Lowest acceptable speed before an engineer will be...

I've had Infinity since Feb this year, firstly Infinity 1, then later upgraded to Infinity 2. While on the up-to 40 speed, I always got about 37 down, and when upgraded to the up-to 80 package, I initially got around 49, but this steadily dropped back until it settled at about 39. However, over the past few months, it has dropped even further and I am now on about 32 down, 16 up.
I raised this as a fault a few months ago, seeing as the Infinity website estimates my speed at 52.7, but was told they could see my speed had declined but Openreach won't attend unless the speed drops below half of the estimate, ie 26 in my case.
Is this the case? It seems something must be wrong on my line as I am 20 below what the system thinks I should be getting. Any way I can persuade BT to get someone out to me to have a look at my line?

There could be a fault on your line, try this.
1. Visit this link https://www.bt.com/consumerFaultTracking/secure/faults/tracking.do;jsessionid=2W59QB2TvDGLZST41KJS2T...
2. Make an account with your BT Account number, this is different to your forum account.
3. Once the account is created re-visit the link from instruction #1 and login
4. Now you want to click on "Check my line now"
5. You should see your telephone number in a box, make sure that box is ticked if not enter your number.
6. Click on "Check my line" once step 5 has been completed
7. Make sure the details are correct, select the most relavant problem to you. I find the most common is the top selection "I've removed all equipment...."
8. Finally, Click "Check my line" **MAKE SURE NO ONE IS USING THE PHONE** Once completed, post the results contact a mod if a fault is found.

    I just found that I can't Sync my Iphone either and it gave the same error code.... it must be a ITunes problem.

    Let's start with iTunes.
    Have you updated iTunes to 11.1.5, because the previous version did appear to have an issue about seeing iPods?
    With iTunes 11.1.5 installed, look in Edit/Preferences/Devices, (or use the ALT key, followed by the E key and then the F key) and make sure that the box named Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically does not have a tick in the box.
    Once you have doen those two things, check to see if the iPod is seen by iTunes.

    OS stands for Operating System. (In computer speak, IO means Input/Output.)
    iOS originally stood for iPhone Operating System, but it now refers to the iPod Touch and iPhone. The iPod Classic, which you have listed in your profile as your iPod, does not use iOS.
    I assume that you have been listening to the Podcast in your iTunes on the computer as you cannot transfer it to your iPod. It's what I'd do.

    I have to change the sort order of the delivery items in VL01N before they will be displayed (not at the moment when they'll be stored on the database). Does anybody know any enhancement or user exit or BADI that i can use for this? I've tried with BADI LE_SHP_DELIVERY_PROC, but there is no methode which I can use for reordering the table XLIPS/LIPS before the delivery will be displayed.

    It is quite possible to have a different iCLoud AppleID from the iTunes one - have you set up maybe Phot Stream using an non-iTunes AppleID?

    Your question is a bit unclear. However, once the message is sent, it is beyond your control. You can't unsend it. If the person has an active data connection and an iOS device, it should show as an iMessage.

    I have a MSI X79-GD45 motherboard, I would like to set the lowest fan speed possible so that it make as little noise as possible, what setting should I apply in the bios? Or should I use Fanspeed?

    Set your target CPU temp to around 50C and select the lowest target fan speed that the BIOS allows. maybe its 12,5% or 25%. You need to check.

  • Nvidia GPU auto-fan-speed -before- X?

    ...something I've always wanted to be able to do.  If I want a quiet CLI session I have to start X then dump it (logging out of my WM speeds the fan up again).
    What I want to do is have the appropriate driver loaded before X (as early as possible, actually).
    Has anyone done this?  I've never been able to find anything on it.

    Only the provider can unlock the phone and pass the unlock info to Apple. This info will be added to a database and you'll be able to use another SIM when you connect to iTunes after you have been notified that the phone is now unlocked.

  • Accepting ilife before or after the clean install of ML

    I know this seams strange but here is the situation, I am getting cMBP and will swap the HD with SSD, I am new to MAC and will follow these steps:
    Setup the new Mac
    Login with Apple ID and download the ML, to make bootable drive for clean install
    Swap the HDD with the SSD
    Erase the new SSD and install the ML
    Now here comes the strange title, which is better: to accept the iLife after the initial setup before the clean install or after the clean install? I've heard of some users loosing their preinstalled iLife after clean install of ML.
    Sorry for long post and thanks in advance.

    I'd do it after you install the SSD drive and install ML on it.  That way you only have to download and install once.

    The minimum speed estimate for which you can order an FTTC service is 2Mb; to sub-divide products, the minimum for BT Infinity is 15Mb, and the minimum for Faster Total Broadband Option 3 is 2Mb. Anything below 2Mb we can't place orders for and Openreach can't (or shouldn't) try to install service for.

    Look, I understand I still need a card attached to the account. The problem is, it won't accept my card because I only have 87 cents in my bank account right now.
    If I had known there would be so much trouble with the iTunes card, I would have just put the cash in my bank account in the morning instead of buying an iTunes card (I didn't expect the banks to be open on Thanksgiving of course).
    Apple will only accept cards that have a balance. The balance is so small in my account that it won't accept it as a valid card.
    I'm going to have to contact Apple anyway to reset the security questions. That's obvious. Your answers were not exactly helpful. You didn't tell me anything I don't already know, but thanks for trying to be helpful.
