Low internet download speed when on battery (have tried previously given fix)
There is a drastic fall in internet download speeds when laptop is running on battery power. As soon as I plug it in, the internet speeds return to normal.I have already changed the wireless settings to high performance in the power management profile.How do I solve this problem?Any help is appreciated. Also, my laptop is only a couple days old.

I have looked into the issue you are having with Battery Performance and I found a couple of documents for you to try. The first document I found is called HP Notebook PCs - Managing Power Options (Windows 8). In this document it shows you how to create your own Power Plan. The second document I found is called HP Notebook PCs - Testing and Calibrating the Battery (Windows 8). Yes, to be honest I was a little surprised myself. But it absolutely didn't connect when plugged into the test socket (I even tried to force a connection from the Home Hub manager but it wasn't having it). It is definitely the master socket. The only extension is a small piece of (engineer installed) phone cable to link the hub and the master socket (because the socket and mains power are unhelpfully on opposite walls of the hallway).
I ran the Java download for Google anyway and it only took about an hour. The speedtester results are as follows:
Download speed achieved during the test was - 109 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 50-250 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :2560 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 135 Kbps
I don't as a rule disconnect / reboot the hub; today it has been dropping off on its own, while several days ago I tried a few reboots just to try and get a connection.
Additional info - my exchange is actually called Claypole Fenton (or vice versa). Whatever, my profile has probably been welded to 135k for days and days.

My macbook internet download speed is extremely slow. I have tried 2 other computers, another mac and windows and the download speed is over 10mb but with this macbook pro it is less than 1mb. What is causing this and how to fix?
To find out how much space you have & what is left, open up Disk Utility/Machintosh HD/First Aid. The info will be at the bottom of the window.
Sluggish Finder - Bunch of icons on your desktop? An overcrowded desktop slows down your Mac.
Get rid of needless Finder calculations - Open a window in Finder/View/Show View Options: ensure "Calculate All Sizes" option is unchecked.
Internet related - It's likely that your broadband connection is the bottleneck. You can check your speed on http://www.speedtest.net to see how fast your connection is. If your web browser specifically performs slowly, quit and relaunch it.
If browser remains sluggish, empty its cache.
Safari/Empty Cache
Firefox/Preferences - select the Network tab of the Advanced preferences and click the "Clear Now" button in the "Offline Storage" area.
Application related - Launch "Activity Monitor" - Applications/Utilities - click the CPU heading and see what float to the top. If an application takes up a large chunk of CPU and won't let it go, it could be dragging down your Mac's performance. Quit it by clicking the Quit Process button at the top of the Activity Monitor window.
Too little ram - max out your ram.
Solution may be found if you search in the "More Like This" section over in the right column. -
Internet download speed slows to 20% of normal every night at about 8:30 P.M. Pacific Time
My internet download speed, which averages just over 5 Mb/s most of the day, slows to about 1 Mb/s every night at about 8:30-9:00 P.M. Pacific Time and lasts for a few hours. It is consistent and constant so random equipment or line problems are unlikely. I've saved the results of my speed tests (speedtest.net) as to evidence the problem and posted them below.
Please help.

Have you tried asking Verizon to change the circuit or edge router your DSL line connects to, in order to solve the problem? Often times there seems to be an imbalance in how circuits are loaded on Verizon's DSL network. It's a rather typical experience for a shared medium (such as DSL, Cable) but steps can be taken to try and balance off load periodically. Verizon should have some free circuits available that will allow you to reach your speeds during the night time hours.

Unfortunately, Comcast never support this kind of download speeds rate to my service requested rate. I checked the download speeds rate ever day, without 3/6/2015—3/9/2015, the download speeds rate reached 5Mbp/s, otherwise, until now, there are no any one day , the download speeds rate up to 2mbp/s, sometime even download speeds is zero 0 bp/s ; most time download speeds only around 100Kbp/s. or under 100kbps.I bought new Gateway model Motorola SBG6580 that is working perfectly. Something wrong!Even the 'respected' tools like Onyx, if you look at what (each and every update) states in the "what is new" and changes will be to improve compatibility.
Never use or install anything (and I include OS X updates in that category) without cloning your system and having TimeMachine that is current, and backup(s) that will be off line.
Some cannot be trashed or deleted or removed without using an "uninstall app" or the installer, doing so without can mean having to reinstall first.
Or wipe the drive and restore from a known good backup set.

Hey rbrylawski, just wanted to let you know that my ipad email problems have been solved. Called Apple Sup in OZ, I'm in NZ. Daniel Barber was the support tech from heaven!! I was about to return the ipad but solving this issue reset my faith in phone support.....perhaps until I call a differnet companys phone support eh? Anyhow, for reference the fix is below. My accounts are all POP not IMAP, and the primary smtp server setting had defaulted to have SSL switched on and the port was set to 5XX (something, cant remember). Anyhow, SSL was switched off and the port was swithced to 25. VOILÀ!! Settings/Mail, contacts, calendars/My POP mail account/smtp/primary server/ >>> server on, no username and password, use SSL off, no authentication, Server Port 25 Thanks for having a crack at it. The download does not install Flash. You should find the downloaded file in your Downloads folder. Double-click on the .dmg file then double-click on the installer icon once the disc image has been mounted.

I have tried all the fixes on the managing the Flash plugin website (uninstalled, reinstalled, updated plug in, etc) but I am still not able to access my subscription on my favorite digital magazine. I can view it in Internet Explorer and I can play Flash games on Facebook, etc. So I am at a lost as to where to try next. With it being on the old tower PC and not my new zippy laptop it is difficult to play with troubleshooting and with all the addons installed by my family I'm not sure what to delete or try again.

Try to uninstall and reinstall Flash.

Your above posted system details show multiple Java Console extensions.
You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions and disable the Java Quick Starter extension as you do not need them to run Java applets.

I have not tried to assign the static IP address suggested in step 6 on the web link above, I am not that technical & do not fully understand how to perform this task & am surprised HP expect retail client to follow this, if is a bit technical I think you must agree.
Anyway, the WiFi or Wireless blue led is blinking.
If I try to discover my wireless network, it is not displaye like it used , nor are my neighbors, my mobile Samsung Galaxy S displays my network and my neighbors when the phone in placed by my 7510.
When I try to enter the SSID & key, my 7510 times out without connecting to my router.
My pc is connected directly to my router (Buffalo) and I use a Fujitsu Desktop running Win 7 32bit.
By the way, I have done a "Factory reset" to my 7510 & this did not help at all.
Can anyone help?

I recently purchased the New IPad and am trying to sync to this computer. I need to download iTunes and /or Quick Time. Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with the explicit songs in iTunes. Have you checked to see if the explicit content is restricted in your iTunes Preferences?
If you have "Music with explicit content" checked under the Restrict menu, it will restrict music that is shared, on iTunes in the cloud, and music in the iTunes Store.
