Low sound when somebody calls me?

I can only hear a low sound when somebody calls me, trough my ear speaker next the facetime camera. What is wrong?
Is it the speaker that is dead? Or is it the settings?

My N80 handset has no sound when answering calls.....

my N80 handset has no sound when answering calls... but when i turn to my loudspeakers and plug in my earpiece, it function normally when i answer the calls...i cant hear any thing from handset when i keep near my ear, but when i on speaker i can hear the other party voice...
a few days ago, it was fine... i didnt drop the phone or what...
my warranty has expired... i wish that someone can help me to solve it by DIY.. haha..

Sounds like it can only be one of two things.
1. The speaker is broken.
2. The ribbon cable connecting the two halfs of the slide is starting to go. The ribbon does give problems after a while. Sometimes when the cable starts to go, it still works when the slide is closed but not when extended. try it and see.
Both the speaker and the ribbon cable can be replaced at your local Nokia care centre.

My iphone turn blank.. When somebody calling it ringging but cant answer it. Coz no button to answer, its completely blank..

Restart the phone. Hold the home button and the sleep/wake button together until the apple logo appears.

I purchased Nokia E61i Phone in USA recently and update the firmware. After update the the firmware, sometimes my phone is ringing when somebody called. The calls are displayed in missed calls list. Due to that I am loosing my incoming calls. Could you please let me know how to resolve the issue.

Try this - it won't erase any of your settings, but it may clear up the buggy behavior:
Power down phone
Hold volume up/down & power simultaneously until you see the Boot Mode Selection Menu
Use volume down to navigate to 'Recovery', use volume up to select
Should see screen with triangle and exclamation point next to an Android
Press volume up/down simultaneously to go into system recovery
Use volume rocker to navigate to 'wipe cache' and use power button to select
Once finished, use volume rocker to navigate to 'reboot system now' and use power button to select
Post back and let us know if this did the trick. If not, we can look further...

When somebody call me appear as "UNKNOWN" even if i have the number in my contacts list, How i can change this?

So the caller ID says it is from "unknown" caller and you have answered the call and it turns out to be someone you know in your contacts list?

No or low sound when receiving a text. Volume is fine for incoming phone calls.

After the latest software update, I can not hear any sound when receiving a text. However I can hear sound when I receive a call.

I cannot get my new 5S to emit a sound when people call in. Not the "Do not Disturb".

Whatever I have done to the 5S phone or something within it, I cannot get it to emit a noise when people call in.
I have read recent blogs but to no avail - theproblem still exists.
What to do?

In the control panel is the moon black or white it should be black On side of iphone is the mute button set to red? Low sound when playing x264 vids

alright so when i go to play some 720p or 1080p vids i get low sound to the point i can barley hear it but if its normal xvids or music files i can hear it just fine ive only had this issue on arch ive tried vlc mplayer and it does it to all i know i have the codec installed as it plays the movies etc

if audio is ac3/dts you have to normalize it on fly while decoding

Only static sustained beep sound when making calls!

Over the past few hours I have noticed when I make a call on my iphone4s (iOs5.1.1, I have not recently updated!) I can hear the person I am calling for about 2 -5 seconds and then nothing OR just static sound and nothing from the person I am calling.
I can send and recieve texts (over 3g Telstra network)
I can send and receive imessage
I can send and receive FaceTime (wifi)
I can listen to songs and videos online and on my phone
I can record my voice handsfree and using headphones
I can not talk to anyone when making or receiving a call! Static or nothing!
I have full reception
I am with Telstra Australia
Any ideas?

Sounds like you have activated mute button, within a call there should be an option to unmute. The top left-hand button with a microphone does it have a / or a \ through it if so just tap it again & your voice will be heard again.
The other possibility is that you've put calls on hold.

IPhone earbud microphone/clicker: Beep sound when ending call is VERY faint

I sometimes use the iPhone earbuds to make calls. Ever since the release of iPhone software version 2.2, the beep sound that one hears when hanging up a call using the microphone/clicker is VERY faint. Now when I use the headset to make calls, I can barely even hear the beep when I end a call. I checked with another friend of mine who also uses his earbuds to make calls and he noticed the same thing.
Has anyone else noticed this and does anyone know of a solution? I tried blowing out any lint that may have accumulated in the earphone jack, but this did nothing to improve the situation.

Yes! Mine does it too,I miss the louder beep,on top of it I have to use head phones because Bluetooth headsets don't work anymore since 2.2,I can hear others but they don't hear me.

Low sound when I use headphones to my iPad

When I connect my headphones to my iPad I can only hear the music very low in the background. Almost totally silent.
Even if I change the volume there is no difference. I see the volumebar change, but the sound will not be any higher.
When I disconnect the headphones I can hear the music again and the volumebar is working as it should.
What should I do?

First check that your headphones work in another device to be sure there isn't a problem with them.
Check to see if this is an issue only with music. Do you have the same problem watching videos?
If only for music, check to be sure you haven't enabled Volume Limiting by looking in Settings > Music > Volume Limit. If it's on, turn it off.

Very low sound when I connect guitar

When I connect my guitar to logic via fast track ultra I can barely hear the sound, it's so low. Instead I have to use logic plugins make it sound at normal volume. How can I get this normal?

My guess is you're not plugging into a Hi-Z input.
In other words, when DI recording a guitar, because the signal is naturally very quiet, a line level input is no good. Many interfaces these days have a designated Hi-Z input, so check (I'm not familiar with yours). If you don't have this option you can buy cheap units (DI Boxes) that do the job.
This should solve your problem and give you the right amount of gain.
(Again, don't rule out volcanic ash)

No sound when making calls

When I make or receive a call I can't hear the other person and they can't hear me. The sound works fine other than calls. I can listen to my voice mails, music, even skype still works. I've checked my settings and they are all fine. I have rebooted my phone several times. I have tried making calls in safe mode, still no luck. Help? I am using a Samsung s4

Sorry to hear you’re having call audio issues.
Did this begin after a software update? Does it happen when you use the speakerphone feature?
Have you attempted to plug in a wired headset and have audio during the call?
If you still have no audio even with using a wired headset then most likely there’s a hardware issue and the phone would need to be replaced.
