Low resolution pictures in Safari macbook pro vs Google Chrome
I have both Safari (7.0.5) and Google Chrome (35.0.1916.153) on my MacBook Pro Retina running OSX 10.9.4. Viewing my galleri my pictures show in much lower resolution (but not pixelated) in Safari compared to Chrome. It's the same on my iPad. The first few milliseconds though viewing the pictures in Safari they seem to have good resolution. I wood prefer to use Safari but due to this I am using Chrome. Any solution?

Yes. The retina MBPs have all of those components soldered to the logic board and currently there are no third party SSDs available.

NO.
Which model is best for the long term?
. That is difficult to answer. Personally I would wait until the next retina MBP introduction and order it to my personal requirements. The final decision is yours.

Low resolution AirPlay when using MacBook Pro but high when using iPad
I have a very strange issue. When I use Airplay from my iPad the image on the television is very clear and sharp, looking like a great HD picture. Wen I stream from my MacBook Pro, or mirror the screen, to the Apple TV the image degrades to a choppy, low-resolution, muddy version that looks terrible! It's strange because I have not had this issue before.
Anyone have any ideas on what is going on with this? Again, the image from the iPad is fine, the image from the MacBook Pro is low-resolution. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Macbook pro and Google Chrome: Need an expert advise
I have set google chrome as default browser on my mac book pro. I have also set chrome to be permanently incognito using apple script. I did this by searching online for help. Now everything is fine except the only problem is if I click a link in an email or an app it opens in normal chrome window instead of google chrome incognito window. So my question is how do i make 'google chrome incognito' my default browser? Basically what I want to do is set 'google chrome incognito' my default browser no matter if I open it from the dock or from an external link in an email/app/third party software.
Here is a set up on my macbook. I have normal 'google chrome' in my apps folder. Then I have created 'google chrome incognito' in my apps folder using an apple script i found on one of the forums. In my dock i have 'google chrome incognito'. So when I open chrome from the dock (which i always do) it always opens in incognito. The only problem (like i said above) is when i click a link from an email or or any other app. This only happens when chrome is closed. If I click the link the window will open in 'normal chrome' instead of 'incognito chrome'. If the 'chrome incognito' is open in background when I click on the link then window will open in incognito mode. How do I fix this issue to open chrome in incognito no matter what i do?

Does that let you choose your "Google Chrome Incognito" script? If not, maybe you could save your script as an application, and try again. -

Hello, how can I import pictures from my Macbook Pro to my iMac?
I have stored my holiday pictures on my Macbook Pro and I want to transfer/copy them to my iMac. I have a local network (via Apple hardware) and I have marked the photo library on the Macbook Pro as "Shared". So I should be able to transfer pictures from this lobrary to my iMaclibrary. Sharing pictures amongst different Apple computers seems to be difficult. Even burning pictures on a CD-rom is not that easy it should be. But that's another question. You should find the possibility to burn pictures on a cd direct from iPhoto but the function is simly not there. Yes you can share them by e-mail, Facebook,...but sometimes you just want to have some transfers between your own computers...
You can use the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager to copy selected Events from your MBP library into the library on your iMac while keeping all metadata, locations, faces, etc.
If you want to import ALL photos in your MBP library into your iMac library that are not already in the iMac library (without keywords, metadata, etc.) you can use SyncPhotos.
Here's how it works:
1 - it compares the databases and/or album.xml files of Libraries A and B.
2 - the files in A that are not in B are imported into B by copying the original files from A into B's Import folder.
3 - it then does the same for B.
4 - metadata is not copied.
It can be used to just copy from A to B and not sync both ways if desired. It will work with 2 libraries that are different versions, i.e. between an iPhoto 08 and iPhoto 09 library.

If you are on iTunes 11 on your Mac then you may want to re-enable the left-hand sidebar via View > Show Sidebar, which might make it easier to navigate and may instructions may make more sense.
To sync photos, connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes (if you've enabled the sidebar), and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.
If you haven't enabled the sidebar, then from your library click 'iPad' at the top right of the screen and you should get a series of buttons along the top of the screen, including one for Photos -

When I view pictures on photobucket, whether they're mine or someone else's, I can only see low resolution pictures. I load pictures on photobucket with a resolution of about 900x750 but fire fox only shows them at about 125x125. Google chrome shows full resolution pictures.
This started with the last firefox update, about 1-2 months ago.Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > Content: Load Images: Exceptions - See [[Options window - Content panel]]
A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (<i>Site Identification</i> icon) on the left side of the location bar.<br \>
A click on the "More Information" button will open the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").<br \>
Open the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Page Info" window.<br \>
Select the first image and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow key.<br \>
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.<br \>

When you have kernel panics, the pertinent information is in the panic report.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". Select the most recent one. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report.
