My phone and my daughters phone are both due for upgrades mine being the main line is also due a $50 loyalty discount. I log on to the upgade page for my phone and I see the Droid Razor for

I then log on to the upgrade page for her phone which has no $50 discount and price the Droid Razor and get this

The same is also true for the Rezound and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus .So if I were to use my upgrade and the so called $50 discount for a Droid Razor I would really not be getting a $50 loyalty discount. So much for loyalty. No where does it say the $50 discount only for certain phones.

The Droid Razr is $299.99 with a new two year agreement. Are you referring to the $50.00 New Every Two discount when you say loyalty credit? If your line is eligible for a $50.00 credit then the price for your line would be $249.99.
Without looking at your account I am unable to determine why your other lines show the same price for the Droid Razr. Only the primary line is eligible for the New Every Two discount. Do you have an employee discount that may be discounting the equipment on all the lines?

WD Caviar Green drives - Only good for certain uses!

I originally set up my Mac Pro as follows:
Bay 1 - Original 640GB Drive - MacOSX
Bay 2 - 1.5TB Caviar Green - RAID 1 striped with Bay 3
Bay 3 - 1.5TB Caviar Green - RAID 1 striped with Bay 2
Bay 4 - 2.0TB Caviar Green - Time Machine Backup
The RAID 1 array was mounted as the /User directory.
From the start there were annoying lags on a semi-regular basis. Even with only a few things open, like 1 instance each of Dreamweaver, Safari, and iTunes, I would get the spinning beach-ball of death for a few seconds every 30-45 seconds, and sometimes for as long as 10-20 seconds. Occasionally iTunes would actually cut out as it tried to play music.
Whenever these problems got bad I checked the Activity Monitor, did a 'top' in the terminal, even ran diagnostics a few times. No problems were ever obvious. Tons of available CPU time, tons of available RAM, no disk problems. Still, the system ran like a 386 with 640kb of RAM, not a 3.0Ghz Quad-core Nehalem with 12GB of RAM!
I started suspecting the disks as the culprit and looked into the Caviar Green drives a little further...
Western Digital lists the spindle speed as "Variable 5400-7200 RPM'. In fact, each drive is tested to determine the speed with the best performance/economy balance, and that speed is locked into the drive. This means that two otherwise identical Caviar Green drives can have two widely different spindle speeds. Put those two into a striped RAID array, and you get the problems I had.
Before reporting a bad computer to AppleCare I decided to confirm the drive theory by replacing the two Caviar Green drives in the RAID array with Caviar Black drives. Right now I have 4 instances of Safari, 2 Terminals, 2 Finder windows, Dreamweaver, Remote Desktop, Photoshop and iTunes running, and have seen zero glitches so far. The system is finally running like it should! The Caviar Green drive I have in bay 4 as my Time Machine backup is fine - this is actually a good application for these quieter, lower power drives. Just don't put them into a RAID array where you expect reasonable performance!
The two Green drives are going back to NewEgg tomorrow (minus a restocking fee because I am past the 30-day return window).
P.S., The Caviar Black drives are just fine for a software-based RAID 0 or RAID 1 array like this. WD makes the more expensive RE3 drives for RAID arrays, but the only difference is the amount of time the drive is allowed to take for error recovery. The Black drive could be down long enough to be dropped from an array (10 seconds or more), but the RE3 always comes back within 7 seconds after error recovery to prevent this. So you only benefit from the RE3 drives if you are running with a hardware RAID card, like you'd need for RAID 5.

Tried to upgrade my phone online using Loyalty Discount - Online sales Rep no help

I tried to upgrade my phone online to take advantage of the online discount and also use a loyalty discount. The price of the phone is correct until it I get to checkout, the loyalty discount is then removed and only the online discount is applied. I IM the online sales rep, but the person was of no help, telling me that all discounts had been applied. After about 15 to 20 minutes of trying to explain that the loyaly discount was being removed at checkout, I just gave up and cancelled the order.
I later tried it again, only to have the same problem and the same result from the online sales rep.
What good is a loyaly discount if you can't use it?
I am not sure if this is by design or if there is a glitch in the site, but the sales rep could not see my loyalty discount on my account and could not explain why this was happening.
Do I need to go to a store to take advantage of the loyalty discount?

It may depend on the type of store you go to. Corporate stores are different from third-party retailers (who often carry cell products other than Verizon as well). I would say call the specific store you plan to go to and ask before you go.

I had major issues with the iPhone 4s battery, however it’s resolved.
The tech who set the phone up at the Apple store did so with little training.
if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

Why can I not negotiate a loyalty discount when upgrading

Why can no one I have spoken to recently offer me a loyalty discount? I have been with TMobile for many years but this now seems to be disguarded. I can get equally good offers or better elsewhere!

Why the hell should you get a loyalty discount for? I shop regularly at Carphone Warehouse. I catch Arriva buses regularly, have breakfast in McDonald's regularly and I also use Skyline Taxis regularly. I pay the going rate. If I don't like the price I go elsewhere. If you don't like the EE prices them I'm sure you can do the same!

Only good for direct download links. I can pick to view my lecture in either audio or video format through WMP or QT from my school website. The formats come in a drop box form, which when on a desktop or laptop open in the player you choose and play. I hope this makes sense

You are asking several different questions. If you need to store your photos, music, and movies on an external volume, you certainly can. Any externally connected hard disk drive will work, connected either directly to your Mac or to your Time Capsule as a shared volume.
You should not rely upon using that as a backup device though. Although you certainly may use it for both purposes, it is a better idea to have dedicated backup devices for a variety of reasons not limited to redundancy. You would not want to simultaneously lose all your pictures as well as your backup. If they are all on the same device, that could happen. Furthermore, a backup cannot back up the volume on which it is running.
As for adding an Extreme or Express, using its LAN port for your iMac, and then enable Internet sharing so you can effectively use the iMac as a "hotspot", you can do that too, but I am unclear on what benefit you believe this arrangement would convey for you.
An Extreme's Guest network is separate from its Main network; that is the reason for having it.

Loyalty discount disappeared in the past two weeks?

My contract is coming to an end and I started looking into upgrading our phones a couple of weeks ago. Since my contract was initiated before Verizon decided to do away with the loyalty discount I still had the $50 loyality discount to use for the upgrade.... or so I thought. When I looked today the discount was gone! I chatted with an online agent, who was no help at all. Could not tell me when or why the discount was removed. I have not been notified by Verizon of any changes in my contract terms, and when I look at my upgrade eligibility it states "You are eligible to upgrade with discounted pricing. If you upgrade on or after 08/05/2012 you will be eligible to receive an additional loyalty discount." However there is no additional loyalty discount to be found anywhere any longer. Has anyone else run into the same issue?

The 2 year contract price is the subsidized price Verizon offers when you upgrade with them. When you use your upgrade, you are required to sign a new 2 year contract.
You can find the pricing for phones on the Verizon website. When you look at the phones available it will say the pricing of each, each phone is different.
Then, if you do have an NE2 credit to use (which will either be $30, $50, or $100 depending on your calling plan and account) that will be deducted from the 2 year contract price shown on the website when you go to upgrade. So, if you find a phone you like and you know which NE2 amount you are eligible for, just subtract the NE2 amount from the 2 year contract price of the phone you want.
If you do not have an NE2 credit, you will just have to pay the 2 year contract price of the phone with no additional discount.

Music/Photos only look in certain folders?

I copy all my music to a folder called 'Music' and my photos go to whatever the phone's default folder is. However, when I go into the music player, it lists all the audio files on my phone including sound effects, voice recordings and so on. The photo gallery does a similar thing, showing all images on my phone including album art and contact photos. I just want it to show the photos i've taken!
Is there a way to set these library applications to only look in certain folders?

Symbian devices are designed to pick up compatible file types wherever they are stored on the device, because there are always at least two and increasingly with high-end devices like the Nseries three different accessible memories (phone memory, mass memory and memory card).
There are alternative ways to organise data, for example the photo gallery will normally have the feature to create multiple galleries, and the music player will use ID3 tag data to organise music, which should leave all ringtones under something like 'unknown artist' or 'unknown album', and also the feature to create multiple playlists.

Why does my iPhone 5c only charge with certain chargers ?

My phone 5c only charges with certain iPhone 5 chargers. My charger broke and I bought a new original apple charger but it didn't work. The charger functioned fine with my friends iPhone but not with mine, I plugged my phone to her charger and it charged fine ? This is happening with my cousins iPod as well. What's the problem ?

Probably dirt or pocket lint in the Lightning connector on the bottom of the phone. Clean it with a wood or plastic toothpick.

IPhone only rings for certain people

any way to get my iphone to only respond to certain people? i would like only one or 2 people to be able to make a sound on my phone at night, so when they call, it wakes me, and other sounds, general email and text, not to make a sound at night.
i can obviously put it on silent but then those one or 2 people where the sound is important, wont make a sound on my phone so wont wake me...

Call AT&T support (dial 611) from the phone. Maybe they can run some tests to your phone from their end.

Not sure what they offer in Canada, but I use Google Voice. It provides a phone number that will ring through to your phone (or multiple phones if you want). There is a free app you can use to place calls so they appear from your Google Voice # instead of your 'real' number.
I use the Google # for business calls/texts and only use "my" number for personal stuff. Google gives you control over things like call screening and allows you te set timers for when it is permitted to ring through to your normal number, which is great for business calls. If I'm not on call, I keep the timer set to shut it down except during business hours.
Might be worth looking into.

My new iPod has now crashed and is unusable after updating it. Don't update. I just lost the only good thing I have because of them pushing me into it.

My new iPod has been updated. I was pushed into it. So then I thought "it could use one it could improve it". I read as much as the terms and conditions as I could read that was understandable. And now it's been less then two days and my iPod is now practically useless. Don't update your iPod. It was the only good thing I had. I pleded and pleded to my parents for weeks and save up for weeks to get one. And now it's not even a year old and I've lost it. I can't afford to get a new one. And I can't afford to loose this one. i worked hard every day all day For months to be able to even get a quarter of what i needed. And my parents agreed to pay for the rest and it was my Christmas present. i was extremely happy. It's the best thing that I have and I've lost it because of an update Apple pushed me into. Now they won't help me.
my iPod is freezing every 5-10 minutes for long periods of time. It is:

My iphone 6 connects to the car via bluetooth, the music works good, but the phone calles does not work. It looks like it is working but doesn't. I have tried in my Hyundai and a Dodge rent car and get the same results. I updated the last 8.0.2.

It worked the first day i had the phone, and then i updated to Ios 8.0.2 and it quit working.
Now when i get in the car, it acts like it is connected and makes the same call it was on after syncing to bluetooth, but it really isn't on a call. This is happening on both cars.
Does anyone know if this is the phone and i need to take it to Apple or if there is an issue that Apple is working on getting a fix for?
My son in law has the exact same phone as me, we both got the on 10/6, he had a Dodge Dart and his is working via bluetooth.
Someone HELP please, as i consider this a safety issue by not having my calls go to bluetooth.

We had the same problem, but figure out the solution.
You MUST have at least 1 song added to your ITUNE! After you add a free song, then everything else should work as normal!
