LP Cover Art Shows Up In iTunes, Not Always On Apple TV

When I started using Apple TV on Sunday I realized that some of my fave LP's have low-res LP art which looks awful on the LCD HDTV.
So I went into iTunes, highlighted the 12 songs on "Rubber Soul", right clicked for "get info", checked the box for "artwork", left it blank, and hit update. That removed the artwork from the MP3's. Next, I went to Amazon, found a hi-res image, and dragged it into the same "artwork" box in iTunes which loaded the better image into all 12 songs. Spent 3 hours repeating this process for about 500 songs, pulling some of the artwork from iTunes own "get album artwork" option.
They look great in iTunes, problem is now instead of fuzzy low-res images in Apple TV I have no images whatsoever. This is happening about half the time. This is happening for both artwork I pulled down from the internet (Amazon) and artwork I pulled down directly from iTunes ("get album artwork").
Yes, I sync'd (multiple times) to try to correct the problem.
Any ideas? Anyone know why some of the artwork made it over to aTV perfectly and some of the artwork didn't? And, importantly, what the fix is?

You can download the program: Album Art Cover Downloader ver 1.6 from the net. Use the program to delete your currently installed covers. Then use that program to find the album art with higher pixels (at least 300X300). Then open itunes and find the songs you just updated. Right click on get info.. then go through each song with the art work highlighted - itunes has to reread each song tag. Then synch with apple tv and voila - artwork in much improved definition.

Why isn't my cover art showing up when i download purchased music to my ipod touch?

sadly when i buy music from the itunes store the cover art shows up but then when i download it to my ipod touch 4 generation it doesnt show up. i have the newest version of itunes. some one help, the cover art is easier for my brother to detect songs.

If by cover art, you mean Cover Flow, then ensure that potrait orientation is not locked by bringing in the multi-tasking bar (Double clicking the home button), swiping to the right and make sure that there is no lock icon!
Then you can rotate your iPod and see your music in Cover Flow!

Try doing a hard reset on the phone;
1. Hold Home and Sleep/Wake buttons at the same time;
2. Wait for the Apple logo to appear (ignore the slide to Power Off option)
3. Let go of the buttons when you see Apple on the screen
4. Allow iPhone to reboot;
If you are still unable to get the phone to power on, charge, or connect to iTunes; it could possibly require service. (hardware replacement)

Cover art for Pdf in Itunes 11

Please, does anybody solved the problem with cover art in pdf in itunes 11?? You can add an image to use as cover art to a pdf in itunes 11.4 but it won´t stick, any apple forum geniuses out there that could solved this? anybody know how can i send this inquiry to apple developers?

Can you tell me a little more about your situation? I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish. You authorize your computer to sync or download iTunes; you associate your iPhone with your Apple ID, not with iTunes.

Why doesn't my podcast cover art show in store but appears in iTunes library after I subscribe?

As soon as I subscribe via iTunes on my computer and look at the podcast in the Library, the cover art is there. I can't figure out what's wrong. The image is 1400x1400. The original feed submitted to iTunes is here: http://feeds.feedburner.com/LiberationRadio

Great, that explains it. We had moved the image to a new URL and actually updated the original feed that we input into Feedburner with that URL ... but we also had Feedburner Smartcast turned on which creates its own iTunes tags and overrides any that may already be in the feed, and the image URL in Smartcast there was the old one.
In any case, we not only updated Feedcast Smartcast with the correct image URL, but we also put a copy of the image at the old URL so that even the URL presently used by iTunes should work.
Any idea how long it takes for the store to update the cover art? Anything we can do to expedite it?

Movies do not run and cover art is missing in iTunes Mac after sync with iPad

I down load purchased movies from Apple to my iPad. The movies runs fine and cover art is visible. Great. However, after I sync with my Mac Mini, the cover art on my iPad is missing. The cover art in the iTunes library on my Mac Mini is missing, and the movies won't run on the Mac Mini. Whe I re-sync, I get a message that says the movie can't sync because it can't be found.

Is your album cover issue resolved?
If not, have you perhaps tried to disable iTunes Match on your iPhone (in Settings) and signed out of your Apple ID (on the phone)? This might work.
The issue seems to be that the iTunes Match server does not update all the tracks with the new album cover art, particularly if you added the covers some time after importing the CD's (remember then that there was no cover art on some of them!)
Another possible solution is to rename the iTunes database (.itl file) by appending say "old" (without the quotes) and recreate a new one with maybe 1 or 2 albums, wait for the server to match the tracks (you can check on your iPhone after disabling and then re-enabling iTunes Match on the phone), then delete the 1 or 2 albums so that the iTunes music library is empty and wait again; you can check the iPhone again.
Finally, quit iTunes, delete the latest database and rename the original database with its original name (by removing the "old" appendage).
Then let iTunes Match reload the server with all the information: this might take a few minutes (hours?) depending on the size of the library.
In the meantime you can remove all the music on the iPhone by disabling iTunes Match in the phone's settings.

Cover art shows on the podcast page but not in search

Ever have this happen? When you search for my podcast by keywords, the podcast appears in the list, but without the cover art. But on the podcast page itself, the cover art is just fine. http://foundit.libsyn.com/rss The podcast name is Found It! and the keywords for searching are geocaching, GPS, and hiking.

Can one share album cover art between WMP and iTunes?

I am regularly using Windows Media Player as well as iTunes (the latter mainly to fill my iPod). All my albums (well-organized in subdirectories) contain a file "folder.jpg" (which is the standard unser windows) containing the album's cover art.
iTunes apparently goes off and tries to download the cover art from some server and then stores it in its own setup under .../My Music/iTunes/Album Artwork/..., but obviously isn't very good at that, since it finds only maybe 20% of the covers, the rest remains empty. Is there a way to tell iTunes to pick up the cover art from those folder.jpg files?
Ideal would of course be, if the two could share these files (i.e. pointing to the same file (e.g. using NTFS hard-links). Is that possible? Does anyone know a tool or script that does that automagically?

No. You can work around this by using another program like Mp3tag to embed the artwork from folder.jpg into the ID3 tag. Despite its "mp3" name, Mp3tag will also work on AAC files.
You cannot use hard links because the iTunes artwork files are not simply picture files. The pictures are embedded in some other (undocumented of course) ITC format (I say ITC format because that is the file extension -- I have no idea what it means). Also, you would have to figure out the folder structure.
Another option is to use an external program to "trick" itunes into downloading the artwork from your own server. See these threads/posts:

Iphone not showing up in itunes & not connecting to computer

When i plug my iphone into my computer (WinXP, SP2) via the dock and straight from the USB cable, it does not show up in iTunes, Windows does not recognise it as a USB device and the camera pop doesnt show up. Basically Windows isn't recognising it at all.
I've tried:
restarting my computer.
reinstalling itunes.
creating a new account on my pc, installing itunes and seeing if it connects; it did and worked fine, i logged out and and back onto my own profile, my iphone showed up and synched fine. I then restarted and the same problem occurred.
I've tried it in all my USB ports, and none want to read it. I have also tried other USB devices, which also don't want to be recognised. This wasn't the case a couple of days ago.
Also my iphone docked and synched fine after the upgrade both to itunes and the iphone.
Anyone else having this problem? I think it's a general USB problem with my PC, anyone have any ideas.

Again I right clicked on the .inf file copy in the C:\WINDOWS\inf directory and hit install. It then created the corresponding usbaapl.PNF in that directory.
I unplugged the pod from the usb port, rebooted the system, plugged the pod in again and voila, there it was. It found it and installed correctly"

80g not syncing TV shows purchased on iTunes (not an HD issue)

I have several TV programs that I purchased, some as long as 4 years ago, and some only a year ago. On my old computer I manually synced because my computer couldn't hold all my iPod content. Then I got a new computer and started auto syncing.
Now all my old TV shows (purchased through iTunes when I used my previous computer, copied to this computer from my iPod) won't sync to my iPod. I have selected the check box and selected all episodes of all shows. I have also tried doing "selected" and then checking the boxes, nothing works.
This is so enfuriating as all of these were legitimately purchased. I can watch them fine in iTunes, but can't get the d*mn things to copy/sync!

OKAY...this was the same thing that happened to me and I figured out the problem...it might be the same for you all...when you plug your iPod into the usb and the iPod Updater screen appears through your iTunes account, go to the "TV Shows" tab at the top. MAKE SURE YOU SELECT "Sync ALL videos." It turns out that the videos that weren't appearing on my iPod were the ones that had been watched at least once. I had the "Sync ALL UNWATCHED" option selected, there for all of the episodes that were viewed on my computer were not synced onto my iPod. HOPE THIS HELPS!

Playing the Cover Art Showing

So I just upgraded to a Classic, and now there's always Cover Art flying around on the screen. Is there any shortcut to begin playing the song that goes with the cover art that's currently being displayed, or do I have to drill through the menus?

Changes to songs in ITunes not reflected in Apple TV after 24 hours. Options?

I updated the genres of most of the music (26 gig) in my ITunes (running on an MBA). 24 hours later my Apple TV still shows the old genres. I've rebooted the Apple TV and restarted ITunes. What are my possible next steps?
