Low Resolution on iPhone 5c

I've owned an iphone 4s, 5, and now a 5c.  How can I tell what the resolution is on my photos?  When I upload photos to a developer website such as Walmart, I always get the same message...my photos are LOW RESOLUTION.  Please help...how do I fix that???

Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Appel logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not work, did you try to switch off Cellular Data, restart the phone and switch it back on again?

  • My address book and iPhone pics have become low resolution.  Is there a way I can prevent this from happening when I start out with a higher resolution picture?

I guess I squeezed my entire issue into the subject line.  lol   When I sync my iphone to my laptop I notice that all my address book pics and iphone pics have become lower resolution, even though I started out with the resolution that I really needed to produce decenty address book printouts.  I doubt I can correct the losses of resolution that have occurred but can anyone help me figure out how to prevent future losses?  Thank you!

Plugins usually are installed externally to Firefox. However, you can disable them in Firefox so that Firefox does not use them.
SearchReset is supposed to automate the task of resetting certain preferences, but you still can edit them manually if necessary.
    '''''Address Bar Search'''''
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the filter box, type or paste '''keyword''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Right-click '''keyword.URL''' and choose Reset. This should restore Google as the default for address bar search.
    Does that work?
    '''''Search Box'''''
Usually it works to choose your preferred search engine from the drop-down. To remove an unwanted search engine plugin, usually the Manage Search Engines... choice at the bottom of the drop-down takes care of it.
    Do either of those work?
There might be another way to hijack that search box; I think some of the other frequent responders probably are more familiar with it than I am.

  • I transferred some photos to my iphone via email and they come up in camera roll as low resolution.  How do I fix this?

I transferred some photos to my iphone via email and they have very low resolution.  First I sent them from iPhoto with highest resolution, then I transferred them to my desktop in highest resolution and added them to an email, opened the email and saved to my Camera roll.  They all look like low resolution photos. This is the exact method I have used to transfer photos in the past with my 4S and never had a problem.  What am I doing wrong?  Is this a bad camera?  HELP please!  Thank you!

My husband has the same phone, we purchased them at the same time.  I sent him the same photos in the same email that I downloaded them from and on his phone they show up with the normal higher resolution.  Is it possible that there is something wrong with my iPhone or is there a setting that can be changed?  I'm still learning to use it.  All my other photos are of normal resolution.  Does this make any sense to anyone?
    Please help!

  • HT1044 Issues w/Low Resolution when trying to print pics from Iphone 4s

Been trying CONTINUALLY to print images from my Iphone 4S.  Example, uploaded a few pictures from phone to Kodak site.  Get error message, "Low Resolution, may print blurry", message for the photos.  Yes, They DID print blurry.  Recommended by someone, I changed the setting on my Iphone to HDR under Options for Camera.  Still have the issue.  What is purpose of having hundreds of pictures on iphone (that look wonderful on facebook, by the way), but you CaN'T print them out or order prints!??!   Verrrry Frustrating.   Any suggestions how to fix this issue?  I understand there needs to be a certain level of pixels....however, there HAS to be a way to change them to a higher res to get good quality pictures.   Help Please!!  Thank you!

  • Iphone low resolution

I am syncing photos from aperture 3 to my iphone, but many pictures are coming over to the iphone at horribly low resolution.  I opened one such album and found of the 12 photos, only two looked good.  The rest were a horrible example of compression artifacting, all the detail was lost and it was very muddy.  The pictures looked out of focus.  But the pictures looked fine in aperture, even when I had them being displayed at the same physical size on my mbp screen.
After doing some digging in the .applibrary I was able to find where the aperture thumbs and the synced photos were stored and discovered the pattern.
It appears that aperture thumbnails (for the bottom of split view, for example) are always created at 240x360.  However, the pictures creates for itunes vary in size, and the size depends on the size of the original.  One image original was 426x640 and its iphone image was 213x320 (14k) and looked ok on the iphone.  Another however was a 200x300 original and aperture created a 240x360 thumb for itself (upscaled it a tad bit) but created a 100x150 (5k) (yes REALLY) for the iphone, which of course looked horrible.  It would have been much better off just passing over the original to itunes instead of butchering it.  Aperture has no business creating an image for the iphone that's LOWER than the resolution of the iphone screen. (and that's not even accounting for your ability to zoom what, about 2x, into a picture on the iphone?)
    good looking:
    First is 213 × 320 pixels (14k)
    Second is 240 × 360 pixels (32k)
aperture claims the original is 426 × 640 (0.3 MP)
    bad looking:
The first path picture is a WHOPPING 100 × 150 pixels (5k) and looks exactly like the crap on my iphone.
    The second is 240 × 360 pixels, 33k.
Aperture claims the original is 200 × 300 (0.1 MP)
So.... what do I do about this?  The only workaround I see at the moment is to go through all the pictures I want on my iphone and UPscale them and reload them into aperture, so it creates more sensible images for my iphone. (quite a hassle for something that claims "it just works")   Now, is this a bug, or am I missing a setting somewhere?
I also was unable to figure out how to locate the originals inside my applibrary.  Control click gives you that option in itunes for example.  That would at least be helpful to know how to do if I am forced to upscale all these pictures by hand to work around the bug.

Are you using finder to look at your photos? Stay out of the finder! iPhoto organizes itself so that it can function. If you do anything to that structure, you risk losing your precious photos. The data folder has always been there.

  • My iphone 4s suddenly displays images from Yahoo, Google, and Flickr at low resolution. The camera on my phone works fine, but any web related photo content is now pixelated and low res, what's the deal?

My iphone 4s suddenly displays images from Yahoo, Google, and Flickr at a low resolution. I have IOS 7.0.4. My phone camera works fine, but any web based photo content from Safari, Yahoo images, Google images, and Flickr all come in pixelated and low res. What's the deal?

It happened to me but later I figured out that cellular signal was not that great and so the Internet was very slow. It took me about 2 minutes to get the full resolution picuture on either of the app you've described. Try to get faster internet either by wifi or good signal and then check.

  • Lower the video resolution on iphone 5 for Apple TV?

Can you lower the video resolution on iPhone 5 so that it will play on Apple TV. Now it takes forever for a short video to buffer. I know I can convert it to a lower resolution myself - once the video is complete - but many videos, such as kids' birthday parties are fine at lower resolution, and I'd love to be able to show them immediately on TV.

Which kind of iOS you have
if iOS 7.1 then it's software issue and many users complaining from its battery life
I hope apple fix this issue in the next update
for now you can disable any settings that running and you aren't using it (apps/games, wifi, bluetooth...etc)
    only keep what you need.

  • One low resolution picture

    I have a weird one:
Yesterday I took a picture of a butterfly on our porch.  I waited until it showed up on my desktop's photo stream and then, because I liked it so much, decided to make it my desktop background.  But it looked oddly jagged - why would that be the case?  The iPhone's resolution is definitely bigger than my MBP's screen!  I went into iPhoto and looked at the picture on my stream and it's only 640x858!  What the heck?  I looked at the other pictures in the stream and they were all 2448x3264 - only this one picture is of the lower resolution!?  What's more, this one picture is the only one in the stream that doesn't say "iPhone 5" as the source and doesn't have location info associated with it.  It's as if it was taken by another camera and then imported...only it wasn't.  I definitely took it by sliding up the camera from the lock screen!
I have an iPhone 5 with the latest iOS (6.1.4).  My phone is pretty full (only 26MB left), but plenty enough for more pics.  I just took another one and that one, again, showed up with the correct resolution in my stream.
Does anyone know what's going on?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
How are you going about uploading?
Are you digging the files out of the DATA folder in the iPhoto Library Folder? If so, you're using the thumbnails that iPhoto uses for display purposes.
There are three ways (at least) to get files from the iPhoto Window.
    1. Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. Show File: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
I suggest you use the File -> Export option and export the pics to the desktop. There iPhoto will make a copy. Upload that, and when the upload is finished you can trash the copy on the desktop - your original is safe in iPhoto.

  • How can i get low resolution pictures to print

I just bought a office jet pro 8600 and got on hp e-print for the sole purpose of printing pictures off of my iphone and ipad. I just sent an e-mail to the printer and it only printed "sent from iphone." It says there is some technology preventing printing of low resolution images... usually from camera phones. Any ideas or help.
    Thx

    Hi DChip56,
Here are some printing tips for printing from your iPad and iPhone (particularly items in bold):
All photos e-mailed with HP ePrint will print at a default size of 4 x 6 inches (101.6 x 152.4 mm).
If your HP ePrint-enabled printer does not have a separate photo paper tray, just make sure that photo paper is the only paper loaded in the tray when printing photos.
Make sure your digital images have a high enough resolution, or dpi (dots per inch). Image files (like jpeg, bmp, tiff, etc.) need to be at least 100 dpi in order to print via HP ePrint.
Make sure your image attachments are smaller than the 5 MB (megabyte) limit.
If you send a photo that is less than 100 dpi, it will not be printed. Instead, you will see a message in your job history on the ePrintCenter that says “Failed”.
To print a photo or image that is less than 100 dpi, insert the image file into a Word document before e-mailing. Your image will be printed on paper from the main printer paper tray.
If I have helped in any way, just click the Kudos star on the left. Also, if your issue has been resolved, don't forget to select Accept as Solution

  • Low resolution photos from Revel

    Hi,
I hope this is the correct forum and that this question has not already been delt. I have search but dont find any solution.
I have decided to stop using dropbox "camera upload" and switch to Adobe Revel.
I seams to work great except for the fact that the photo inside Photoshop elements is a lower resolution than the original taken on my iPhone. This kind of defeats the point to me! Dropbox uploaded the full resolution pic to my PC.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to get the original quality version on my PC using Revel. I am not interested in the "social media" side of it it.
My primary use for Revel is to get my FULL / ORIGINAL image inside Photoshop elements. Dropbox, Onedrice and Googledrive do a great job but at the end of the day I still need to import the pictures. Revel just seems cleaner if I can get it to work.
BTW, if I download a photo via the Revel website it is the original so my iPhone is updoading as it should.
    Any help will be appreciated
    Kind Regards
    Jason

    Hi Jon,
Thank so much for your reply. That portion I comfortable with, but was thinking I could take photos with my mobile phone and have them sync to a folder on my PC as my originals. I dont want to download photo's from my phone. It does work as desired exept the fact that the photos resolution is lower on the PC than the "originals" on the Revel website.
If I right click on the photo in PE and select "download original from revel" it works, but sort of defeats it purpose in my case.
It seems like Photoshop is not importing the pic at the original resolution. ie to me I would expect a "import original resolution" inside photoshop.
    I am using PE12.
I dont like to compare PE revel to apple iCloud, but this is how their software works. If I take a photo on my iPhone its on my mac in full res within minutes to do with as I please. This is what I was thinking Revel could do for me and more. Dropbox, Onedrive and Googledrive all support this, but then I have to import it into PE.
Once again. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated!!
    Kind Regards
    Jason

  • Photos got low resolution after upgrade

After I upgraded my iPhone, all the photos in my photo library got a very low resolution. They are all fuzzy. Can anyone help?

The main problem is that the photos that i have on my iphone came originally from my PC, and I syncronized them to my iphone a while ago. However i no longer have this computer and therefore only have thoses photos on my iphone ( considering that it isn't possible to syncronize photos that were taken by the iphone to the computer ). When I upgraded my iphone to the iphone 4 , those photos (that were not taken but the iphone, but are stored in the iphone library) have had their quality reduced. I would like to know what happened, and mainly what can i do to get all those photos back, because i do not have them anywhere else.
    thanks

  • Restore from icloud - got images only low resolution an most missing

I got a new iPhone, my last one was crashed from a car. I had backup from the last iPhone by WLAN to iCloud only. No Backup via iTunes local. After restoring I got only 350 Images of the 805 images i had. And these 350 images are only in very low resolution. Strange: At "Information" my iPhone says that there are 805 images on the phone ... but where?? ... and where is the quality gone? Any idea someone? Thank you in advance ... Matt.

There have been countless reports of users restoring from iCloud only to find their pictures gone.  There have been no solutions that I know of.  The general suggestion is always to sync pictures to a computer (to iPhoto on macs or to a designated folder on PCs).  Don't rely on iCloud for that.

  • Pages is in low resolution

since i've upgraded my iPad 3 to ios 8.3 Pages now looks in low resolution, like an old iPhone 3G. I've tried to intall everything from scratch, but it doesn't fix this issue. What am I doing wrong?
Here is what it looks like now.

In one case, you are letting actual thumbnails be generated when the PDF file is generated. In the other case, you are using Acrobat / Reader's capability of generating temporary thumbnails on the fly when you open the document.
