possible that the proprietary NVIDIA drivers somehow slowly "destroyed" the graphics card perhaps due to incorrect temperature readings?     So what do you think? Could these problems have been caused by gradual overheating of the graphics card for approximately one year? Or maybe the last driver update somehow messed up the graphics card? I need to know this, because I want to know, whether the problem will repeat itself if I buy another Go 7600 and replace the buggy graphics card with another GO 7600. If it's a "gradual overheating due to a faulty driver"-issue the next card will probably stop working as well after one year. It's interesting to note that nvidia-smi doesn't display the Fan Speed for this graphics card. Does this card have a built-in fan?

  • Multiseat with Lightdm broken after updating Mesa

    Hi,
    I've been using a multiseat configuration for months now, and it was working almost perfectly (almost - multiseating is far from being really stable yet IMHO, but anyway).
    I updated mesa-libgl a few days ago and confirmed packages replacement, but right after rebooting my second seat didn't work anymore. The display stays black and no login screen shows up, although I suppose a signal is still sent as the monitor doesn't go into sleep mode. The first seat on the other side is working as usual, no difference noted.
    In the processes, I can only see one Xorg instance (used by the first seat), when I'm supposed to have tow instances, one for each seat and with different parameters. It's like the second seat is crashing, but I can see no trace of such crash in the logs (kernel.log or everything.log). Even the Xorg.1.log contains all the informations as if the display was running fine.
    The day after updating Mesa, I also updated Lightdm but it didn't change anything (I had a brief hope for a moment).
    My configuration is the following :
        - Nvidia GTX 760: used on seat0 as dual-head with Nouveau driver (Layout-Main in Xorg)
        - Intel GMA: used on seat1 on single-head with Intel driver (Layout-Aux in Xorg)

    When I disable the primary seat configuration in Xorg files (I just prevent the file from being loaded), and after I restart Lightm via
    # systemctl restart lightdm
    the display shows up correctly on the secondary seat (and not on the primary, which is logical so far). So in the end it seems I just cannot have both seat running at the same time, but individually they work fine.
    My logical assumption is that the recent upgrade of the Mesa packages somehow broke this configuration, but I cannot find why and how.
    FYI, here's what I tried:
    - play with Intel drivers options in Xorg (NoAccel, DRI, ...)
    - play with Xorg options on the command line of each seat (-sharevts, -novtswitch)
    - switch to Nvidia proprietary drivers (but here also, only the primary seat works, but that may be for a totally different reason, which is why I used Nouveau ever since I set up this configuration)

  • Borderlands 2 with Nvidia cards

    Hello, I recently(12/8) purchased a GTX680 online. All the major online stores and some B&M stores had the Nvida offer of Assassin's Creed 3 and Borderlands 2 both free with the card I purchased. I took advantage of the no financing for 18 months as that was the only way I would be able to get the card, at the risk of not getting the 2 free games.
    I have been following up after seeing a lot of posts online about Best Buy not participating in this program, however the other day on my phone I found this LINK on the Best Buy website saying that the card I bought EVGA GTX680 is included at the bottom of the page. When I open the info on any card listed as qualifying, however I find there is no information on getting the game.
    I notice that the search parameter includes the date of September 9, 2012. The offer is supposed to extend (officially  from Nvidia) from August 16, 2012 to May 30, 2013. 
    My question then, should I have recieved the game as well, was it only a limited time offer by Best Buy, or was it mistake to be on your site at all having decided not to participate?
    I'm sure I got the last or one of the last of the card I purchased, so I don't see how, combined with the date, I would have missed out ( the details link I included in the Screenshot) if it was a new offer..

    Just got a second monitor and I am trying to set it up to work with arch.
    I have 2 nvidia cards with 1 monitor plugged into each.
    Reading through the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/DualScreen
    When I try
    xrandr -q
    after downloading and installing:
    pacman -S xorg-xrandr arandr
    I get the message:
    RandR extension missing
    So not sure what is going on here... (***EDIT: Worked after rebooting***)

  • Loss 3D graphics and can't connect to external display with NVIDIA card

    I note this morning that the graphics in 3D mode of iWork (version 4.1 with system 10.6.8) no longer appears in all software suite. The 2D graphics are displayed perfectly. I also notice I can't connect an external display when I am on NVIDIA card but work well with Intel card.
    The 3D graphics are printed but not displayed on the screen (it also appear inthe thumbnail). It seems to be a worry to display.
